Actually, you were taking their side. That statement above means that you were also disappointed with what you saw and had to post about it, which you did. Nice try at attempting to make us look like the bad guys though. >_>

I wasn't just taking their side, I was explaining it. I hardly expressed my opinion the same way they did. The main reason I posted was to offer that side of the argument in a more composed way - and you can't seriously say I wasn't more composed than some of the people who posted.
Montages are generally only made to show off. I don't expect you to agree with me so don't bother arguing cause I'm not even going to get into that.
And I was disappointed with what I saw. I also said it wasn't a bad video so y u so defensive? It just wasn't what I expected and that's what the others are getting worked up about. It's still a good video. Just not what was expected, and that's because it's not what was advertised. So you and Fyridor can drop this "the problem is you weren't expecting what the OP was offering!" bull**** because that's my whole big thing point. Montages of SK are pretty pointless. That's why you don't see many of them, while you see a lot of straight gameplay videos.
And again, stop getting your panties in a bunch. I wasn't trying to argue and I wasn't trying to wind people up, I was just offering clarity. Keep treating me like I've been a douche if you want, I'm done here.

It's the one you directed at Fyridor that was laughable. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions but dissing a freaking Spiral Knights video because it isn't to your tastes is just ridiculous lol.

I'm showing off how awesome my holiday was and how yours wasn't by making a montage. Does that make sense? No, not really, I make a montage of my own holiday to share moments from my life with others, it's all in good spirit. In PvP montages, they're somewhat about showing off, sure, but this wasn't Lockdown, was it? It was just a montage to show you bits of UFSC.

Surely you can be disappointed with what you saw, there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with posting a comment saying you expected something different, surely, it's possible. As soon as you start stating, however, that the thread was not properly advertised for, when it was, you can expect people to react to your comment. Can you imagine us being disappointed in what we saw in your comment? It's the same thing. There's no offense or defense here, just sharing facts and opinions with each other here.

Read my earlier post, the advertisement was fine, it is exactly what it says. Gameplay/Walkthrough videos are as much of a video as a montage is. Then, in the first post of the thread, it almost literally says it's a montage.

It's just crying over spilled milk at best. It's also just going to be the old moving of the goal post. "What you debunked that argument? Well it's actually this! That one too? Well then now it's this." And so on. There's no really having an adult conversation, they're just people who put too much value in their own opinion, and treat disagreement as a personal attack. It's pretty clear by their continued efforts that they're just trying save face by winning some sort of e-argument in their head. They don't even realize there isn't actually anyone arguing back. ^_^

You were the one clicking the thread that said [This thread is about a color that we see every single day]. The first post in the thread said [Hi guys, this thread is about the color of blood, a color that we see every single day, here's a link to an image about the color]. Now, you clicked the thread being under the assumption the thread was about the color green (which is also a color that you see every single day), not red. I'm going to ask you very plainly now, who was the one making the wrong assumption here? His advertising was good, the thread is about a color that you see every single day, the first post basically told you that the color was going to be red too, it just did not literally state it. So what do you do? You comment on the thread, saying the thread was not properly advertised for because YOU were the one expecting it to be about the color green. Now, change the word color into video, change red into montage and change green into a walkthrough. Last but not least, change ''that we see every single day'' into ''UFSC''.
Another thing, I count exactly 17 people not caring about it being a montage or about what song is used and I count exactly 6 people whining about that, simply because they expected something different, something the thread COULD also have been about. Minority? I don't think so.
Lastly, if you're now going to complain about how the thread title should have been more specific; welcome to a forum. Thread titles are always vague. In case the thread does not turn out to be about what you thought it would be, you carry on.
@Khamsin ''That would be PVP bro.''. Shocking. I thought I mentioned movie trailers and my own work too. Montages on RPG games were never really that big to begin with, but they're out there. Just because this is an RPG game, doesn't mean that the video can not be a montage as it's less common. That's like assuming all cows have spots because most of them do.
