I think that OOO handled this
I think that OOO handled this promo very well. The costumes look great and aren't out of place (like a giant cartoony sonic head or something), the game bundle is very affordable, the CE bundle comes unbound, and you can buy it from boost (again unbound) without spending a single cent of real-world cash if you happen to be CE rich.
My only sadness is that the sonic costume doesn't grand a movement speed bonus. ;_;

Especially the last bit. I cannae help but feel too slow whenever I move now, just knowing that I have a sonic hat on D:
But yeah, am pleased actually that they decided to keep the set looking very stylised towards SK; they never sacrificed their art teams style and game appearance to have a ridiculous stand-out costume, they really made a good effort to keep it fitting in very well, including the description.

@Shidara If you include value the tails tails at 3200ce then the $10 tails tails pack nets you 670ce/$ whereas the $50 pack gets you 400ce/$. If you only look at the remaining CE after getting the tails tails then the $10 tails tails pack gives 350ce/$ and the $50 pack gives you 336ce/$.
Of course, while the promo is on you should be able to find people selling the tails tails for less than 3200ce.
I wouldn't mind seeing a movement speed increase trinket show up in the weapon mod crafting machine...

Sonic seems more like a Swords... "Swordshedgehog" than a bomber though. I'm thinking Mercurial Set instead. Maybe with some Piercing Weapons since he's a hedgehog. Then again, if this is Metal Sonic we're discussing, well, it's something else.

Anyone else not particularly in love with this set? The helm's okay, but the armour is kind of boring and the tails are just creepy. They keep waving at me and lkajsdf ;-;
Also the tails don't match much of anything. Wolver coat is okay, but the white tip doesn't look right, and with gold tabard, the yellow's a bit off.

My only Concern...
Are the Ears from the Metal Sonic Helm. I dun like them. I want them to look a bit more different, other than the Color.

Is the set from the Sonic CD auto-bound? I bought it for resale (I'm a mainly F2P player willing to go P2P depending on that Dragon update, and I wanted some spare CE just in case), and it appears bound to my character. Was this intended?

Yes, its supposed to be bound upon arrival, re-read first 20 replies, especially second Nick's post.
I also bought it specifically for re-sale (in hopes of some fast big buck for small $$) but found out all I did was throw away $5. It did get me a FREE costume, so I won't miss that Lincoln much.
Waiting for another promo? Wait till monday-tuesday (Chinese calendar new year) or 31st of Jan. I'd say wait till 1st of Feb, after the current CE offer ends, it would be weird to have several separate CE promotions going at the same time.

The Tails Tail looks nice with the Skolver Coat (plus a regal canteen). The costume is very nice (wakes memories up!), but only as a set, not the pieces separated.

You missed your chance.
Once Grey Havens took over and SEGA detached from Spiral Knights, these offers and whatnot eventually became obsolete. This was stated by a GM during one of the big feedback threads about the conversion from Three Rings to Grey Havens.
If you only bought Sonic CD for the offer, it's rather unfortunate that you were uninformed.
Do know, however, that all of the Sonic items available in Spiral Knights (Helm, Armor, Tails Tail) can still go into circulation through Featured Auctions, should you catch them. Of course, they might be expensive...
This saved me the hassle of getting a Regal Wolver Tail
