Before I type anything else:
Chapter 7, Part I
Haven: Arcade
The teams, the Beta squads were fully assembled. Armerio had the best draw of all of them, in terms of bosses, he drew the Snarbolax gate. Kana, had Vanduke's gate, Adn had the Roarmulus twins gate (he was happy about that), which left Gunshot with the Jelly King to his dismay.
"Oh come ON!!" he protested.
"Tough luck bro," Armerio said.
"Time to go," Commander Blue said, with a touch of sadness. Armerio was a bit reluctant to go. Kora suddenly ran up from behind and enveloped him in a bear hug. It brought back fond memories of his childhood. Now he was even more reluctant to go, Kora whispered
"Don't worry, you'll be alright, Databank will take care of you guys," stifling a tear.
"You mean you're not my Intel?" Armerio asked.
"Nope, sorry, I drew Kana," Kora explained.
"Ok, make sure Databank reads to me, when we set up camp," Armerio said. Kora laughed. It was an inside joke.
"Ok, now guys, i'm sorry to rush you, but you got to go" Commander Blue said.
It was a strange scene. Sixteen knights making their way to the elevators.
"We salute you, Beta Knights, and good luck," Commander Blue said. The captains pressed the buttons at precisely the same time. The Voltaic Tempests did their work. Knight 13, known better as Aria Azalus White, screamed in rage
"SULLIVAN!!!!" She threw her sword precisely where Sullivan always stood, and got nothing but air.
After the bombs had finished their work, and the effects of shock wore off, Commander Blue asked Aria,
"Sullivan did this?"
"Probably, I saw him skulking around the elevators right before the tournament," came the annoyed reply. The elevators then dropped suddenly dropped to the core, not to be seen for a while.
"Well, I supppose we'll have to use the backups," Commander Blue said. The squads followed Commander Blue out of the Arcade.
And into a mass of dark monsters.
The sixteen knights ran into the frenzied mob of devilites, zombies and Kats. Kana wove through the crowd while striking at random places with Kodokuna's Nightblade. Aria, fought beside her and the two were reminiscent of two ancient Almirian heroes, both girls, by the way. The other two members of the squad, Stoicsword and Preserver found their way to their leader.Preserver was shielding all the monster off of the gunner, Aria and Kana, who were given more space to operate, making it easier to shoot down enemies, which allowed Stoicsword to cut through others much easier.
Pow's group was a much different story, not in the fluidity of the group, just how they operated. Pow signalled for the two other dudes in the group, MuerteBlade and Sociotrigger, to take the left and right side, where they commenced bashing and shooting respectively. He and the girl of the group, Lazie purged forward into the group, Lazie leading the way with her shield, and Pow shooting. Pow grinned , MuerteBlade and Socio were coming in now, which meant soon, he and Lazie would turn around and collapse onto the herded monsters.
Adn was busy setting mecha knights, he assigned three mecha knights to the other knights, keeping only one with him, to keep some of the other monsters off of his back. Devilites fell rapidly around him and the members of his group, Mars, Locabeza, and Rampage were cutting down monsters even more efficiently.
Databank was already in Armerio's ear, telling him what to watch out for, and where to go. Armerio, was now next to his group, Aphrodite, Mercenary, and Gore pushing outwards with their shields, then striking or shooting rapidly. This was a strategy they had devloped in the A.T.H. and it was working perfectly. The squads had cut down the force to about half and shrinking by the second, when, out of nowhere, an earth-ripping blast shook the town square.
Everything stopped. All attention was directed to the giant crater with a hole in the center right where the fountain used to be. A gremlin force stood there, brandishing dark axes.
This fight was just beginning.
So? So? I won't beon for a while, but down hesitate to drop comments, I get discouraged easily. So, till next time!
