Lockdown-what weapons do you use?

What weapons do you use. I know a lot will use the flourish/snarble barb, with auto-aim, but you will probably use others along with them. I'm just wondering, what?

I use flourish(surprise...), and iceburst brandish/shockburst brandish/nightblade for striker. For a recon, i use pulsar, iceburst brandish/shockburst brandish/nightblade. peg with 2 shots, and disappear.reappear and repeat for pulsar. with catalyser, ocasionally, charge. even when they're dead, the orb floats around for a bit. killed 3 people once with it. It's amazing how no one thinks about the brandish line in Tier 2, and get destroyed by them. and those who do, meet a flourish.
So, what do use?

T2 is Sealed Sword
T3 is Gran Faust

Yes, I like the heavy swords.

Ironically, did you know the last hit of Static Edge does LESS damage then the first 2 Merethif?

Occasionally run Umbra Driver over the Callahan, although in my experience Callahan is better in Lockdown.

@echoez so you never head down to lower tiers. I'm T2, but i head down to T1 occasionally, with heavy hatchet, and hot/static edge, using charge attacks. elemental FTW!

I'm pretty new to the Lockdown thing but from what I can tell, I do pretty well with this set in T3:

Final Flourish
Glacius
Polaris
Shivermist Buster

The Final Flourish does a lot to anything that isn't Skolver, and the Glacius does a lot to Skolver, so I have the basic CQC stuff covered. Shivermist complements playing as a Guardian with pseudo-roadblocks and the Polaris basically for corridor control, although typically it doesn't work that well. ._. I'm considering switching it for the Iron Slug just to be able to deal all-around damage at range.

It's weird though because I expected playing with the top ten on the leaderboards to be a pain, but they're also quite nice. ^_^

Final flourish, Shivermist

Final flourish, Shivermist buster, Argent peacemaker (sometimes underestimated, but extremely useful against bombers) and Divine Avenger, buuuuut really slowly working on making a Gran Faust, which is far more "powerful" due to the fact that not much player do have an actualy shadow defence.
Best damage with this setup (except you replace flourish with leviathan blade that time) is 25713. Striker ftw.

For T1(All I can play...Till I upgrade my current stuff..), I usually go with Heavy Hatchet and an elemental sword(Hot Edge currently, am working on Static Edge.) The Heavy Hatchet is my main weapon, while the Hot Edge is more for different match ups. I really tried to like Thwack Hammer, but to me it feels much too slow than the Heavy Hatchet.

For T2, I'm thinking of a Bomber Set that uses Sun Shards and Haze MK11. I always wanted to try out Sun Shards....

I use

Glacius (CTR high)
Electron Vortex (CTR med) - I'm really just too lazy to go get a 4th PvP weapon. Would be a Gran Faust or Voltaic Tempest.
Barbarous Thorn Blade (ASI low)
Callahan

Then I have two 5* sword damage trinkets with skolver coat for max damage goodness. One charge attack from my Glacius downs most Strikers.

My loadout: 1) Gran Faust.

My loadout:

1) Gran Faust. Mostly for people with tons of pierce resist. I play recon most of the time and slow weapon + attack speed decrease + no ASI on my gear just leaves me exposed for way too long when I take a swing. So I stick mostly with my BTB.

2) Barbarous Thorn Blade. I love this thing. As recon I can sneak up to someone, hit them in the face, recloak, dodge the counter, and hit them again. As a guardian I can hit (and interrupt) other guardians and strikers very easily, especially those using heavier swords. Not the greatest damage, but unless they're wearing full skolver/vog + pierce trinkets it's still usually a better deal than the GF.

3) Polaris. Good for harassing big groups of enemy players, especially if they're just sitting on the button. May not get many kills but it does a lot of aoe damage and is great for softening up guardian shields so the strikers can take them down. And it shocks.

4) Argent Peacemaker. Situational, great for bombers and finishing off people who are running away since I don't play striker.

I only play T2 Lockdown

the last time I played LD my loadout was like

Flamberge
Graviton Charge
Chroma Suit
Demo Helm
Recon.

Spam the Graviton Charge while trying to cap a point and watch as people get sucked into it or stop and stare because they cannot figure out how to get past the vortexes (Run the hell away if a Guardian sees you though, Graviton Charge does not work too well on the Guardian shield)

What I use for Lockdown

I fight using a final flourish, a Divine Avenger(might switch that for a Voltedge), a Gran Faust, and an Argent Peacemaker.
You pretty much HAVE to get the good weapons/items to even have a chance with beating people with uvs and full skolver sets and such...

T3 Gear

I haven't play spiral knights in 6 months, so I'm still pretty new to lockdown. However, it only took me a few games to figure out what weapons to use.

1. Flourish and/or Gran Faust
2. Polaris

I wear skolver gear since Everyone carries a flourish, but on occasion there will be games where almost everyone is wearing a skolver. This is when I usually use the Gran Faust. Flourish however is the best weapon hands down, simply because the first swing is exploitable due to most DPS.

Then I use polaris to deal with shock bombers, other bombs aren't as effective. Voltaic tempest bomb is simply devastating due to its disabling effect, but not for damage. If you want high damage go for guns over bombs.

I've only seen one player who used the Shadow Alchemer and Polaris only... he kick some serious butt. I would say that's another good combo. Sentenza is a good gun, but I hardly see anyone kill with it.

I just realized...

I just realized... Aljevoias ... posted the same loadout as I did for t3 PvP. I know people see it as a problem with this game when people figure out the best loadouts... you join a game and everyone is wearing a skolver set, equipped with gran faust, flourish, and their favorite gun. However, for casual gamers such as myself who aren't interested in obtaining the best UVs, these are all you need:

T3 PvP Bread and Butter-
1. Flourish type weapon or Sealed Sword
2. Polaris or Umbra Driver

You don't need a UV, I would sell any good UVs you have then save up CE. Then use a fraction of that CE to purchase an extra weapon slot, token slots and maybe use a sword module.

@ Spiltmilk I agree that OOO

@ Spiltmilk

I agree that OOO could do more to try and balance out T3 lockdown. In a way it's kind of good though - the top-end lockdown gear isn't super hard to obtain and everyone knows what it is.

Skolver is just a no-brainer; shock and freeze bombs are immensely powerful in the hands of a skilled bomber because they continually try to apply the status,. This means that if you want to mitigate bombs you need to be outright immune to the status for the resist to matter at all (at least against bombs). Skolver makes you immune freeze with no UVs, and with one 5 star slash trinket you'll have max sword damage bonus. Additionally, you can buy wolver pieces with shock UVs pretty cheaply and upgrade them, and now you have some protection against Polaris and the odd shock alchemer as well (though unelss you get to full immunity it won't do much about shock bombs)

In T3 Lockdown I typically equip my Divine Avenger and Cold Iron Carver, but I almost never use the CIC. I always go Guardian because it's incredibly useful to have someone around to heal all the suicide Strikers. I also laugh at Shivermists because with a Skolver Cap and Ash Tail Coat, the only effect is the initial explosion. =)

Graviton bomb is very good for lockdown now that 3 rings fixed the affects teammates thing. I really use the graviton more because I prefer support.
