Thanks Man, I'm just getting to a skill/gear level were I think I'm ready for a FSC, so thank you. I myself am a swordie and I plan on getting a Blitz Needle now.

So it seems my post from earlier didn't go through D=

What about Deadshot Armour and Chapeau?

+ Damage bonus very high vs undead (which comprises the majority of monsters in FSC) across all weapons. This is a step up from VH dmg bonus to only swords via trinkets/skolver/snarby. Also for non-undead monsters (the main ones being trojans and Vanaduke) you recommend using the Blitz Needle (which gains no damage bonus from your wolver sets/sword trinkets anyway).
+ Couple it with ASI sword trinkets for VH ASI
+ Shadow resistance (should you somehow get hit)
- No fire resist (But you shouldn't be getting hit anyway right?). Worst case scenario is you get fire UVs.

I think overall, judging the by the playstyle expected from you, this set would be more well suited for FSC.

Where are you getting maximum from? Each piece only gives medium, which together is VH.

Also I would recommend swords over blitz. But blitz is an alternative.

Hi strudul

Good sword guide.
Question:
If i have ctr max on all my swords should i still be focusing on normal attacks over charge attacks? I feel like after a 3 hit normal attack if i just hold down the attack button and 3rd hit and go into my next charge i'm doing much better DPS.

Anyhow, good job. I found it interesting. I'll have to read the floor by floor breakdown when i get a chance later on.

Good guide for swording thru FSC fast as possible

Depends on your other stats. If you only have ctr max and no dmg or asi then yes. You should have a nice variety and as long as you are flowing (not leaving battle to charge) then it should be fine.

I very rarely/ never do pub games. I am always pre-made so never really encounter that situation.

@Strudul:

You might want to think about advertising this set. I find that if you have these things, you don't really need many UVs anymore.

Vog Cub Set

Barbarous Thorn Shield

Elite Slash Module, Elite Sword Focus Module

Defense: elemental defense and fire resistance

Sword buffs: ASI very high, DMG very high, CTR very high

That is a good set for if you can not afford UVs.
Though I personally would take a Swiftstrike buckler and swap out a piece of vog for skolver/snarby.
Giving Ultra asi, VH dmg, VH ctr. And that asi high from SSB adds to your gun which is nice.

I fortunately can afford UVs, so my set up is:
Vog Cap (Normal High)
Snarby Caot
Swiftstrike Buckler
Elite Slash Module x2

This gives Ultra ASI and Max damage (and CTR med from level 10 heat)

I then put CTR High on most swords giving CTR Ultra.
Although on Dread Venom Striker and Final Flourish I got ASI Med since I do not use the charge attack.
