Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised by this getting rectified.
Now if OOO could continue working on things like making "stealth" patches more transparent, and other such things....it'll go a long way in restoring my trust and respect.
I indeed enjoyed reading this thread, it just goes to show that of course, the GMs always care about their customers! just today one of my guildies lagged out of UFSC and a GM (cant remember who D: name started with an "A") brought him back in after he filed a report :) we also won that run and i got to make my mercurial demo set X) hurray!
Yeah, these people made this game for us to enjoy, in the first place - that's why I wouldn't ever be so quick (even in a ridiculous situation like this) to start yelling about how OOO hates its customers and has terrible service.
It's not like Nick, Eurydice, and the others are all sitting in their conference room, cackling to themselves, "How next can we ruin and ban our players?! MuahahhahhahAHAHAHHAH!"

I just wanted to say kudos to triple O for doing the right thing.
I'd also like to state, that i, for one, have noticed that triple O really is evolving in terms of how they handle complaints and situations. More and more, they seem to be taking a common sense look at things, and making the correct judgements on issues. Its still surprising that some mistakes are being made in the first place, or that at times it takes them as long as it does (and with as much haggle and hassle) to get to the logical common sensical conclusion of matters.
But still, its certainly positive that they are slowly shifting towards making the "right" decisions for the "Right" reasons. It shows that they are growing and evolving as a company. They are beginning to balance the profiteering nature of business with the customer service aspects to which we as consumers have grown accustomed, and dare i say, entitled.
I'm glad OOO is coming around, that they are learning and utilizing the old truth in business "take care of your customers and profits will take care of themselves." Even if the totality of their actions are still quite a ways from ideal, they are trending in a purely positive direction.
