Idea for these new missions - Started to think about during 8-1 Return of Ur

Hi Dev's -

I was thinking while I was going through the missions that it would be kind of cool if at the end of these missions (ie the last group battle of each) if there were some sort of mini boss fight. When I say mini boss fight, I mean take one or more of the enemies and change their color, increase their attributes, and maybe put a small piece of dialogue in there. I was thinking depending on how much work this might be that it may significantly add to the playing experience.

For example:

In the mission Return of Ur when you fight the final battle before the elevator it would be kind of cool if the lights could dim a little and a little bit of dialogue happened with the trojan being summoned or something right before the battle, and then in the final piece of the battle you could be fighting the gremlins and the final trojan would appear and he'd have more life and be faster than the regular trojans.

Just food for thought!

It's a great idea, and minibosses are definitely on the table. They may start cropping up after another pass on Rank Missions. We'll see!

I agree. Variety and set-up is always good. You might even allow the knights to step onto the elevator (only to find that is won't work) before the boss appears!

I'd love to fight mini

I'd love to fight mini bosses.... especially if they were in the clockworks too. It'd be epic to have the depth before basil/terminals hold one, or even to just have them pop up randomly. This would also be a great time to reintroduce the tortodrone.

Minibosses in other games

I love mini bosses :D One idea is that you could have sets of mini bosses for different levels. For example, it could be average to get mini boss a on a certain depth, but on a rare occasion you could get mini boss b or c which are tougher, but slightly more rare and maybe, but not necessarily a better drop. Also, it doesn't have to be rarer mini bosses, just random on some depths. A variety would be much more fun then single mini bosses for a depth. Make sense or am I just rambling XD?

It would also be cool if minibosses dropped rare mats or had a higher chance of dropping more valuable items.

It is implemented! So awesome! And the trojan is a dangerous enemy - I am looking forward to those kinds of improvements!

p.s. But something nice, e.g. this trojan's tokens, would be appreciated too :)
