@guy-who-is-leaving
bye.
Goodbye, Spiral Knights
May the fire in your soul never leave. Your fingers and mind swift and sharp beyond any sword. Gonna just take a blessing out for you that's well known.
"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand."
See you later Nicoya... may we meet again on the battlefield.
To anyone who says someone making a 'I'm leaving l8r brah' thread is an attention seeker, I disagree.
Some people prefer just letting people know that they will no longer be on. They prefer other people to know so that they are no longer expected.
Imagine guildies planning an SL run for you when you already quit the game 2 months ago. They didn't know.
Not everyone who tells people things just want attention to feed their ego. I wish people would stop assuming that.
You shall be remembered forever as the cutest spiral knights player. It's a compliment, really.
Some people, like those from the 4-chong, simply won't be swayed n the matter.
Goodbye dear friend if only it didn't have to come to this
It's a shame to see you go, but I can completely understand why you're leaving.
Goodbye, and good luck!
@Psychodestroyer
If someone actually valued the friends they made in this game they would either:
1. Tell them they are quitting in-game and possibly give the friend a going away present.
2. If the friend cannot be reached then a mail can be sent and maybe a present attached.
Someone who believes there are people who are not on their friends list but care very much about whether they are playing the game or not anymore would post on the forums about how they are leaving the game so as to give their mass of followers the opportunity to grieve this great loss. I mean, really, what is the point of posting that you are leaving a game on the public forums? This tells us the quitter either thinks:
1. "I don't really care about my friends enough to tell them in person or by mail but I know they all worship the ground I walk on so I might as well leave a post on the forums telling them I've left the game so they can cry and lament over this great loss to the game."
Or
2. "I don't have any personal friends to tell that I've left the game but I do have throngs of followers whose lives hinge on my every word so I might as well tell them that I'm leaving the game so they can all question the existence of a mericiful and loving God over this awful loss."
There really isn't any good reason to announce that you are leaving the game over the public forums rather than in person to anyone who would care that you are leaving. This is basically just an exercise in ego stroking.
Nicoya's ego actually deserved to be stroked. Really.
Anyways some people, like me, had never met Nicoya in-game, but I'm happy I had the chance to say goodbye.
I'm still sad. D:
Woah, I wouldn't go that far. Though I find Nicoya-Kitty to have a huge ego, I'm only neutral about him quitting the game. To actually be happy that he is quitting, man what did the guy do to you? I know he has a massive ego, but wow, so much hate. Hahahaha. Not that I think he doesn't deserve it, but wow.
Anyways gonna go laugh some more because you are hilarious.
And you want to rain on that parade why?
As far as I know, Nicoya has been a great player in his time. It's nice to be able to say goodbye to people you know.
Besides, if you were that well known, and suddenly left, no-one would know and wait for you to come back.
Really, you make out people who make a thread saying goodbye to be real pricks.
Relate this to real life. If someone famous, JK Rowling or Peter Jackson or someone decided to stop what they did, everyone would wonder where they went. They'd tell people they aren't doing what they do anymore so people know not to expect anything from them anymore.
If I gave free stuff to randoms regularly, then suddenly stop, people would still bother me. Logical solution: post saying I'm no longer giving free stuff.
Some people want the attention as a protest. Some people just want others to know they're gone. Really, not everyone who tells people somewhat meaningless details is an attention seeker.
If I randomly told my friends: "Aw geez, my arm hurts, smashed it on a bench." Do you really think I told them just for free pity? Some people like to leave others in the know.
Stop making people out to be such high and mighty 'I'm important look at me' thingies.
The Tortadone was announced as having been removed. They didn't just remove it and not tell us.
EDIT:
............
He said he's happy he got to say goodbye....
Not 'oh yay he's gone'
He was happy he had the CHANCE to SEE HIM OFF before he actually LEFT.
IT WAS A POSITIVE COMMENT.
Ok guys, I know it's a sad thing that Nicoya left the game, but he isn't on forums neither, so this theard should be closed.
I just gotta say even though you prob. won't read this. You have been a great inspiration as a bomber for me. When ever I rip someone ankles off with my Shards, its for you man
later Nicoya....
no homo...
You're an inspiration. It's sad to see you go.
Goodbye and good luck.
@Psychodestroyer
That is exactly what I mean. Nicoya-kitty believes he is on the same level as some celebrity so he must address his faceless fans before he leaves. Whether he truely is a celebrity or not does not matter, it is the sheer hubris of making the thread that makes me think he has a huge ego. I used to think he was an alright guy, but after this, I lost all respect for him.
Nodocchi, your opinion matters to us as much as Nicoya's leaving matters to you.
@Nodocchi: A few things...
What do you mean "so much hate"? I was just disagreeing with you on the subject of leaving people without saying goodbye, not hating on anyone. As Psycho said, it was a positive comment.
Two, if there was such thing as a Spiral Celebrity, Nicoya would be one.
And three, nobody here has a face, just eyes.
Hey, thanks for being a friend, for helping me learn how to post video correctly.
Even if you never see this, you rock Nicoya.
So Nicoya just left too eh? Good choice on you. I seen you here and there. You were a well known knight. I too have followed your path of departure long ago, but I still keep my account for updates on the game to see how it goes for my friends in SK.
Let's put it this way Nic (if you're reading this). At least you didn't quit the game under tense pretenses. I already made my last long post long ago, but I couldn't help but comment here.
If you have RL or "I'm just bored" reasons for leaving. I understand and good luck.
Although with the sheer timing...
If you dropped a post like this as a knee-jerk protest of the Crimson Mission Pack...You should be ashamed.
They made mistakes with the shadow keys at the start and fixed it, how do you know that the DLC won't become a tradeable item thats consumed on use very soon? Free to play players would then be able to obtain it easier than running all 4 shadow lairs.
I'm not saying OOO is right, I'm saying its easy to get them to FIX it like they have other things.
Lets not even begin to mention the Tier 3 Missions that are already on the testing server. Yes, all of those are going to be free because they are a part of the core game.

Been meaning to do that.
LOL, I see bad slime everywhere. I can only say: Finally!
It's really sad to see players leaving, but Nicoya... personally, I'm very happy. Why? There are a few reasons why I'm happy, the biggest are his Youtube videos. Which Youtube videos? These where Nicoya is showing how to abuse game play mechanics, viewable for EVERYONE. Of course that is (or should be) bannable (and hopefully it is!), but I know that some people will abuse it because of him, and this will change the game in a terrible way if that continues. I'm not happy about people which are making videos for "help" but do mostly it because of attention. If the person from Three Rings who had read the support message from Nicoya about "multiboxing" (the word... lol, is that an English word?), then this person will agree that he pointed on a >really< critical topic. If everyone would do that, what would happen with this game? The result would be energy prices in a 5 digit number. I'm sure that there are some people which don't have the ability to think what their uploaded videos could change, damage or... whatever do. If you want to hear my opinion, Nicoya uploaded these videos with his own knights to show a cricital topic and how to abuse that (and probably get attention too).
And to these people who say Nicoya was P2P: Are you joking? In the past he was all the time F2P, until the elevator passes came out, but it seems that he thought a long time before he buyed one. It also seems to be true that he bought 2 - 3 elevator passes, but that will not half long enough cover the damage that he had done with a few of his videos. Hopefully he will damage games that are beyond the universe of Three Rings and Sega. The game has already enough people who shout bug abusing things everywhere + these attention seekers.
And to the DLC: I know why Three Rings did that. I saw many people which have A LOT of money, but don't spend it on the game because "they would reach all without spending real money". Now these people can't reach everything if they don't spend money on the game. It is a big change on the game, but in my opinion Three Rings was really clever to find an extra way to get more money. But of course, everything has advantages and drawbacks.
As always most of you wouldn't agree with me, so start hating!
Dude, multiboxing is legal as long as you have made purchases on all the accounts you use. Also, he did not use a third-party program to control two characters at once; he simply dragged the corpse of his alt through the levels - meaning that monsters' HP was scaled up but he had to fight alone.
You say he's damaging the game.
Well guess what, there's a glitch that allows you to walk both paths of Ashen Armory, if Nicoya really wanted to show us how to exploit the game he could have made a video of that instead.
I saw it often how some people with crown offers made the energy price so high (for example 6323, 6324 and then 6400, 6401, 6450, 6451, ...), if these... I call them not intelligent offers, if they increase then the energy price would increase too.
@Metagenic lol, that glitch is new to me too, but that little crowns are much less than abusing the game mechanics of getting a 2x, 3x, or a 4x crowns reward, which is a huge difference, and Three Rings knows that this is dangerous, I saw it when Nicoya posted the supports answer in the forums. If everyone is doing that, then I can only say: 10.000 crowns per 100 energy, we are coming soon! Hopefully the paid account status only lasts for 30 days, that would be such a good solution to prevent abusing the system... (I call it abusing because I'm very sure that the paid thing was intended for people and families which use one computer)

To be a homo is no shame! People which are saying that to you are a shame, it's the same with the racists.
If what you're saying is true, the price for CE would have already skyrocketed by now, because people certainly have been multiboxing for a long time, maybe even before Nicoya posted a video about it. However, personally, the highest I've seen the price of CE go up to was 7k+, and that was during the introduction of the elevator pass. While I have heard that CE was once indeed 10k crowns per 100CE, it was a very long time ago (I think it was before SK went onto Steam). Besides, regular CE promotions and CE packs released by OOO have helped to keep the CE prices down. Also, not everybody likes having to constantly switch between different SK windows to keep the accounts 'active' while dragging their dead bodies through the Clockworks.
@Griseolar I'm always expecting the worst that could happen, but you are right ^^ But if more people would do that, then the price will surely rise (more crowns and less people which are selling energy)
People multitask. Nicoya just posted a vid of it online.
Sadly, multiboxing is legit. Look around the threads marked with the ADMIN icon, in one of them Eurydice directly says that multiboxing is fine as long as you don't use third party software. Its kinda a shame but eh; also, no point in beating a dead horse.
No use slandering Nicoya's name. I've known plenty of greats who do/have multiboxed, among these being (if I am not mistaken, and he multiboxed 3 alts through FSC) vietcongcss, who quit maybe last month. Personally I find multiboxing to be a great waste of time, as it takes you double the time and double the difficulty to run the level and you'd probably catch me multiboxing only if I have a guildmate to help cover my arse.
As for the legality of it, what Paweu said. Also, has it ever occurred to you that people multibox to purposely ramp up the difficulty of the game? (I had a friend actually pay me to multibox for him so he had a 4-man solo vanaduke attempt. Crazy!)
Vietcongcss quit in december [`]
Seems like someone took his name... or maybe he came back?
IDK, it seems like it was only a month ago. Then again, I still remember thunderdragonca and some of the summer players and have their leaving dates confused, so it's possible that I mixed up Vietcongcss with another player leaving ^^;
To all the great explorers of the clockworks, those who leave us now and those who have already left us, adieu. You have shaped and molded the culture of the SK world, it's richest asset, and the havens will miss you. The knights will miss you. I salute you all, and we await the day you will roam the clockworks once again. May ye return from obscurity as I have. God bless.
Hurp-dee-durp.
Figures a random troll has to come around and trash Nicoya's thread because he's either (1), jealous, or (2), Wanting to flame randomly.
Anyway...
Bye, Nicoya-Kitty, and good luck out there :(
So, I'd just like to say, nicoya has read the three pages of goodbyes and trolls. Not sure how far he went, but he did. I just went and watched like 10 minutes of his new video, that's where I got it from.
He's doing skyrim now, we can still hear his opening phrase.
I liek how dis thred is still going... shows how popular Nicoya is xD
The content is so cheap, that you would have to feel glad you're been able to donate that little money for the offered content in order for them to expand the game to greater hights. I do think it goes against the priciple of the game, but i've been playing ever since the start. The free content that's in the game has had me busy for months. The crimson expansion could have been free, but I think as it is, the offered content, and the way its offered fits well with the game. And again i'm glad that i've been able to donate the little money, since i dont find spending on energy worth my cash (personally). This content however was
Noooo. Be4 u go if u are gonna play another game I'm coming with u. Even if u don't know me... But u were my idol for sk >.<
Tbh, I am disappointed Nicoya came back to read this thread. All the hate here earlier...
He didn't deserve to have to see that.
Sorry you had to see the state of your thread Nicoya. Farewell on behalf of the people who actually DO care you left.
I can't believe even a great guy like Nicoya gets so much hate from people. Jeez. :/
@Charoum
Nah, you have to do the special "Eurydice Lock-Thread Chant".
Euuuurrrrrrryyyyyyy.
Where are youuuuuuuuuu?
As much as we'll miss Nicoya, we need a threaaaadddddd lockkkk.

Like that. Or simply /shout Eury, lock dis thread please.

A lot of good people went away with the May updates. I guess this is the same.
For quite a few people, all that's keeping them in the game is their friends. What does that say about this game?
