Hello there!

So, I was thinking. How could a guild make itself more unique from all the others? Suddenly, the idea of a custom symbol sprung into my mind.

Basically, the Guild Master(s) could create a unique icon/crest/symbol for his/her guild.

Now, I bet you're thinking "How would this icon be displayed?"
Well, in varying ways. Here's a list:

1. A custom shield could be created that bears this icon. I'm not sure how this would work stat-wise, however.
2. Each guild member could put a crest (armor-front accessory) bearing his/her guild icon on it. The crests could either be be put on armor infinitely as long as the member remains in that guild, or produced for a fee.
3. Upon being inspected, there would be a picture of the players guild icon next to their name.
4. Preset armor costumes could be created with the guilds picture on the front/back/shoulders. This would be limited to preset styles, of course, and the armor itself is costume-only.
5. In Guild Lockdown, the icon is displayed on the guardian's shield, recon's small flag, and on the striker's "whatever-that-thing-in-his-left-hand-is".

So, whadd'ya think? I'd appreciate some opinions on this. Also, if anyone can think of other ways for the icon to be displayed, do tell.

Always check here first when you're suggesting anything to do with Guild Halls. :p

It's under point 6, unless you're talking about something else.

Seems like the same thing. Although I have a more "customizable" thing in mind. Yours sounds like you're limited to only preset icons. What I had in mind was basically:

1. Pick a preset shape. (Shield, circle, square, heart, diamond, etc).
2. Choose a color from a selection tab and drag your mouse over the preset shape to paint it how you want.
3. You ARE allowed to use preset images on your creation, such as the status effect symbols, or monster family symbols.
4. Confirm that you are finished with the creation.

And yes, before you ask, there would be a way to report people for disturbing or inappropriate crests.

Well, the reason I use only presets is:

1): No possibility of inappropriate crests.

2): Copy/Paste ease to Devs (Not literally, but all those icons are already in the game, so it's less work at least).

3): There aren't too many large Guilds; I mean, there are a lot, but not enough to make certain patterns over-used, I don't think.

The only problem with my idea (Besides the random colors available) is that I have certain icons unlockable, so naturally, one would want to display the hardest-to-unlock Crest. That being said, it could make people only use the final crest. I did not, however, make it easy to get all the Achievement Points necessary, since beating DFV is one of the prerequisites to that. So, I still don't think it'll be overused.

Well, I see the logic of your method. I suppose there are to many trolls in the game to allow such customization as I suggested. However, putting a fee on making crests would discourage such people from simply making an account, making a guild, and making a highly offensive crest. The combined guild creation and crest creation cost would make it difficult to do this, unless they plan on working for a couple days to save up, or spend actual money on CE.

Also, for your idea, I can't help but predict that Three Rings would put icons in the game that can only be purchased with semi-expensive amounts of CE or crowns.

However, for such an idea like this, prestige may finally have a purpose...

As long as it's crowns and not CE, I don't have a problem with it. Crown sinks are never bad imo, even when they're annoyingly expensive like Punch.

Using Prestige isn't a bad idea...but the Guild would have to have a prestige level or something. You couldn't take an average Prestige of all guild members. lol
