The idea of an expert training arena has been circulated around in the forums, which lead me to think of an Expert Training hall. An expert training hall would not make your weapons blunted and weaken status defects and attack on your armor. Then we could actually test out equipment properly. Also, damage is different depending what damage you deal. I think there should be small rooms that would each hold a different kind of monster (jellies, constructs, fiends, beasts, undead, e.t.c.) so you can see what you are good against and what you are not. That would also mean acutally TRAINING in the training hall, not showing off your style. Also, I think that there should be rooms that hold certain status defects and monsters of that theme (for example, a room with all ice monsters, and freezes you every few seconds). Suggestions appreciated, but please no trolling. :)
Expert Training Hall?
Please move this to the 'suggestions' section. Yes, I do agree with your idea. It would also teach advanced techniques like shield bumping or even shield cancelling.
Sure, they'll do that, with an entry fee in cr or ce. Because it's almost regular gameplay that way. Regular gameplay is supposed to be in the clockworks only. Not counting PVP.
I want this too. Hopefully their not gonna start with "Training Keys" that can occasionally be obtained from lockboxes >_>
Dunno about this, but there is one thing that is actually missing from the Training Room: Remedy Pills. And some people don't know the high value that they have. My friends, for example, never ever change their vials for Remedy Pills and even I have told them a few times they won't remember and get burned to death in FSC.
Put them please with the elemental traps, and then people will be aware of that more often...
God sometimes I think my pills are more important than my sword...
I don't think it has to be real game-play. Just some stationary monsters we can attack to see how much damage our weapons inflict and how many times we have to hit, etc.
my thread is sorta like this one.
