Am I the only one that thinks that a low increase of gun attack speed is not even noticeable, even with the full set on? At least not with the Antigua line, which I assume goes with the gunslinger set because it's a six-shooter and fits the western theme.

Can we get a medium or high increase on either the gunslinger hat or sash at some point in the line? I mean, Vog cub gear gives a medium+medium attack speed increase on sword, plus the quickstrike buckler which gives high, and gunslinger gear still only gets at best low+low with no shield and no trinkets yet either.

The attack speed increases

The attack speed increases are less noticeable on fast weapons. Try again with low round weapons such as the autogun or magnus and you should notice the after shot delay significantly reduced.

With Gunslinger and an Alchemer, I honestly could not notice ANY change in shot efficiency. The problem is that the most efficient way of firing these weapons is avoiding reloads and letting the weapon cool between one-offs. I don't think Gunslinger actually increases the speed of firing this way. It only decreases the delay of a full salvo unload/reload.

The speed boost is very slight with Antigua but it's at least noticeable. Still, I'd much prefer a damage boost the way the armor is currently set up[EDIT: and the way guns work with attack speed boosts].

Switching from attack speed

Switching from attack speed high to none with my UV magnus/non-UV magnus and armor I could barely tell the difference. After several minutes of testing I was still questioning whether or not there was one, but I decided to be optimistic and assume it was tiny.

I do feel that gunners are getting shafted with their armor a bit.

Skolver/Vog and the bomber sets give crazy offensive bonuses, the best we get is low/low and we don't get elemental resistance along with it.

So not cool.

@FossaFerox - Nameless set is Normal/Elemental with +Medium attack speed on the helm. I assume the chest piece is the same, but haven't seen it. Shadowsun helm/chest is +Medium damage for guns. Justifier helm is +Medium attack speed as well, though I think it is Normal/Piercing. All of the wiki information for 5* Gunslinger armor is currently incorrect, I think.

Think the forum ate my reply...

But anyway, yeah I believe you are right. It starts at +Low, anyway. I got Nameless Poncho today and can confirm both parts of the set are Normal/Elemental with +Medium atk speed at level 1.
