Any sword outshines Leviathan

Any sword outshines Leviathan if used on the monster that has its weakness. Normal weapons do less damage than specialized weapons. My favorite would have to be Fang of Vog.

Having multiple swords make

Having multiple swords make levi useless. However, having a levi w/ a pure gunner (4 slot) setup is good, as it will cover any close-combat moments.

Im a pure sword and I use a

I'm a pure swordie and I use a Levi when I have low health, as it is as fast as a cutter with full vog set. When I can afford it I want to get Scissor Blades, even though I don't know what they look like and it is a long way off!

Having multiple swords make
Having multiple swords make levi useless.

This is how I feel. It's not a bad sword, but once you get a variety of damage types(Elemental, Shadow, Pierce), there's really not much of a reason to get a normal damage weapon.(In my opinion at least.)

When I can afford it I want to get Scissor Blades, even though I don't know what they look like and it is a long way off!

The auctions do have preview feature for some of the items. :) That way you can see if the thing you want is going to look good or not, before you buy it. :P Besides, if they do run out of blades, they might end up having them again sometime in the future. ;3(*Prays* Please, oh, please let them sell the blades again... T^T)

EDIT: As for my favorite sword....:Faust(Which will become a Gran Faust. <3) I love the fact that it can curse my opposition and the fact that it's a shadow sword for epic damage. =3 The charge attack is pretty awesome too.(Until you get nailed with a 30 - 40 second self-curse....-_-)

Even with the new Arsenal

Even with the new Arsenal Station update, Normal Weapons are still great for the beginning, low-budget Knight who is still making his/her way in this new world. *Cheers*

But yes, if you can afford it, it is very nice to specialize.

you're going to have two weapons, right?

Even a really cheap knight is going to have two weapons, right? By making them different non-normal damage types (e.g. elemental gun with piercing sword), he can deal huge damage to 4/6 of monsters and moderate damage to the other 2/6. In contrast, by making them both normal, he can deal moderate damage to 6/6 of monsters. So even if you own only two weapons, total, there's probably no place for Leviathan.

I hate people who use

I hate people who use leviathan. They're always knocking enemies out of vortecies, or into other players, or making a general nuisance of themselves.

I like all my swords i

I like all my swords i Have

DA <-- it IS the mascot of all OP pros. If you hate it then you just hate the speed.
Silent Night Blade <--Soon to become 5* and OP
All 5* Brandish<-- dont have but they look like modded Levis. Epic
Wild Hunting Blade <-- you have to like it
BTB <-- Another OP
Leviathan <-- no longer main
FoV <--OP at JK and a nice elemental sword if you are too cheap to craft one before fighting Vanaduke 13 times

Scissor Blades <-- Dont have yet but is an epic replacement for Levi

Ones I don't like:
Winmillion <-- Everything else that i listed goes to 5* and overpowers it. Not to mention the Troika even got a 5* because no one used it. Dont use it = it gets buffed (cept cautery since thats just connected to brandish and brandish = 4 5* versions

@Bopp: That is true in many

@Bopp: That is true in many cases. But with the same Arsenal, wouldn't you rather carry a Leviathan blade if you get swarmed by a group of Mecha Kights? Or a Valiance if there's a weakened Gremlin Mender just out of reach?

Different playstyle

@Windsickle : not really, there are tons of different playstyle. Using Leviathan blade for a swarm means you need to charge while surrounded. Not very practical ... Valliance means the Gremlin will dodge. Not very practical either.

To handle those situation, you can, for example : get back in a corner with a DA, and hit everytime a mecha knight come too close. Or well, just proper use a DA against a swarm of mecha will be better than a Levi anyway. Brandish users can kite while charging. Contrary to Levi, this will not throw Mecha at your mates.

As for menders : take a flourish/snarby blade, rush in, kill mender, rush out. Simple. As you cited Valliance, another example would be : take a Callahan and snipe the mender.

Noticed my examples only include non-normal weapons ?

Yes, I understand.

I understand what you mean Fradow, but I what I meant in my above questions were to compare with the Arsenal example that Bopp gave. I put them there to point out how a mixed-special Damage type Loadout is not better than a Normal Damage Loadout in every scenario. As you explain above, some special type Weapons are more useful for this scenario, but are going to have similar difficulties in other situations. Yes, in the long-run you'll generally have four Weapon Slots with more than two Damage types, but again, this is a beginning Knight with low funds still experimenting and learning about the game and what works best for him/her.
