I think I had another thread about this, but this one is kinda different.
How it works is that there is a tradeable "Operation Crimson Hammer Ticket" (New option in the inventory side bar thing, "DLC Tickets", which show like weapon slot upgrades which DLCs you have upgraded and doable by highlighting them yellow). This way, it is tradable for non-steam players.
This way, no matter what free player is doing the DLC from the ticket they bought with crowns or CE, someone somewhere bought their ticket for them with $4 - $6. Nobody is in the new content without having OOO profit.
What this does is promotes more tickets to be bought, and more players have access to the new content. There is going to be a high demand for these among free players, so paying players will not be the only ones in the DLC having only $4 - $6 payed for themselves.
I have a feeling it would totally ruin the economy (Less CE buyers, more crown farmers) but at least people couldn't complain about a no f2p.
Honestly, I don't know the game economy enough to make any calls on how selling the DLC ticket would hurt or help it, so if anyone can post below what they think would happen that'd we awesome. Anyways, if you see anything else that might be wrong about this please post below. If you support this for non-steam players, you can also say so etc, but this isn't a suggestion for this thread it is mainly to discuss wether or not this would solve anything.
Yeah, this was the first thing I suggested as a solution, it works this way in other MMOs and I think it could work. But, I also feel that we should wait if Nick can make the client for the game first, it would benefit OOO more.
