im new to the game. i currently have teir 2 equips. i need help getting money while keeping up with my energy count by buying energy. also, i don't know what swords/guns are the best to get. i like to have a sword and gun at hand. i mainly use swords, but swap over to gun when i have low hp to play it safe and keep my distance. I need suggestions on what to do with my crowns. Thank you!

Maintaining Energy
I usually find I can make an excellent profit on JK (Jelly King, or Royal Jelly as the official name is according to ) runs, enough to sustain energy output and then some on the side.
Also, with regards to equipment, what the other dudes said. I'll provide a link to the appropriate page so you can evaluate the various equipment types for yourself. You may wish to take a look at the section called 'Bombing Guide' as well - I know you didn't mention them, but there are situations in which a bomb will prove considerably more useful than a different weapon. In addition to this, the wiki has information on more or less everything in the game (although the info on some particular levels is not very helpful, or specific). I strongly advise you look at the various crafting possibilities that result from the equipment you purchase, and their potential usefulness at 5* (since I didn't at first, and ended up losing quite a bit of cash).

You man buying energy with crowns, right? Running the depths after clockwork terminal is the most profitable option. Arenas in those areas have good payout, as does boss stratums. Tier two bosses are roarmulous twins and the jelly king found in royal jelly palace.
Actually, i'm not sure if rt is profitable. I ran it 4 times for the tokens to get pulsar and never went back. Running RJP for your mist is a good profitable way. And with the double arena before it, its good enough to run on ce. As long as you can get a jump to basil or the first RJP floor, you can run on ce and make a profit.
