@Krys
How do you use the antigua? against guardians, recons, strikers, or anyone?
Lockdown-what weapons do you use?
@warriorrogue. pretty much anyone. when im approaching a CP sometimes its nice to hang back a little and get off a few shots. also if ur sitting on one so you can shoot people running towards you. and its great for picking off my fellow bombers. on a more trivial note i also use it to shoot blocks and other obstacles early so i can cloak thru. tbh honest the super blast bomb is all i rly need.
also been experimenting with the 3* shock vortex bomb (forget what its called). its interesting but not something i would rely on. good for catching strikers at least
Full ash tail set that I'm trying to get to Skolver, Divine Avenger, Gran Faust. I'm also trying to get a Barbarous Thorn Blade. Sometimes i use Azure Guardian when I think I might need some extra defense.
- Barbarous thorn blade
- Callahan
- Shivermist buster
- Voltaic tempest
- Divine Avenger (use with caution since sword is slow and other players can use that against you)
- Leviathan blade, and any other medium speed swords
T1 lockdown is my only impressive set, though I got fallen/dragon mix tor T3, quite useful.
T1;
Frostbreaker helm, medium stun UV
Frostbreaker armor, Medium elemental UV
Striker loadout sheild
Heavy hatchet, ASI medium, equals ASI high, Ctr medium, and damage bonus low with striker
Pummel gun, CTR medium, makes CTR VH becuase I've leveled it
Last but not least, a heart pendant, I've got a net loss of one hp
I have to say that the second ASI trinket made a huge, huge difference for me in T3 as a striker. Max damage + max ASI is very potent.
Now i want to roll an ASI UV on my BTB and get a tri-heart trinket or something though. Strikers get 2 shot by pretty much everything, speed is the main defense.
My T2 loadout:
Recon Cloak
Gunslinger Hat
Fused Demo Suit
Magnus
Lightning Capacitor
I usually end up being the only person on my team without any swords, and it turns out to be a very fun role. :)
Fang of Vog, Final Flourish,
T2 Still going Flourish
T1 Static Edge
Recon Module
Dusker Cap and Dusker Coat
Twisted Snarble Barb
Kilowatt Pulsar
Sealed Sword
Toxic Needle
Being a fast piercing weapon, TSB is a pretty basic choice to bring in, and it counters out the recon's slowed down sword attacks. Not to mention, it makes the kills so much quicker and satisfying once the foe's defense is nerfed. Even without a defense nerf, a few strikes from the TSB can bring down foes easily. Kilowatt Pulsar is good for creating a distraction to lure enemies away from a base, or stop a bomber from charging and spamming his bomb. Shock is also a good status to inflict upon others, as it gives you ample opportunity to strike while they're spasming, and it dishes out extra damage. As an alternative, I guess a Voltech Alchemer would work. Sealed Sword and Toxic Needle are merely last resort weapons for me, despite their drawbacks for recons. Sealed Swords' sheer power helps a bit when there's a mob. Poison's really useless for a recon to dish out, though, as you can already nerf someone's defenses. The Dusker Cap and Coat are pretty standard, being some of the best armor you can possibly wear. People rarely use weapons that deal Shadow Damage, granted they don't have a Nightblade or Shadowtech Alchemer, and even then, Normal and Piercing defense are most important in T2 lockdown. Considering crafting another Shockburst Brandish to use instead of my Sealed Sword, also.
Tier 3 Lockdown
Edit: New stuff.
Skolver coat
Divine Veil UV Freeze Low
Striker
Grand Flourish
Voltedge
Faust
Volt Driver
4* Freeze Resist Trinket
Most of the time I'm playing Striker and using Faust or Grand Flourish.
Cheers,
~W
I do T2 lockdown, not fond of 1 hit KO's in general, and I had enouph 3* stuff laying around to make a nice set, I had to upgrade some wolver stuff i had to dusker, but i plan on making a vog set eventualy so its not wasted money.
dusker helm and armor, the armor has some low UVs (peirce and poisen i think)
weapons are (again chosen because i had em)
Snarble barb (great movement with attacks, nice damage and speed).
Antiga (fast attack and fast bullets, great for finishing off a runner/interupting a bomber)
2* fire haze bomb (decent area denial, work wonders on flushing out cloaked recons) UV CTR low
sometimes i switch out the barb for Sealed sword (hits like a truck, and I plan on building an avenger in the near future)
I plan on making a shock brandish and kilowatt pulsar eventualy, as they are easily the best weapons for t2 areas, shock stops guardians from blocking, slows runners, and prevents attacks. Freeze is nice but guardians can blocked through it with no problems. Someitmes i wonder if poisen would be nice, the damage bonus it provides is small but definatly adds up, and I, the ripper that I am, make great use of the hearts of my victems during fights. But its so hard to SEE the effects of poisen on the other side, wereas freeze, fire, stun and shock are all quite VISABLE.
who said 1HKO's aren't in T2 lockdown? i know of at least over 8 ways to 1HKO someone, even in resistant Armour. especially duskers...
I use a combination of GF and BTB. I also use Polaris occasionally.
I haven't really bothered to adapt my loadout for any game material other than FSC. Thus:
T3 Loadout:
Divine Avenger (Triple uv'd)
Argent Peacemaker (Soon to be triple uv'd)
And of course...full vog cub with uvs.
I have just talked myself into crafting a slash module to determine whether they actually have a significant effect damage-wise.
I am completely satisfied with my lockdown loadout. Seriously, in all the challenges this game has thrown at me so far, I stand by my view that equipment will only get you so far. Could I do better in lockdown with a more balanced loadout? Maybe and maybe not. When you play lockdown long enough, you learn tricks that prevent you from taking much damage while dishing it out regardless of your loadout.
My sword set is
-snarble barb
-arc razor (saving up for sealed sword)
-freezing vaporizer mk II
-magic veil
-elemental cloak
-blizzbreakshield (saving up for the bristling buckler)
My bomb set is
-crystal bomb
-spine cone
-freezing vaporizer mk II
-spiral demo suit
-spiral demo helm
I do tier 2 lockdown and I fair pretty well just sometimes with my swords it is hard to hit the other players even with auto-lock on. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do for this situation?
BUMP
and also, wait untill they are closer. or just use another weapon that fits your style more
Pretty much my only loadout (T3):
Dark Thorn Blade (+Med Sword ASI UV)
Skolver Cap (+Low Freeze Resist UV)
Vog Cub Coat (+Low Piercing Defense UV)
Blackhawk (two useless UVs)
Elite Slash Module
Quick Strike Module
I always play as Guardian. So my final stats are +Max Sword ASI, +Very High Sword Damage, -Low Gun ASI.
I'd like a btb, as well as a decent gun.
I just started playing LD and I only have T2 clearance. I'm in the gear that I'm working on upgrading to 4*...
Dusker Set
Owlite Shield
Sealed Sword
Toxic Needle
And I mainly play as guardian.
I'm tempted to try out a kamarin/grintovec someday, but I'm not sure. But what I do know for sure is that I enjoy heavy weapons in lockdown over those toothpicks. :D
T2:
drake scale helm, mostly just because i'm a little vain and want to stand out from all of the duskers, plus the whole wolver cap line just looks really ugly to me
dusker coat, obvious reasons
2x 3* freeze tokens, super cheap because i have way too many primals and occasionally being able to go further into an ice bomb radius can catch the bomber off guard
Swift Flourish, obvious reasons
Magnus, great gun for finishing off people running away or for a non-striker coming at you, bullets go fast, it does great damage and the occasional stun can be a nasty surprise
I mainly do T3, and here are my Top 2 Used Sets.
Ancient Set, Helm has Ele MAX
Fang of Vog, UV CTR Med
Gran Faust, UV ASI Low
Barbarous Thorn Blade, UV Undead High (Need to reroll)
Polaris CTR Low (Need to Reroll) OR Mega Magnus (Soon to be a Callahan)
Heart Pendant/Some Module
2 Modules
Striker/Guardian
OR
Skolver Cap, UV Shadow High
Skolver Coat, UV Shadow Low, or more commonly used, Skolver Coat UV Normal MAX
Same FoV
Same GF
Same BTB
Same Guns
Same Trinkets
Normally striker, every now and then Guardian if we're winning by alot.
Skolver, x2 ASI trinkets, DA, Polaris. I don't grind often so my arsenal's pretty spartan.
It works fairly well (provided I don't derp out), but dealing with mass guardians and rabid hamsters w/ toothpicks can be tricky at times.
T2 is all I ever do.
My weapons tend to be the auto-aimed twisted toothpick and the noobishly overpowered Sealed Sword.
As for the fancy duds that keep me from not dying, I wear a Sturdy Cobalt Helmet (with an unnoticeable shock resistance) and a Dusker coat.
Oh, and I wear two duel heart pansy trinkets because I'm a striker most of the time.
Dusker set, sealed sword and snarble barb, done, you can deal massive damage with the sealed sword and you can chew down on enemies with the snarble barb.
I do T2, mostly striker.
I like using Arc razors and brandishes. Have yet to really experiment much with guns/bombs; maybe I'll try the Antigua or catalyzers, since pulsars look pretty bland to use. For armor, a combo of Dusker and Brute Jelly (high piercing def) works for me.
I'd completely forgotten about this. And bighondo, use antigua over catalyser. I've got 1.1K damage JUST from using antigua, and catalyser only is useful if you get a charge on. Hard, but very fun...
I only do T2, as a recon shard bomber
My usual loadout:
Sun Shards
Freezing Vaporizer Mk II
Fused Demo Helm
Fused Demo Suit
Two Tri-Heart Pendants
I'm trying to replace my Fused Demo set with a Quicksilver set (darn those toothpicks), and I occasionally replace the freeze bomb with a different 3* bomb
Actually for lockdown I use my Ionized Salt Bomb. It's awesome to use because of the shock :D
I also use Cryo Driver and Fearless Rigadoon but I quit auto target a long time ago because it's cheap.
I'd probably use the ISB if the charge time weren't so obnoxiously slow.
Spiral Scale Helm(Soon to Add UVs; Only Helm I found without Penalties)
Circuit Breaker Suit(Soon to Add UVs; Great Against Shockers)
Bolted Blade(All-Rounder Blade; Same Charge as Brandish, so I'm Comfortable)
Zapper(Use Charge to Shock Unsuspecting Enemies w/ Recon Clock On)
Recon Class
Class: Guardian
Armor: Dusker set
Weapons: TSB, Toxic needle
FTW
in T2 i go recon with:
fused demo suit + dusker cap
Super blast bomb
Freezing atomizer MKII
Antigua
Shockburst brandish
both bombs are at level 10 so i have max CTR. i use shock burst brandish for an ambush if i come across a lone player on a capture point, antigua for range and clip size. thinking of maybe getting a shock or fire bomb instead...undecided.
