My equipment is quite basic but I managed to finish tier 2 with a friend who have the same loadout as mine. I usually charge up my caliber then release it when I'm soloing to knock back the monsters but later on I want to use the sealed class sword (Divine Avenger) eventually.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (and a brief explanation):

Snarbolax: Completed as a team, Solo’ed
Royal Jelly: Completed with a guy with the same loadout.

I focus surviving and actually dealing some damage for the teams. Usually my strategy is find health to regenerate first then heal the dying teammates.

5. Who in do you know?, if any, that can vouch for you (not necessarily a requirement but helpful) and how did you hear about us?

I just recently knew Cloud Nine from the wiki page. Base on my instinct, this guild is very formal and cooperative so it's very cool to see a guild like this.

6. Any other details about yourself personally IRL, your intentions, why you want to be in , and what you think you can bring (in terms of personality, skills, etc.) and any other final comments?

In game, I know I'm weak compared to other people with 5 stars loadout. But the reason I wanted to join this guild is because it looked supportive and maybe could help and give advice to a rookie like me. But I guarantee you that once I'm a little more advanced, I will be a great guild member. Thanks for your time and consideration. :D

I'm a methodical, patient bomber. I choose my bombs wisely and wield them well. I often carry groups (especially in arenas). You know I'm at work when every enemy on the screen is on fire. =D And they stay that way, damnit!
I know enough to change up based on what the gate map says the themes are, and plan accordingly.

The sword suit is planned to give an equal amount of defense against all types, as well as a moderate amount of resistance to everything except stun.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (and a brief explanation):

Snarbolax: Completed as a team, Solo’ed
Roarmulus Twins: Never attempted
Royal Jelly: Completed as a team, Solo’ed down to him (did not beat)
Lord Vanaduke: Never attempted

I can solo most Tier 2 levels as a bomber. Bats can do me in if I don't have my freeze with me though--that's a problem.

I know Ashiram from the five line conversation we had after he was shouting about recruitment. It was the best five line conversation I've ever had, and he will naturally remember and vouch for me.

My equipment is the normal default everyone usually first sticks with. When I get enough crowns I'll buy ce from the market and get the real armor I want which is the Divine Set, Hail Driver, Glacius, Combuster, and Volcanic Plate Shield. It'll probably take forever but I'll get it.
P.S. I don't like to buy CE because for me it ruins the whole purpose. I'd rather earn it then get it the easy way.

I focus on surviving and teamwork. I try to have the fewest deaths so I don’t hurt the team. One time when my previous guild was actually active we were at tier 3 snow arena and we were so close but we died at the last round so I gave up my 7k to buy 100ce and revive my whole group....we died 1 minute later :P

I had been a part of a very large guild, the Clockwork Armada, for quite a bit, but I went inactive for a couple months recently and the clan was practically dead. I left the clan looking for a more active one and wound up at Transformations, but the clan isn't even 10 people and they aren't entirely active either.

3. Provide a brief explanation for your default loadout:

When I first got into tier 3, I needed a loadout that could be as well-rounded as possible to save crowns and energy. The Dread Venom Striker was great because it did solid damage to all types and was able to poison for extra damage. It also worked great solo since it was fast and its lunges with each attack let me move and dodge around as I was attacking. The DA comes in handy for Vanaduke and Graveyards (obviously), and the Gran Faust works great in arenas and in Lockdown. The argent peacemaker was a fast gun that let me keep moving around while I pelted enemies with it, and it was easy to hit faraway targets with it. I focused on shields (and still do) for defense and on weapons otherwise, so the helm and body I have are the same I have had since I first hit tier 3. Now that I have a good plethora of weapons and a shield for almost any situation, I will probably begin to focus on new armor... probably shadow armor since I don't have any yet.

Snarbolax: Completed as a team, Solo’ed
Roarmulus Twins: Completed as a team, Solo’ed
Royal Jelly: Completed as a team, Solo’ed

No Shadow Lair experience

I almost always compulsively revive other teammates when they are down and I compulsively try to knock people out of Freeze. I have a bad habit of stockpiling Health Capsules and trying not to use them unless I'm down to maybe 1 or 2 bars of health unless I'm soloing, in which case I'm a bit more liberal with my pills.

Hara-Hara-Ha is my friend, we met during a Vana run. He and another one of his friends (I don't remember who it was) were talking about how he was in the guild and how well it was run and everything. I kept my mind on the guild since then (I was still in the Clockwork Armada but was just about to leave) and now here I am applying for the guild.

1. IGN fouarms i have been in the jempire just recently and now the dark guardians i have been in brothers of enternity coup de grace (i just left becuase not my type of people >.<) and i cant remember the rest >,..,>
2 . i always wear vog cub cap/somthin else (costume) ash tail coat (saving for snarby coat once i beat the snarby shadow lair) DA silver six(vana runs) needle strike(vana runs) freezing atominizor (vana and or arenas) silent nightblade cold iron carver(for speed in vana runs if there is a shiver mist buster already in the party) either blakened crest/heavy plate shield/wise owlite(not crafted yet)
3. reason i use most of this stuff for vana is becuase i mostly run vana (for FoV just about 15 more tokens away :D) so i can kill the slags easyly and the guns (other then strike) is used for slags to and strike needle is an EPIK trojen slaya >:D about 1 normal hit then 1(or 2) charges will kill any trojen in the fsc i have tried( and failed ):<) the snarby shadow lair (one person was saying i wasnt readdy for a shadow lair and that was when i had no 4* guns and my avenger >.< so he was probably right -_-") but i keep on trying (and if i fail then im sorry for wasting someones key ):) becuase i wasnt equiped the right way or somthin but i keep trying hoping one day i get VERY lucky and have a PERFECT team with me on a shadow lair run :)
4. i can solo all bosses (other then vana) solo all tiers (other then sacnturum 6) and i have teamed ALL bosses and won MOST of the time :D (but u always will fail at somethings and that is how u become able to over come that opstical so u can do it better and beat it next time) my favorite boss is vana (becuase of my need for crowns >.< and for the FoV) and i am expierenced with ALL tiers :D

The idea was to invest in stuff that I would never "outgrow," and thus feel like I'd invested essentially in trash.
At 5*, these weapons hurt everything, so I would have a good all-purpose pair of weapons as I learned the game.
Also, the Mercurial Demo Helm / Suit will almost certainly never be "bad" particularly with their coveted movement speed increase.
I wanted to make the Mercurial set before the weapons, and only just now realized that I must craft at machines in the shadow zones, so... I see now that doing stuff as a guild could be necessary for achieving that goal.

4. Previous Clockwork Experience (and a brief explanation):

Snarbolax: Completed as a team, Solo’ed
Roarmulus Twins: Completed as a team, Solo’ed
Royal Jelly: Completed as a team

I originally used a mix of swords and guns, but then I found that melee wasn't really interesting me, so I switched to all guns. I still have all of my sword gear (ash tail, Faust, avenger, etc), so the option is still there. I have everything I need to get my 5* gear except the heat needed. I am relatively new to the game and have been looking around the forums and wiki to decide one the equips I should buy. I still don't quite know what I should switch out or drop so I am open to any suggestions. I'm guessing that at least by level 5 or 6 I'll know what is and isn't working for me.

I found early that dying was both embarrassing and a hindrance to the team as a whole, so I prefer to hang back out of range of mobs while pelting them with bullets. I volunteer to get/carry Keys. I hate slighting anyone in my team and I will try to be the first to revive/help anyone. My lack of experience is simply do to the amount of play time I don't have, which I hope to correct soon.

Well, basically I'm a guy who enjoys DPS, so I went with the Skolver upgrade. I know it would be harder to do FSC runs with the Skolver set, but I believe that I am up to the challenge. I've seen it done, and I hope to be able to it as well.

I'm usually the one in the front of the team that deals most of the damage and survives the longest. Once in awhile I may get caught and die, but very rarely does this happen. I usually almost instantly revive my teammates and hop right back into battle.

My ash tail can keep a bar of life visible while walking over T1 spikes(but i wouldnt want to do).I see full vog cub and grey owlite in my future(good for Vana).My iceburst brandish can freeze anybody with a simple charge.Sneak around and a quick blow in the back is helpful.I will soon have a Glacius.My twisted snarble barb can inflict a pierce attack and do crazy damage to wolvers and other beasts.Soon to be Barborus Thorn blade.

I like to keep my shield up when surrounded. Surviving is my main goal to success. I charge any time i can get an open chance(I do normal attacks as well). When with a group, we work together as a team. My least favorite room is Candlestick Keep. My favorite is Treasure vaults.

I currently do not know anybody from Cloud Nine, but I hope to.

I play a bunch of soccer in real life. I hope to improve and be able to solo some bosses and help other people succeed!

My equipment can deal out alot of damage, and can be used in any part of the clockworks (exept for shadow lairs of coarse.), I am a damage bomber, and a HUGE fan of the "Caliber" family. I also like to use guns and heavy swords at times, when its needed. My average damage would have to be at least 100 each hit, 200 for final strike and 350 each for charge on Leviathan Blade. Faust is mostly used at JK or maybe in the future, IQ. I can take most hits with the shield and some with my armor, I've saved up alot of energy along with my battle pack to fund my armor and equips.

I focus on optimizing everyone's playstyle to cover up any weaknesses in the group and to save energy. I try not to die as much, I get down to low health just to practice endurance! Learning the moves of mobs, the patterns, and how many hits it takes. I am a avid wiki reader, and have already read all the guides on shieldbearing, bombing and swordsmanship. I never give up (unless it takes a crap ton of energy to revive), and I stick to my goals. I may not have the best gear, but I think I have alot of potential to be an elite player one day.

I have no knowledge of any players from Cloud Nine contacting me, but I have seen them in the field many times.

My name is River, I want to be in cloud nine because I want to be part of this great comunitty of a guild. I've seen your recruits, they fight amazingly. I use my Deadly Virulisk and Mercurial loadouts for pretty much anything. I use Mad Bomber when I feel like fooling around with bombs. I use Deadly Virulisk for RJ runs and sometimes Vanaduke. Mercurial is my set of choice for Twins and Vanaduke. Mad Bomber for crowd control with bombs. I prefer using Gun/ Sword. Gran Faust for Jellies and Gremlins. Vile Striker is just a quick way to afflict something with poison. Polaris is used for knockback/shock. Voltedge covers elemental and shock for when enemies get too close. I use bombs for crowd control. Although my armor doesn't cover all schools of damage and resistance, I feel it's just easy to not get hit.
I am currently heating Mighty Cobalt/Ash Tail armors for fun if you see me in those. I also have some 4-star weapons not mentioned above that include, Avenger/ Dark Thorn Blade/ Silent Nightblade/ Cryo Driver/ Mega Magnus/ Silver Six/ Strike Needle/ Spike Shower/ Toxic Atomizer.

I have solo'd all bosses except Vanaduke and have never been to Shadow Lairs. I focus on trying to not get hit over doing damage in most situations. I am competent at most levels in the clockworks, but I have some trouble in dealing with T3 Devilites.

I like to play when I have the time, after classes or work and on weekends. I want to be in Cloud Nine because all my friends and guild mates that used to play do not anymore, and it is terribly boring to play alone. I think I am a friendly and quiet person who is pleasant to be around.

2. My loadout typically includes

Helmet: Skolver or Volcanic Demo (med elemental)
Armor: Skolver (med freeze) or Vog Cub (low normal, low fire, low poison)
Shield: Barbarous Thorn
Swords: Two out of: Glacius, Gran Faust, and Final Flourish, depending on monster weaknesses
Other Weapons: Either a Shivermist Buster (vh ctr) or Argent Peacemaker, occasionally both
Trinket 1: Elite Slash Module (unless in full Skolver)
Trinket 2: Any of several defense or status resistance trinkets, depending on level theme

3. I rely primarily on swords, and try to always deal damage enemies are weak against, allowing me to dispatch foes very quickly. My gun and bomb provide utility and crowd control, respectively, giving me the flexibility to handle most situations reliably and efficiently. I have a fully-heated Ash Tail set waiting to turn into Snarbolax when I finish my first shadow lair, which will give me a full armor set for each damage type. I am gradually expanding my arsenal to ever-greater flexibility, and crafting up loadouts specifically for each shadow lair.

Lord Vanaduke: Team (confident I could solo if I put in the practice, but I'm generally on Shivermist duty, so my team fight experience doesn't naturally transfer to solo)

I have not yet visited the shadow lairs, but I've recently finished crafting and heating a Deadly Virulisk Mask (med poison) and Radiant Silvermail in preparation for the Shadow Gloaming Wildwoods, and I'm itching to try them out.

I prefer to open large fights with some Shivermist for crowd control, then circle behind monsters and start slashing away. When there are enough targets, I try to focus on different enemies from my allies, to avoid messing each other up with knockback; when getting close would be too dangerous for myself or for allies, I support with my no-knockback Argent Peacemaker.

I memorize enemy spawn patterns to the point of killing monsters in a specific order because I know it will result in fewer enemies on-screen at a time, and try to remember enemies that caused problems for me or allies on previous runs so that I can quickly kill or disable them in the future.

5. I don't believe I know anyone in <Cloud Nine>, but I don't always notice guild affiliation, so it's possible I know someone that I didn't notice was in <Cloud Nine>.

6. I play games systematically and analytically. I spend a lot of time thinking about what gear and tactics might be effective in what situations. I have conducted controlled experiments to try to better understand the game mechanics, and helped to analyze some results from others.

I have never spent real money on Spiral Knights. I don't have any problem with people to spend money--I greatly appreciate that they subsidize the game for me--but I like to feel that I've earned my gear.

I've never been in a Spiral Knights guild before, but I'm looking for a guild now largely because attempting a shadow lair with a pick-up group seems like a bad plan; I'd much prefer to schedule in advance with players I can be sure are competent and will work together. It's always difficult to judge from outside, but <Cloud Nine> seems to be at least as organized in this respect as any of the other guilds I've looked at, so I figured I'd try here.
