Hi er'rybody !

I played the game early on and decided to go total bomber. My old (now defunct) clan grew to appreciate me running on missions with them when they saw what a skilled dedicated bomber could do. I had good gear then - I'm looking to see what should be first on my list to get to catch up now - and what I shouldn't bother with.

My Current Gear:
Maxed out Mad Bomber Armor & Helmet

Maxed Out Bombs:
Ash of Agni
Venom Veiler
Nitronome
Shivermist Buster
Irontech Destroyer
Graviton Bomb (4*)

What should I pursue first ?
Quicksilver ?
Is Dark Briar Barrage worth it ? All this new content is cool, but a bit overwhelming.
Elite Boom Modules ?

Also, where are the cool places to go now ?

Thanks in advance,

Zolby.

you got a shiver, and you're

you got a shiver, and you're a dedicated bomber. FSC delvers in a PUG will love you.

Hmm

If you wear Mad Bomber, you'll only need one Elite Boom to reach Max CTR/Max Damage, which is always nice. You can sport a Penta Heart Trinket in the other slot.

If you want to do some Lockdown, Voltaic Tempest and RSS work well there. Anyone worth killing is going to have Shivermist immunity due to the prevalence of the Skolver set. Voltaic Tempest is also a favorite of mine for Candlestick and Scarlet Fortess since it works great on Kats.

DBB = WINNING in Wolver Dens. Sometimes I'll use it in Devilish Drudge too, or general fiend levels. The slow fuse takes some getting used to and makes it difficult to use on Greavers though. On the plus side, the bomb is not as disruptive as Nitro and knockdown is a lot more useful than knockback, makes chaining easier and won't disrupt fellow swordies.

RSS makes quick work of Zombies/Trojans in FSC, I prefer that over Nitro there. I rarely use it outside of FSC.

Most people would recommend the Electron Vortex over the Graviton line. The damage type/amount is negligible but it has a shock proc which is nice. It only becomes really useful at 5* though, and is best paired with a Brandish charge, either your own or from another party member. See http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/21959

Both Volcanic and Bombastic for buffed recently, making them useful and safer alternatives to Mad Bomber. Full Mad Bomber works fine too, of course.

Electron Vortex first. Next

Electron Vortex first.

Next on the list would be:
- Glacius
- Chaos set
- Elite Bomb focus module (unless you have medium ctr uv's on everything)
- Blitz Needle
- Tempest
- BTS

Less important
- Graviton Vortex
- Acheron
- BTB
- Polaris
- Sentenza
- Elite boom module
- Trueshot module
- Slash module

Most relevant changes... not sure when you were last here, but I guess:
- Brandish charge is safer and more awesome now.
- Electron Vortex is great.
- chaos set gives medium ctr on everything
- Using ice is considered slow / boring / inefficient in most places now.
- If you're a EU player that used to play on US server: forget all caution and what you learned about safety, you're immortal now. MUHAHAHAHahahahakekekeke!!1!1111

Not much new content. Try shadow lairs... or the expansion... but they're not really a replacement for fsc. Yes, everyone is still mostly doing fsc... guess many of us will reach 1k tokens before that changes IF it ever does T_T

Enjoy!

HA...."new" tricks.....

The only thing you really missed out on from the sound of it was the addition of the Dark Retribution and it's IMMENSELY broken speed apart from the armor upgrades, but most of the old stuff would still seem to work pretty well. I mean, sure, the bosses are getting a little too easy and boring right now, but still, it's nice to go out and experiment with what you have to get used to some of the stuff that's been added, in fact, pretty much out of sheer boredom, I went out and killed the bosses, the standard ones, anyway, with only haze bombs. Doesn't take as long to do any of it as you might think it would (anything but vana doesn't even take an hour, and even then he only takes 2) :P Not really a lot of "new tricks" to learn, maybe some new "patterns" to say the least. Since they always seem to be having to fix bugs with boss fights. Matter of fact, add me if you want, we can go do stuff together :D

Soo....

To get the electron vortex, it'll take 300 krogmos right ? I haven't tried the coliseum yet, so I guess I'll need to get hustling on that ? Are Krogmo coins transferable or must I earn my own ?

Other than that, sounds great ! I'll get crackin asap !

Untradeable. You have to

Untradeable. You have to acquire the recipes and krogmo coins yourself.

You could skip 50 coins and search around the auction house for a decently priced 3* electron.
