Maybe not run so many computers on the same network?
Health Trinkets in LD
Lockdown and the Clockworks are two completely different scenarios. In Lockdown, you have, at a minimum, twice as many players in the same combat area (4v4, compared to a party of four players). Latency will naturally be higher in that case, as it means twice as many computers have to communicate at once. Furthermore, you are far less inclined to notice the latency in the Clockworks, because you are not directly fighting the other players. Your swings go right through them no matter what. If you were to have the players do a footrace, and then observe both PC's at the same time, the players will appear to be in different positions.
As for tracking cloaked Recons, you know what? I'm not going to argue with you. I'm going to do the scientific thing, and get someone to test it with me, record it, and upload it to YouTube. If I'm wrong, and it does in fact track cloaked Recons, I will happily admit it and request that it be fixed. If I'm right and it does not track the cloaked Recons, then that means you need to quit claiming that it does. I'm going to go work on this right now, I'll post the video link here on the forums when I'm done.
EDIT: The video is here.
As can clearly be seen in the video, auto-target does NOT track cloaked Recons. If you get hit while cloaked, it's either your fault for being predictable, or the other player just got lucky. I repeat, it does NOT track cloaked Recons. Until you have proper (non-anecdotal) counter-evidence, end of discussion.
Inb4 "you didn't swing or try to combo"
Inb4 "you turned autoaim off so obviously it didn't track"
Any decent Recon could tell you that Auto-Aim does not track a cloaked Recon... if it did none of us would ever be cloaked. A cloaked Recon gets hit from being predictable or sheer dumb luck. But Eldibs' video already proved that.
Or you can test it yourself... the Ghostmanes in OCH have Recon cloaks... try auto-targetting them while they're cloaked. I'll tell you from my personal experimenting that it doesn't work.

You guys seriously need to learn to stop feeding the troll...
i dk why u play ld if first all u do is complain and second ur delusional about tracking recons.
1. have u been recon? no ur always striker
2. have u used auto aim ld ? obvioulsy not cause ur part of the auto aim rights movement evidently that no one knows about nor cares about (its only a game only u dont seen everyone else does)
airgo u have no evidence and ur just either trolling or ur insane
Lol Eldibs soo true, I am pretty into psychology myself, ur points r right at the mark. People who whine about things in LD is the worst thing about LD, if people hav better uv they worked to get it either grinding or working irl. AA is not for clockworks, AA is made specifically for LD and dumb kids whine about people using things the way they were meant to be used.. i only hav problems with AA spammers rather than AA users but I dont whine about that.. people do it and the best thing for me to do is to find ways to counter that.. also I havnt found AA tracking recons either.. so I dont see wat u mean with that, Blueberry.
this is no longer about health trinkets and is instead about Autoaim bickering
On the topic of Health Trinkets I personally think that they shouldn't be included simply due to the fact that you need to craft them first and then spend 300 CE to unlock both trinket slots for 30 days
it's not even permanent there
this adds another barrier of entry to the already quite gear weighted Lockdown in addition to the lack of any form of actual ingame tutorial or training mode(speaking as a newb and no I won't play the bomberman minigame instead as that is quite lag plagued similiarly to lockdown)
and in the case of strikers consider that in T2 the average Striker with Dusker should have 8 HP but with HP trinkets (3 star) he has twice that
that is quite significant at equal skill levels (equal trades are more devestating for the non trinket user), disparate skilllevels (steamroll if the good player is twice as hard to kill<-> faceroll if the newbish player can take more punishment)
this becomes less significant for guardian and stalkers but is still quite powerful
even worse is the lack of inspect or any healthbars/visual ques to confirm the presence or absence of trinkets meaning that I don't know how much damage I'm actually doing to someone (bad damage indicators as the vague clockworks style red bars flying off gives little indication as to damage dealt)
And now back off topic: Autoaim takes a great deal of human error out of the mix and in high ping situations (or in fairly normal situations) will make many engagements difficult for anyone using a normal method of aiming
at lower skill levels this is quite game-changing
I am aware that I am arguing in favor of those who are inexperienced at lockdown but currently lockdown is very aggressive towards new players due to it's quite radical difference to conventional clockworks and lack of a decent introduction compared to the crash site which gave the player access to the basic elements or the difficulty curve of the clockworks
hey seriously, there's nothing wrong with health trinkets. if you don't like that you can't kill them, then play t3 lockdown and spam voltaic tempest. I guarantee you will piss people off. and it will be hard for those skolver strikers (MEEE) to hit you. I play with a Divine Avenger asi low, Final flourish asi med and gigawatt pulsar (clean) and I can tell you, my worst enemy is VT spammers. so try it out.
and btw, 10k damage isn't that high. I saw a kid I think it was the... I don't remember his name. but we was in proto armor destroying everybody. he got 19k damage while I got 17k. so don't brag about your 2 star armor and getting 10k ;)
@Ncks
Just like with flourishes, it depends on who's using the hammer. I know some people who will charge at where they were.I've taken these down, 1 hit at most. However some others, like I try to, aim for where they will be. This can be extremely effective, allowing easy takedown of gunners and some skolver strikers who then complain about me using autoaim hammer...*coughcough*norespekt*coughcough*
And 150K damage blueberrymuffin? screenshot or I don't believe it.
EDIT: wait, it took me over half a page to type this?/think I must have a better use of my time...And health trinkets ruin T2 lockdown, but in T3, I think they're fine, as it's possible to take down dual penta on full HP without any health trinkets myself. Now, a full penta with ancient plate armour, as guardian...
@Thescrub
Actually, if you have an alt account with a separate Mist energy bar, you can get those two Trinket Slot upgrades for 100CE total (150CE each, minus 100 daily Mist energy for each one is 50CE). With an initial investment of 50CE, you can start selling those Trinket Slots to other players (they usually go for 90-100CE each, netting you 40-50CE in exchange for you alt's daily mist energy), and use the profits to pay for your own.
Anyways, basically, what you're arguing for is making a harder game environment easier. I suppose you're right. You know what, Fire is too dangerous for players new to FSC. We should take that out. They shouldn't have to make Fire resistant armor, that's just another barrier to entry. And that pesky Pierce damage from jellies is a little too much in the RJP, that needs to be removed too. Having to make Pierce armor to play it well is just another barrier to entry for the RJP. Also, five-star gear is just too powerful in T3 Lockdown. The new four-star players just can't compete. We should ban all five-star gear from Lockdown, that way the four-star players don't have to make five-star gear. I mean, for a full five-star basic Lockdown set (two weapons, both armor pieces) it's like 3200CE. Nobody has full five-star gear except the elite few.
You see what I'm getting at? It's a VERY slippery slope. You ban one item because some vocal minority doesn't like it, and soon, you're having to ban everything and then nobody is having any fun. Frankly, you should be thankful that Heart Pendants are so easily available. Back before they were added to the Krogmo Alchemy Machine, they really were only possessed by the elite few, because they were so expensive and rare, and it was a major unbalancing factor in Lockdown. Allowing anybody to get them leveled the playing field significantly. Besides, most players will naturally try to get them anyways, because they're good in the Clockworks too.
First off, Autoaim is a default setting so obviously I've used it xD, 2nd it does infact lock onto cloaked recons and Autoaim doesn't follow the rules of "latency", what appears to be 20 feet on the screen would be in range with the reality of the game, for example when I run FSC/JK with my bros and we run along side eachother each screen says something different of where everyone is, autoaim doesn't account for that so it obviously can hit people from what looks like 20 feet.
