Oh and by the way... YOU BETTER ADD THIS into the gremlin mission okay? :D
Mission System Preview
"Oh and by the way... YOU BETTER ADD THIS into the gremlin mission okay? :D"
Sounds like something from WC2 (at least to me). I agree with you though, it is pretty epic.
Wonderful teaser, I must say that I'm anticipating missions even more than I already was.
It would be great if you got to fight monsters pre-nerf as you reach the higher-ranked missions. Things like:
Retrodes that attack when spawning (and have little telegraph time and a huge AoE)
Gremlins that dodge repeatedly (and spin-attack without notice)
Menders that thwack
Alphas/Retrodes/Zombies with insane reach that can change direction while attacking
Phantoms that incite fear
Greedy Kleptolisks
etc.
I'd really love to fight these monsters again with their somewhat unfair advantages, such things add to the challenge of the game.
I admit that SK is one of the best games because of its wonderful storyline other than its gameplay. Now, I wanted to personally ask Nick about something:
When SK is created, do the devs already had a complete storyline for the whole game in the beginning, or they have a main idea, then work on them gradually through updates and add additional stories?
Just wanted to know if SK has lots more to come, and if it has hidden mysteries and surprises.
Well, i love surprises :)
SURPRISE!!!!!!! *Throws a pie at Snowdusk*

Hey nick when does mission system come out? I don't like the suspense >.<... Or at least say when you will allow players to test it on the testing server. I am hoping the mission system comes out within the next week or two. If my guess is way off, please tell me :D
I wouldl like to see some missions related with the origin of Scarlet Fortress. Who (or eventually "what?") created it and why? Who lived there? Did undead come there or they were there from the beginning? I really like SF and I want to learn more about this place.
@Playerman +1 this theme is too great to be unused
@Maeko and Cactuscat
The pink pith set is actually the old graphics of the jelly set :3 Jelly was just proto that was recolored pink
This is what I have been told at least, not a primary source of infos.
Anyway, I am hoping there's new musics
This is the only thing i am looking for in my entertainment life right now. Hope this comes out before March XP
@The-Rawrcake:
As I've told someone before - I know that. :P I wore the Pink Pith/Old Jelly set for the entirety of the last preview event, for many months. I miss it so. :(
waiting for it to go live :D so i can finaly play again (sorry it's a great game but i got bored with running clockwork for no reason except for maybe some good recipes to sell or some 5* mats)
but when this will hit SK i'm 110% sure i'm going to get me a new elevator pass :D
thx for the update nick and realy nice work SK team (don't let the haters bother you hehe)
Will the supply depot have recipes/actual gear which are new (ie. will new items be introduced as well as old items to the supply depot)?
So this is still rather unclear. Vague. Nefarious.
I guess where the clarification needs to be in some sort of understanding how the cost of supply depot weapons (in CE) will compare to the cost of crafting and unbinding 5* Gear now.
Is it going to be a premium price (in CE) for skipping the leveling process (just as you pay more to buy a 3* gear for crowns now, than if you were to make and level your own)?
Or is this goign to suddenly be much cheaper and cost effective means of generating 4-5* Gear. So are people with more free time than others going to be able to grind out the mission system, rank up super quick, and flood the market with super cheap 5* gear?
I, for one, hope that if it allows you to buy pre-fabbed 5* gear, that it makes you do so at a premium. Since it takes about 6-6.5k ce to craft up a 5* gear and unbind (including rare mats, energy costs, and crowns) hopefully this rank option will be 7-8k ce at least. Since it skips recipes, mats, leveling, and just about everything else involved in creating gear. And also, the first post intimated this was meant to live in a world where goods are bought and sold in the AH, so it'd be nice to think it was meant to integrate into that world, and not completely crush it.
oh well, i guess everything becomes the new normal sooner or later. I just hope this isn't one of those game changers that drastically shifts the balance of the game, undermines the economy and generally throws the game into a tail-spin, resulting in a new normal that is more cynical and less enjoyable than the current normal.
--nothing to do now buy hide and watch :/
Unless, nick, you'd like to share with us ahead of time what we are in for when it comes the Supply depot crafting costs (in CE) vs the total augmented costs of crafting 5* gear now. Also, how do UVs work into this supply depot model? i'm assuming if you buy a 5* gear it'll come clean of UVs, and then you can take ur new treasure to the UV rolling station? at least hoping so. Hoping there is no way to spend extra CE to get what UV you want.
I've seen the new things, I've seen the new things!
What they are, I will not tell, but I will confirm that the Gremlins are getting rather aggressive!
That's all I'M saying my lovelies!
You mean you've seen the scenario rooms? I have too.
