I am thinking of getting either nova driver, hail driver, or the shock version, just wondering which uv is more useful, ctr or asi, and what is the price range for a med asi/ctr
CTR or ASI for the alchemer lines
ASI doesn't really do too much for alchemers, while CTR is very useful, not to mention ASI is given in 2 of the gunslinger sets.

Yeah CTR is much more useful since you do a lot more damage with the ricochet
I find ASI much more important. The charge attack on the alchemers isn't that great, and you get plenty of ricochets without charging once you're beyond 2* with alchemers. ASI will allow you to do a lot more damage than charge time reduction.
I have ASI medium on my shadow driver and my firo driver and it makes a big difference compared to my Hail Driver which has no UV.
asi med's are around 10-50k buy price
ctr meds are more expensive (like 50k+ buy price?)
I own a nova, an umbra, a magma, and a storm driver each with ASI medium. I find the charge to be situational and I don't use the charge all that often. Also status alchemer's status infliction chance is already high with normal shots. because of that, having ASI would be more advantageous than CTR on status alchemers (especially magma since you want to make everything catch on fire to maximize your dps).

I have a CTR med on my hail driver. Im pretty sure that the Alchemer charge shot is the only one that reliably does damage to bots, even when they are shielding. Plus, shooting the charge into a group is a great way to do HUGE damage to all of them.
Also, the Storm Driver seems to be the best for flat out damage plus status, as i find the Hail Driver doesnt do as much damage, nor does it status as often.
The 4-5* versions can devastate many enemies with a charge attack (usually Gun Puppies, Howlitzers and Zombies) because the ricochets can be trapped inside the enemies and get 4+ consecutive hits. When soloing in T3 I use charges extensively. However any CTR medium gun (or most weapons, really) will be very expensive.
Keep in mind that ASI affects your firing rate and bullet velocity, but not reload speed. Therefore the bonus to DPS is severely limited by the need to reload.
In the end it comes down to personal preference and budget. If you just want to inflict statuses then go for ASI. If you want to 1-hit kill enemies when soloing then go for CTR. Although I have no CTR UVs and have just as much fun with charges.

ASI does not affect bullet velocity on alchemers. does not speed up reload animation. but does speed up the animation at which you bring ur gun down / up after firing or reloading. thus people will see a speed difference even if they empty out their magazine regularly. also, ASI will speed up the charge attack animation (but not charge time)
you can also make the normal shots' ricochets spawn inside the monster to do multiple hits with 1 shot (aim a bit to your right).

DEAD WRONG.
I have an ASI vhigh voltech, and when I fire it next to other peoples' alchemers, my bullets are faster, and I also reload faster. I am not kidding. Normal alchemer bullets are as slow as heck, but my bullets are almost twice as fast. And yes, that is very advantageous.
Also, why don't you get a split asi/ctr uv? I'm sure you can get one with a vhigh/med or med/med if you hunt around. Why compromise?

To add on to my previous post: My total reload time is faster than normal, because I fire my bullets much faster. So, my firing animation is very fast, which allows my gun to cycle at a very impressive rate. I now find that no ASI alchemers are pains to use. Seeing as CTR is terrible for kiting properly, I would just go with ASI. The charge attack is very situational, and you won't regret your choice. I promise <3

check again, bullet speed does not get speed up with asi. but bullet speed increase when u upgrade your gun to a higher *
and go time ur reload animation (NOT including the time taken to bring up/down the gun to reload animation). ASI does not speed that up. this has been known like 2 years ago. (go check the ask a master gunslinger thread)
