For anyone who lives in or near the San Francisco area: Spiral Knights and Ian (aka Cherub), the game's art lead, will both be present at Anime on Display this weekend, which takes place in the city this Saturday and Sunday!

It's held in Japantown, San Francisco, and for those who might be interested in the Spiral-themed moments, the schedule includes:

Saturday, 1 PM: Three Panel Soul (er, panel) with Ian.

Sunday, Noon: Spiral Knights presentation on the main stage with Ian.

I'll be swinging by with a friend to listen in and take some pics where possible - anyone else think they'll be able to make it out for the weekend? If there's enough of us, we might be able to have an unofficial SK-community meet-up at some point during the weekend. If it looks possible, I'll see if I can sponsor with some crepes from Belly Good!

I haven't had Belly Good in a long while... Sophie's is my go-to since I gravitate towards the Kinokuniya and the okonomiyaki restaurant in that area.

Added extraneous info for those questioning the veracity of my claim: Martial arts school part of a family and style that was founded by Chuck Norris, if that says anything. And the owner had real credentials in said style including multiple trophies and plaques. Oh, and I shook hands with Chuck at one of their annual conventions, too /brag.

@Treizeknight: Usually conventions don't charge an extra fee for their guest panels. This is especially true of AOD and Fanime, which is also in the bay area, where everything is included under the badge price.

Poking my head in;

Might as well give a heads up of what to expect should any of you make it to the panel. It's just going to be me and a laptop.
I intend on focusing on the art and its advancements for Spiral Knights, given that's my main responsibility on the project.

I hope to keep it simple and casual; Dig out some old concept art and gets some really up close looks at how Spiral Knights came to have it's current look.

At least, that's the intent.

The panel today was pretty cool. Will admit I wasn't as familiar with Three Panel Soul as some of the others, but hearing the history of it and seeing the the progression was neat.

Ian's "Cthulhu Crossing" game is also just as awesome as it sounds. Hope it gets finished someday!
