I have a Striker right now and I wanna upgrade it, and I don't know what to upgrade it to
Any ideas? and why?

Vile Striker is better, but even that has limited T3 use. These swords are super fun in T1/2 though. The Wild Hunting Blade is prettier though, if aesthetics is important to you.

Race-specific damage bonuses
Race-specific damage bonuses don't really strike me as worth it. Vile Striker is the better choice mechanically if you plan on going Skolver or Barbarous Thorn Shield or use sword damage+ trinkets. There's a cap of six "levels" of bonuses - and Beast Hunting Blade gives you three. If you don't have any other source of sword damage bonuses, though, Beast is perfectly fine.

As I see from the other threads, I'll keep my striker a striker for now and build a Brandish (->Nightblade->Silent Nightblade->Acheron)
And after I have that, I'll make the Striker a Dread Venom Striker.
So can you tell me if my other choice is also wrong (the Acheron)?

Since you asked, Acheron is great. So is Gran Faust, but I prefer Acheron. This will be your shadow sword. Then you just need a piercing sword (Final Flourish or Barbarous Thorn Blade) and an elemental sword (any of them, really), and you'll have all the swords you ever need.

Vile striker vs hunting blade
The vile striker and the Hunting blade are almost the same but the vile striker can give out poison, so vile blade is better but the hunting blade does look better.

On a side note, the Acheron does more damage to beasts then the Final Flourish, so from a damage aspect you'd be covered with just the Acheron. The flourish offers knockback though, which can be vital!
And ya, the WHB has the best attack animation in the game by far! It's a shame it's max use is quite limited.

I feel lonely in this clump o' [largely] DVS supporters.
Though the Wild Hunting Blade attacks slower, it has a hidden stagger value that reduces the number of hits needed to interrupt an enemy attack (I totally don't remember how many strikes you need to stagger an enemy with the WHB... derp).
Dread Venom Striker requires every single hit of an attack combo to interrupt an enemy mid-animation (but also has that slightly faster attack speed, unless that was changed recently or something).
Thus, the Wild Hunting Blade is the best if you want to blitz into a crowd of enemies (very compatible with Drakon's Scorching Barrier; make sure to attack in a counter-clockwise direction to maximise Scorching Barrier hits). WHB will ensure your survival moreso than the DVS in this situation.
The WHB also sends out obnoxiously annoying wolvers. #sweg
If you're cautious, you can even just stick with the Vile Striker. Between VS and DVS, there is no change in poison proc(programmed random occurance; status chance) or poison strength. If you want to save your Radiant Fire Crystals for other equipment, you can just get the Vile Striker.
Personally, pick whichever is the most visually appealing and wonderful-feeling. If it's the DVS that everyone says to get, sure go get that one, but be mindful that you have to be careful with the enemy interruption with VS and DVS that you did not have to be with the Striker.

for a swordsman, dread venom
for a swordsman, dread venom striker is better, because you usually aim for max sword damage against all types anyway. It's actually quite good and Im happy I made a new one (after having to sell it to vatel when I needed money)... you can use it on most runs, although some runs where people like to farm like FSC, its better not using it, because there are so many enemies and you can get them all with brandish charges. A cutter just slows down the killing.
if you are a bomber or gunner without sword damage bonus, wild hunting blade could be a nice side weapon when you are doing beast levels, I guess...
I may make one in the future just because of the cool animations it has.

Vile striker is widely preferred, the poison damage is far more useful than beast, especially against the bosses.
