Hello,I turned on my PC,and run SK game..and guess what?
Steam login shows an ERROR:
We experienced an problem with authenticating via Steam.Please ensure that Steam Client is running and that you are not logged in elsewhere.
1)Steam is running.
2)Maybe my account is hacked,but I dont think so because steam has rough security..?
3)How to fix it?
Recently I sawd some topic on this how to bypass steam login..I dont remember where is it,so anyone can help me?

You can mash the login button and if you're lucky you might be able to login.
Well, there's a way to run Spiral Knights when Steam's down. Simply do the following:
1- Exit Steam
2- Log in the Spiral Knights forums
3- Install Spiral Knights' standalone launcher from here: http://www.spiralknights.com/play.xhtml
4- After the game has launched, click the button to login with Facebook
4.5- If you didn't log in the Spiral Knights forums it will take you to the login page, choose to login with Steam
5- You should now successfully be logged in Spiral Knights
I already knew that. I made a post about it last time this happened.
Be warned, the Energy Depot will freeze your game if you use it while logged on in this manner.
I just wish they'd fix it so I WOULDN'T have to do that. :/
fudge, well I couldn't log in either so I came here to see if anyone else had the same problem, obviously I got my answer, wish I had noticed the announcement about the down time before it happened.
Also cases like this are another reason I think we need a "mist bank" true, this time I didn't know it was going happen so couldn't have done much anyways but still could help more often then not.

i curious what about me who buyed elevator pass and i cant login... days are going without game... ;(
But I'm using someone elses right now so i went to logon with steam via the facebook thing an i come back to the game an it says this account has been converted to a steam account when I already have a Steam account. Even though i did convert one of my other ones to my steam as well but it want me to click login with steam when its not on this computer an when they don't want steam on there computer an all so all it shows is logon as guest. Help?
Is it down again? Because i'm getting this damn exact message, Steam Friends are working for me, restarted Steam few times already. We really need an unmerging feature as this is getting ridiculous.

I first want to precise that im french, and i need to come here because of the inactivity of the french forum. So don't care about the mistakes i ll make.
For my part i have still this problem, and i have searched for 3 or 4 monthes a way to solve this issue, but i failed. I m still looking for it, it 's why im going on english forums, which is quite hard for me ( :/)
My problem is similar as yours : i can log on on SK on my account, i can select my character, but when he is "going town" SK blocks and gives me a black screen. I can go on 'escap' menu but that's all.

PS : i tried the way which consists in login on via steam without steam on, but it does the same .... :/
i think it' s a problem of open port of my internet connexion, i opened the 2 ports the wiki gave me, but i think i need another one ... which one ? ^^
I opens Spiral Knight through Steam on my iMac and when i get to the Spiral Knight login screen there no option, to log in through Steam. when i type in my account number that SpiralKnight.com gave me and my Steam password the game crashes. Logging in is fine on my Windows7 Steam and Macbook Pro Steam :/ can someone help?

same here: i played for about 30minutes, anything was ok, then i joined a new party, there i can't move around, only talk and view menu... So, i restarted the game and got this "We experienced an problem with authenticating via Steam."-error. Restarting Steam doesn't help.
