Hello,
Right now I have a Gear Question (Obviously)
I have the full Wolver Set with a Cyrotech Alchemer, Shadowtech Alchemer, Callibur, and a Snarble Barb
I mainly do Snarbolax and JK runs so I figured that would be decent gear

Buuuut I think it's time for an upgrade once I get enough money
I used to be more gunner but I find swording is a lot easier for me although I'd still probably carry a gun..
Does anyone have some tips on which gear to get and which new weapons and shield?
I'm thinking of the Wise Owlite Shield

here are a few tips. see if u like them.

it might be a good idea to get one of the other specialized suits: demo or gunslinger.
what kind of damage do u moslty take? seek some armor that has resistance to it.
try a heavy sword (buy a hatchet to see how its like, then a troika if u like it) and a fast one. start varying!
or a brandish if u dont want to let go of the balanced line.
as for guns, a blaster and a magnus will do ok. an autogun is kinnda too slow, but if youre going for vanaduke, itll help.
if ya do those boss runs, then u might have a few jelly gems. try to get an antigua or sealed sword.
have fun 2.

I personally would either (a)

I personally would either (a) upgrade your calibur since it does normal damage and is useful all around.
(b) Start making a Dark Thorn shield ( I think the first one is twisted targe?). Anyways, the shield will
be useful in the jelly palace and it gives an added damage bonus to swords. Grey owlite shield is a good
shield too and is used a lot in FSC.

Thanks for the tips you two.

Thanks for the tips you two. ^^
Hmm, I don't really like heavy swords. I value speed more because I can easily dodge everything so I'm looking into the Slicer (I think that's what it's called?)
I've heard the Magnus is good for beasts and yeah I kind of want to craft a Super Blaster to go along with my sword.
And yeah I'll probably get the Dark Thorn Shield or probably the Gray Owlite One. Another option is the Barbarian one?

Grey Owlite Shield is a great

Grey Owlite Shield is a great shield, but if you are running JK & Snarby make getting Bristling Buckler->Twisted Targe->Dark Thorn Shield->Barbarous Thorn Blade a higher priority this will also give your sword damage a buff. Owlite is great for ICMF, FSC, and any Construct/Fire/Shock stratum. I recommend getting at least 3 shields and switch them out according to your run to suit the specific dangers ahead. I recommend Owite (Elemental/Normal/Fire/Shock), Snarby (Piercing/Normal/Sword DMG +), and Skelly (Shadow/Normal/Poison/Freeze) shields.

I'm not a big fan of the Magnus, because you can't walk and fire it. I solo a ton so I like to say mobile. I love my Valiance, but especially if you run it parties you may prefer an Elemental Alchemer (like your Cyrotech) for taking out Constructs (gun puppies). The Polaris (upgraded Pulsar from ICMF) is another popular Elemental sidearm, but it is a bit funkyer to use and can blind teammates.

Wolver is a great choice for a swordsman (as seen by it being everywhere), but you will probably eventually want several sets to cover all the damages just like with the shields (not as big a deal in T2 though).

You can pretty much do anything with a Calibur line and a Blaster line. They have been my go to weapons for a long time. You are going to eventually want to branch out though and get a sword to cover each damage type though. If you don't like heavy swords the Brandish is great because you can craft a bunch of 2*s and upgrade one to an Elemental Brandish (Voltedge, Glacius, Combuster) and one to a Shadow Brandish (Nightblade->Silent Nightblade->Acheron). The Snarble Barb is an awesome blade and well worth upgrading as unlike the split damage Shadow and Elemental blades, Piercing blades deliver pure damage (higher gain vs weak enemies).

Before you write off heavy swords try one with ASI (attack speed increase). This can be achieved pretty easy with a Swiftstrike Buckler (ASI High to all weapons). This is the best shield for T1 period and still really great in T2, downside is that it is a deadend at 3* (no upgrade). ASI and simple techniques like shield canceling (great for all swords) can make heavy swords a lot of fun.
