as it is right now, it is really difficult to get information from the developers as this forum lacks a developer post tracking mechanism, or even just simple search by user function. the twitter feed or the game blog isnt really updated that often with useful information either, just mostly fluff.

what i suggest is a weekly/biweekly questionnaire, forum members will collectively choose the most pressing topics/questions they would like answered, and the developers can address those concerns. this idea came from when starcraft 2 was in development, blizzard answers the community's questions weekly. they did this for like a year straight or something, on top of having community managers.

now i realize that spiral knights has a very small team working on the game unlike blizzard, but i find that the best developers often develop their image and fan loyalty through direct interaction with them, case in point, valve. the CEO and lead game designs directly reply to fanmail, often while addressing major concerns.

now i love the charm of this game and i do hope to see it grow, and i would be more than happy if there was a stable and clear communication channel from the players to the developers and vice versa.

Developers read this

I've seen developers posting here a few times, plus a GM or two, so they are reading. I don't think it's reasonable to expect an actual conversation with them. There's a few developers and thousands of players. This game is only 2 weeks old and already suggestions have been implemented, so clearly they read what we suggest.

i don't see how it's not

i don't see how it's not reasonable. answer lets say 10 question each week shouldn't be a burden.

and i know they read what we post, but still its like talking to a tree sometimes.

I know they read stuff but

I know they read stuff but some stuff like a Do not suggest list of suggestions would be helpful. Or a generally accepted suggestions list. So people stop coming up with the same suggestions AND we'd know which ones they like and don't like.

yah, i think it would help

yah, i think it would help the suggestions too by telling the players what kind of suggestions they're looking for. so that there'll be less suggestions that obviously completely upsets the core game design.

HELLO DEVELOPERS, SAY SOMETHING PLEASE

Considering the lack of dev

Considering the lack of dev comments when the game got released to the public compared to the preview event, I can only assume they do read our comments but are too busy working on content for the game itself.

I think some kind of dev tracker for the forums would be very handy to have and seems to be the norm for most mmorpgs now.

i agree fryingfish, i can

i agree fryingfish, i can understand if a developer does not interact with its players much because usually its just patches and fixes, while they work on their next game. but MMO rpg is definitely always a work in progress, its almost always under tweaks, not to mention coming out with new contents. i really don't think this one way communication is enough right now.

Pretty much. I think something like a developer blog would be a good idea. That way, we can answer questions in the aggregate, rather than trying to keep up with every single forum discussion.

Please sir, make a "do not

Please sir, make a "do not suggest list" or a "generally accepted suggestions" list, that would cut down on a lot of your reading >.>

a developer blog would be

a developer blog would be awesome!

if you guys can post when u have time that would be very welcomed. but if we were to focus on the "aggregate" aspect here, i think the forum could be very useful! if we could come up with the top questions we want to ask the developers, say, 10 a week. then they would automatically have the digest of the forum and wouldn't have to spend as much time combing over the posts.
