okay, LD waiting times are ridiculous.

a minimum of 16 in queue, up to 27 when games let out.
Why is it I was delayed 8 times, then ragequit? A max of 12 can play LD at a time in a match, so why is the minimum waiting players amount over 12?
There should be a max of 7 waiting. Period. As soon as an 8 comes in, 500 point game starts. Done.

Go play on the NA server, i've had a really hard time to even getting a single match in EU T3 when i was farming my coins.

Simply put, the "players waiting" includes players from both EU and US servers, so it waits until you have a full player queue in your server alone before you get a game. If you go too long waiting for a game, switch to the other server, based on the time of day, however this typically results in some latency durin' the match.

oho...
well, that's stupid. the servers don't interact, so why inform us of what's going on there? I'm NA, btw.

Made a suggestion to solve this problem here: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/39574

Tengu are you playing on an EU server? Right now both pools are combined and if there isn't actually enough EU folks waiting it will look as though you're being passed up when it's actually just collecting EU folks.
We are working on a way to make this more clear to all players. It's on the list!

T3 EU LD usually has matches going on daily between 15:00-20:00 GMT. During these times, I almost never get a delay once sign up to play. Other odd times, I don't know because I'm either working, or sleeping.

Well the servers do interact in the general sense; the PvP games are the only ones that don't, they obv just havenae done anything to visibly split the queues listed yet.

@Nick lockdown rooms like in PSO/PSU, come on man all of my money just do it

LD waiting times are ridiculous? Try to find a match for BN. Compared to that, LD waiting time are only 5 seconds.
Although it's prolly because no one plays BN anymore... :(

@Nick I hope splitting out the T1/2/3 counts is part of that list entry too!

Well, I did tried again just a bit ago...
T1 wait = 12 delays. Average of 60 people playing.
T3 wait = 8 delays. Average of 70 people playing.
I'm on the north america server, so you'd think I'd just hop right in...
Thanks for the response Nick. It seems that PvP has been a goal for the designers, and when it works it works very well. I didn't think I'd like it, but...well, ASI vs. Latency notwithstanding....it's really honestly fun. I can join in the chorus of balancing speed and latency issues, but I'm not gonna. I just wanna play and get my recipes.
@Lordofnecromancers BN is the basket-brother from the movie Basket Case, or to a lesser extent, Danny DeVito from Twins. Let BN slip from consciousness and sign a DNR. Maybe they'll bring back Battle Royale, complete with Tortodrones, or Vog Cubs, or..what..Sloombargoes...OH the Jolly Green Jelly...any of those, really. Different scenarios with different horrific ubermonsters that you have to avoid while still flaying your opponents alive.

That's good to hear, Nick. At least that was my initial reaction, rereading your post makes me less sure (how long has the core been "on the list"?). Anyway, it's still another sign you're reading suggestions, hopefully this isn't too complicated and time-consuming of a thing to do so it can be added fast.

@Tomsm (I'm calling you that now. It's a good portmanteau, and my - button doesn't work.)
I think we shouldn't hold our breaths on the core. Why? End of the game. The journey so far is still in progress, no matter how many times we hit 29. If the core opens, that's pretty much it. Unless there's going to be ANOTHER core inside the core, like some sort of Russian doll..only the center isn't filled with chocolate. Or borscht...what's in the middle of a Russian nesting doll set?
anyway, we all we all know what'll happen when the core opens anyway.

Awesome! Maybe just show the number of people waiting for T1/2/3 on your current server? Since joining a distant server is a pretty significant disadvantage (hope you guys are able to start up some Southeast Asia servers, the folks in Oceania and down under would really appreciate that).
Because the waiting line encompasses all three tiers? Just a guess.
But the system seems to favour one large group, as opposed to multiple small games. Evident by the T1 LD that gets more than 4 people on a team when people are actually playing it.
