You know, the counter that shows you how much money you earned at the end of a run.
Is the crown counter accurate?
1. Enter lobby, write down your amount of crowns (A) on a piece of paper.
2. Complete the run. Try not to spend crowns buying/trading - if you do, write down the amount you used (B).
3. Enter elevator back to Haven, and write down your amount of crowns (C) and the gain reported (D).
4. Does (A) - (B) + (D) = (C)?
Also it would be pretty scary and very messed up if it doesn't, don't you think?
Do you have to keep track of every copper coin you picked up, to see if there's a bug with picking up coins or is OOO's trying to cheat you? How about heat which exact number you cannot tell?...
I did the Ironclaw Munitions Factory mission and got like 1600 crowns according to the crown counter, but there's no way that stratum pays out so little.
IMF hardly has any enemies in it.
IMF does pay out very little; if you're not in it for the weapons, RJP is more profitable.
"Rise or Fall" is the new cash cow now - Shootertrouble has done some data collection and it's from 2.7k to 3.2k each run, and it seems killing lichens before they combine gets you more crowns. Look at his post (4th reply) in this thread: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/45246. I've invited people to join at the arena level; their crown gain was around 2k.
And you can do Rise or Fall 3 times on mist if you do not get bored easily. If you are bored, mix in a JK/RT run - selling 3* token items to AI is quick, easy and a certain profit.
This is what i have told all my mist running guild members to do for crowns. They are averaging 10kcrowns for 100 mist, and seem fairly happy about this.
You kill a bunch of enemies in a certain way that there is heat and crowns lying EVERYWHERE. That massive amount of plinks and clinks you hear as you pick them up sounds like music to your ears, then you look at the crown counter and go. WAIT THAT WAS IT?!
...yes.
