So I know that there have been many threads regarding this issue but I'm going to talk about it anyways. As many of you may know (particularly people who run FSC a lot), zombies have a nasty habit of jumping at your knight and then freezing them into place, unable to shield, attack, or move. It gets kinda frustrating, especially wearing full Vog (no shadow defense = half your health gone in one swipe). So I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about whether or not this bug is going to get fixed soon or not, or if maybe I could get an admin reply to this.
Zombie Jump Attack Glitch
I think what this guy is talking about is when you get jumped on, someone else (or you via indirect attack) kills the zombie, but your knight is still unresponsive to other controls. Then another zombie comes up and takes a nice claw at you that you didn't deserve. Maybe?
agreed. Even when i hit the zombie right quick after it hitting me for a quick moment, and its nomming a few steps away in thin air, im still immobile. That is a definite glitch.
Well the leap and glomp isn't a glitch, but there are some bugs with it. Like pushing the zombie away, or knocking it off and still being pinned, and in other cases where the pin attack will happen even if they didn't land on you or after they're done doing it. It's worse being frozen by the attack with no actual zombie on you to remove. Sometimes they'll even not land the attack, but gain their increased attack speed from doing the biting on your head, but have it as very rapid slash attacks instead.
that is what im saying. I know the attack is not a glitch, its intentional.
But the fact that it stays even if they were pushed away, is glitched, and has been for a while. Something also needs to be done about the DA charge attack. If against a wall after releasing the attack, the 3 charges wont go forward. They disappear.
That needs to be fixed.
YES! Tom-Awsm agrees!
This glitch alone makes zombies the most annoying (no, I don't mean hardest) mob in the game, which is sad seeing as there are so many of them in the most played boss stratum.
Zombie Face Rip has always been messed up. It's impossible to know if you're actually going to get hurt from it. Sometimes it's right on you, can still move, still shield, no dmg or 3 feet away from you, can't move, dmgs but can shield it OR the great, right on you, can't move, can't shield, can't do anything, getting your brains ripped out 1 hit K.O.
I say leave it. Adds some excitement of the unknown.
I think the zombie-gnaw is glitched out in about 15 different ways. I've seen leap and gnaw onto my shield, and get bumped away to just gnaw thin air while I'm able to continue on my way. I've seen them jump next to me, and suddenly I'm unable to move or shield, yet the zombie is just in a normal swipe-attack mode. I've had them jump on me while I'm next to a forcefield and end up immobile while they're gnawing on my head, but take no damage from it since they're on the other side.
In fact, I'm pretty sure that the only thing I haven't seen is the attack actually work properly.
Thing is, when they do catch you like that, you should be facing them, so that you hit them before they bite you. Otherwise, you pretty much have to take it in the @#$ unless you have an ally with you.
fsc already feels much easier than most other t3 areas, because u can practice it by re-running again and again. ive rarely had any issues with that particular attack and even tho the attack can bug out as described above, i really dont wana support making fsc any less painful after the zombie nerf
in my opinion, if u wana start fixing bugs, start with the major ones, for instance when stunning mobs/players while theyre executing their attack makes them go frenzy on u with haxor attack speed
Thats happened to me a few times, and I always thought it was my keyboard that was busted
Just remove the "special grab attack" from zombie jumps already, if you don't have time to fix it! It's awful how obvious and frequently occurring bugs like that can survive this long. Sometimes even walking on by a zombie shortly AFTER he jumped triggers the bug and you can't but stand there helplessly.
Not a bug... they are just holding you down and nomming your head, hence not being able to move or shield. Don't let them jump on you and they can't hold you down.
It would be nice though if the knights had a "struggling" animation so you knew your client was still responding.
