I personnally feel about minecraft is that is a very good game, even better with mods!
has anyone played minecraft?!?
Its bad because
You can only do basic things
Animations are lame
No point of the game
Is for idiots
Is made by an idiot
Pixelated
Bad 3D
Stoopid
Lololol
O man, I've played Minecraft since InDev. Back when you could decide whether you wanted your map long or deep...
here is what I think about that stuff Doom-Xx
is brewing a something a thing every day in real life? is drinking potions basic? IS BLOWING STUFF UP BASIC!?!?! IS KILLING A BOSS BASIC!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
there is a better animation mod you ccan try.
the point of this game is to build all lot and let your mind go to work on being creative for building.
your saying OVER 7,000,000 PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS!?!?!
Notch is NOT a idiot.
people can make their games pixelated if they want to, that doesn't mean the game is bad. get a HD-texture pack.
I don't see how the 3D is bad.
Minecraft is one of the most popular games EVER.
I disagree with all of that, plus I play Minecraft. am I a idiot?
Here's my first minecraft let's play, a special modded series. Will probably last as long until the next minecraft update comes. I also have some old The Binding of Isaac let's plays in the Old Let's Play playlist in my channel.
Episode 1:

@Doom: Your jelly just cause Notch is more successful than you.
To counter everything you said:
Basic and stupid? How is the game basic? Don't knock til you try it. You have things as complex as running an ACTUAL WORKING COMPUTER MADE IN MINECRAFT, to resource farming.
Animations are subtle, but the charm is where it is. No point in flashy shiny animations.
How can +6 mil players be idiots? Don't get me started on the celebrities that play this.
Notch is not an idiot. He's very smart and kind. How can he be an idiot if he's more successful than say...little old you? He's also not greedy, having given away his company's earnings to his own staff.
Pixated and bad 3D? Minecraft is a throwback to better times, where gameplay was more valuable than graphics. Again, there's charm and also nostalgia to it.
Well, actually, drinking potions is basic. And potions were made in real life
I've tried it, it stunk just like I said, I'll also bet it was one of the easiest games to make, and I bet anyone can make a clone of minecraft
PS Spiral knights vs minecraft
SK has better graphics
SK has better stuff
SK Was made by a better company
Minecrft is slightly more popular
SK has a storyline, minecraft doesn't
SK has missions
SK has better things you can buy with money
SK IS AWESOME
SK is harder (which is better)
SK has game masters!
SK has bosses
SK has better monsters
SK has better crafting
Lol, can't believe the main monster of minecraft is suicidal
But hey at least minecraft is 6735473468363863826382683528532853286382378372832232323233347x better than justin booger
Everybody is merited to their own opinions and what they like, but you can't deny that it's a successful game. Definitely don't deny it's all hype either though, given all the sources claiming how great the game is. Such as Kotaku, IGN, PC Gamer, Wired, and even the controversial stuff such as the silly lawsuits against Mojang.
Now that I think about it, something it and games such as Super Meat Boy, Limbo, Braid etc all share something with each other:
Not sure how I'll put this into words, but I'll try.
It MIGHT be the concept of success (and it merely and how such games are successful, purely...well, are successful) but I think it has more to do with what makes a good game good, like how what makes a well done steak tasty. Not what is at first sight, but what is that is more to it ... I know there's an idiom like that.
Notch (Minecraft), Edmund McMillen (SMB, along with Gish and The Binding of Isaac), Arnt Jensen (Limbo), Jonathan Blow (Braid) all share something in common. While you can claim the games their known for made them successful because they got spotlighted at the game's release, and it just grew from there for each them like a soda over-reacting with a mento. I actually think it's because they've worked on previous projects, often small mini-game or "short story" like games. Previous experiences make them learn, especially from their own mistakes.
So, does success come from experience, and not biting off more than you can chew? I definitely think so, like how a painter gets better with each painting he does.
butter, butter, your staircase needs more butter, butter, butter, you need more butter, butter, your pathway needs more butter, butter, butter, your pool needs more butter
guess which youtube user that does minecraft that this is a refrence 2
You should think it should better? Don't want for the developers to make the game better. You should check out the game's huge mod community.
all they want to do is make the game butter (please guess)
It's skydoesminecraft! Love me some of that butter. He's a cool, funny guy.
Tis too awesome. And also it isn't stupid. Minecraft is a game where you show off your creativity and your knowledge. Minecraft also was the game that told me that Diamonds are worth more than gold (true story). Also Minecraft is in a way good for teaching as well. If you think about it minecraft teaches you reasource management, conservativeness, love for the environment, geometry lessons (XD Ikr) and many more.
It also teaches how to survive.
Minecraft is also a manly game
"Oh I just spawned in here what should I do first?" *decides to punch a tree until it falls down.
"Oh I've got no proper food". *decides to eat raw pork.
"I should make a house" *builds castle singlehandedly
"Oh no I'm on fire" *deals with it
"There ate so many creepers" *decides to beast the blasts
"Oh look. A very creepy black (no racism intended) guy in front of me who teleports". *dosen't care and decides to kill it.
"Oh look there's this portal which leads me to a dragon fight and I can't return unless I die or kill the dragon" *goes in it anyways
"Oh look I need a ladder". *brings 64 of them.
I don't really like minecraft... It feels kinda spooky if you ask me...
But I play terraria! So much better.
And, it's extremely basic, like I said
It's overrated
Yu do NOT understand the complexity of minecraft. Think you forgot about REDSTONE!
Minecraft is totally wrong. Diamond is hardest thing on earth, not bedrock or redstone or anything
Redstone is for nubs
Personally, I don't play minecraft, but it seems like a fun game.
@Doom
Dude. Wtf. Did u actually call everyone who plays Minecraft an idiot? Minecraft is a GAME, not everything is perfect, so keep your comments to yourself, if you're only going to insult everyone who enjoys it. No one asked YOU to play it.
Make my games realistic and I'll kill you all. What a disgusting thing to want.
In all seerus though, I like Minecraft, I spend most of my time on creative building mini fortresses and what not. Just a bit of a pass time for me though, if I ever decide to get on a server though I'd prolly play it more.
That being said back when I got it, December 2010 just after the Beta release, I played it almost everyday... Then I got back into SK.
