Yes +1! there is actually a lot of people who followed the entire elder scrolls that say out of those recent 3, Morrowind is best.

On that note I will be playing morrowind probably until I see these awesome updates for SK :)

ill go full conspirator right now...

For year of the Dragon: i have a theory (as said earlier):
First, Arcane Salamander really is the new boss...
Its Shadow lair set is made with Maiden's tear, so i will assume it Tier3
also, from its designs it could prolly deal Shadow damage. (and a wild guess: its weak to Shadow as well)

For the Missions: As it involves Gremlins...
The Heavenly Iron set also from Shadow lairs correspond to this one...
Gremlins have developed a machination they consider holy.
If there really is a boss, its battle system requires us to shock it in its boss lair environment, hence the Heavenly Iron set shock weakness...

May i remind people that i really am merely guessing, as i used the term: theory
but it does get ya thinking more

Will the plot expand more on the Almirian knight named Tori?

How about creating a new class of monster called Wyverns?

Would be nice to make Ancient Plate set do something useful. (Same goes to Almirian set.)

And as Gwen said, Shadow bomb will be nice. However, please don't make it too strong because this would make AoA and VT bombers on Slimes pretty uneasy. >.>

YES to all of these. I can't wait for the item balancing, and the missions system sounds like a lot of fun--hopefully it won't be 'kill 50 kats' or something, 'cause with the way the levels rotate and stuff, it might be really hard to do that kind of thing (or a T3 player will be forced to do a bunch of T1 levels, which would be bleh as well).

a lurker emerges...

This mission thing sounds great, but please don't tie it all to the Shadow Lairs! Those things are just to expensive. Also, please don't turn this Crimson Order thingy into another laggy Ironclaw Munitions factory...

Balance changes! Yay! Please give us gunners lots of love- The Shadowsun set needs some work, as it currently STINKS next to any swordie armour/helmet at 5*. The Deadshot Chapeau needs a new look- I saw a thread somewhere with a great idea involving a skull design on the front. The changes for the Antigua lines look awesome, but if you're going to that please look at making a full piercing one... I do love a good set. The Iron Slug needs help, and while the Sudaruska has it's uses now, it's not really near being on par with many of the other 5* swords...

TL; DR Please fix all us gunner's equipment!

Suggestions

I'd suggest changes along these lines:

1. Antigua Line
- could make 3 paths, one piercing, one elemental, one shadow
- the charge attack could be changed (to leave you less vulnerable) to be faster but just have the energy bird (or a spray of bullets for the pure piercing line)

2. Troika Line (to make this line on par with other 5 star swords)
- the second swing would FIRST knock back enemies and THEN if there is a status effect it would occur after the knockback. also, the status (stun or freeze) needs to have a much higher rate of occurring than the current rate on the second swing
- either make the charge attack charge time a period of invulnerability, increase the attack speed, or change the animation so it doesn't leave you so vulnerable that no one uses it

3. Flourish Line
- heavily increase the chance of stun or fire for the rigadoon and flamberge to make them worthwhile

4. Wrench Wand Line
- if it's used by gremlins for the healing effect, knights should be able to use it too! at the 5 star level the charge attack could simply be a healing blast radius that you could use on yourself or party members (to keep it from being too overused there could be additional limits or rules such as anyone, including monsters in the radius would be healed, or the charge time would be very long, or each time it would only heal a very small amount, or it would use up a vial slot to activate the healing, or it can only be used a certain number of times per level or something)

4. Usable Kits (just like you can pick up and use a mecha knight kit)
- there is so much talk about owlites that they could play an active role too. it might be fun to pick up an owlite kit that summons an owlite that randomly flies around healing people in your party for a limited time, just like a silkwing or mender for enemies.
- there could also be a kit that when activated, plants a gun-puppy like turret that will shoot projectiles at enemies that come near. would be very fun and useful to put in the center of an arena and such.

Bombs? Bombs are the most

Bombs?
Bombs are the most overall balanced weaponset in the game right now; let them focus on balancing swords and guns before a perfectly fine selection.
Shadow?
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/40480
Elemental?
Get an RSS. Constructs? Use your utility sword, or electron vortex (refer to above link).
No need for new bombs. Get over it.

Guns?
Astraeis idea is good, just letting the guns split into three paths.
Altough I still think that making them "pure" special would be too OP, stick with normal/special like eveyrthing else so they don't become too imba.
Obviously the sets need balanced
*HOWEVER*
I feel that the gun sets don't need buffed as much (maybe drop some of the unneccesarry negatives), I think that swords just need nerfed to balance it. Guns are solid the way they are, they only feel redundant because swordies get bonuses absolutely thrown at them, which tehy don't need. Nerf the OP swordy sets and they'll still be absolutely fine, whilst also allowing the gunners to feel more useful, w/o the need to OP them as well.

Also, if the Deadshot gear gets changed from the current thing, I think they should all be unbound, becasue current players who use them for the Undead bonus will be heartbroken if they suddenly get switched to a gun bonus that they can never use, and gunners will need the suits since none of them actually use deadshot gear.

Swords?
Troika's need fixed. Status effects *after* the KB, like astrae said. Animations and/or damage upped in general to compensate for the fact that with arsenal stations, "normal only" weapons don't serve enough purpose anymore.
Status flourishes need to have their chances increased, and all flourishes need to remove that "hit beyond graphical range" issue.

Missions...

Will they be randomized or completely campaign-based? I would be interested if there was some degree of both, so that you would regularly receive new missions that asked you to do odd new things. It'd be sad if you basically played through the campaign once and then you were "done."

Mission System: Alright!

Mission System: Alright! Something that less-than-hardcore-players can do once we ran JK countless times and are slowly accumulating Almirian Seals

Year of the Dragon Ok, sounds intriguing, will we be allowed to purchase elevator passes by themselves again? I hope there isn't too much crossover w/ Skyrim, I would hate to see SK become the next TF2

Item Balance BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! :') That's a good one. Too be fair, I thought that the brandish line really needed something to set it apart from the cali line, you guys really delievered with that last update. There are so many weapons/armor that are lost in the abyss, then, there are items that are popular, but are worthless (Troll/n00b weapons). Then there are items that their 4* and 5* versions are practically the same. :-P If there is any balancing done, I would love to see more dramatic improvements, not just fudging of numbers.

@Astraeis All of your

@Astraeis
All of your suggestions are good so far, except the Rigadoon/Flamberge one. Mainly the Rigadoon. The ability to stun thatas frequently as a Callahan on a fast sword would guarantee death to the stunned victim in LD. Having the status effect on a normal hit is already a plus; making stun have any higher a chance of stunning would be far too overpowered, especially seeing how simple hitting someone with a flourish is.

One thing at a time...

To be fair, the adjustment to the start level weapons first kinda makes sense since it promotes better newb play. And in some respect, the explosion match well with the fact that the proto sword and other starter weapons have internal, working mechanisms in them, and not just a simple, metallic blade. Although the the super slime slash and beast basher are a bit strange to make an explosion, but it being able to at least make an explosion with a swing helps to encourage newbies to play.

And in some manner, I think what them doing this kind of balance next is appropriate, balancing weapons in appropriate steps, seeing what happens, and then moving on.

if you change something on armor then fine as long as its an additive in defense / resistance or variant in general

if you start taking specifics from an item then its unfair to any players in the game that acquired that item
