It's everyone's least favorite underdog, the Wild Hunting Blade. I've heard from a few people now that the WHB used to be THE sword to have, before OOO nerfed it. Can anyone explain how they nerfed it? (To some degree of accuracy, please don't just say "they lowered its attack")
What made the WHB so desirable before but so unattractive now? Thanks in advance for any replies.
What was the Wild Hunting Blade like pre-nerf?
Well, maybe it wasn't exactly on par with the DA, but I've heard that it used to be alot better than it is now.
its not good at all now and that wolver noise when you attack with it....FUUUUUUUUUU
I know it's lame now, but apparently back when SK was first released, it was alot better. Does anyone remember what it was like back then?
In my time playing since April, WHB has never been "the sword to have". I'm also not aware of its being weakened since April, and I read every release note in detail (although I might have missed something).
Huh. I was sure I heard somewhere that they nerfed it...
EDIT: The nerf is briefly mentioned in this thread: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/1475
Looks like it was nerfed soon after SK went public.
Yeah, those posts are from February, whereas Spiral Knights officially launched in April. The weakening of WHB was apparently pre-release fine tuning. It seems that they over-corrected.
No
The "nerf" was actually a buff on how poison works.
The introduction of pierce swords could also be considered a "nerf" to the WHB
so basically everything got better and it got left behind
How did they change the poison element Trying?
I think it's this one

edit: the WHB did get nerfed but it only changed the damage vs beast from ultra to high
I have never, ever, ever, heard someone say that WHB used to be THE sword to have.
