So i worked hard soloing jelly king to get an antigua, then i lvled it into my silver six. Now i really hate this weapon. maybe its a glitch or maybe ive misunderstood this weapon, but being as its piercing and elemental, shouldnt it so at least blue damage to both parties? AKA effective vs beast AND construct? This was my understanding, but now its ineffective vs everything that would normally be effective against. I hit beast for low grey number, so with construct. So if these damage types dont apply, then what IS it good against? Ive yet to see this gun do even blue normal damage numbers... Please help me out.
Silver6 question, this gun now annoys me..
What you seem to be confused on is that you believe monsters to resist the same amount of damage as they take from a weakness. In this game, not true. Monsters resist more damage than they take from a weakness.
As for colors, those are bugged. Don't rely on them for an accurate representation of damage.
Silversix, being elemental/piercing, is only good against families who are neutral to one, and weak to another. Common example is undeads such as kats and zombies. Neutral to piercing, weak to elemental. Less common usage of ap is fiends such as devilites, greavers, and trojans. None of which the silversix is particularly effective against. Devilites dodge, greavers are fast and almost require some sort of crowd control, and trojans are best dealt with a sword or a needle.
I really only use the Silversix for one thing, and that is as a method of luring enemies towards myself so I can kill them with a Glacius Combo. The sad thing is that an Alchemer does the job better. Normally I used a gun like the Polaris as a sidearm, but the knockback is detrimental when you want to also swing your sword at the guy.
The other use is on no-shiver Vanaduke runs. Look up Vanaduke Soloing runs, and most of them are with an Argent Peacemaker (I think I saw one with a Blitz).
Time to rejoice!! Go check out the patch notes....AP is now pure elemental :D
It's simply how the game displays the numbers... it seems to choose the color by comparing how much damage is dealt with a certain threshold.
For example, Divine Avenger deals dual damage - normal and elemental. When the sword is not fully heated, you may see grey instead of blue numbers when you hit constructs with it.
