Ohhhh, splendid! Your costume has been registered and will be judged on contest day.
I've decided to tweak the no shield/equipment rule a bit. I will allow you guys to use full inspect if you feel that your costume stands out more with weapons or a shield. BUT, those will still not be considered as part of the costume. These will just be used for presentation, but don't worry, I'm going to make the judging criteria to not include weapons and shields as part of the costume. So for those of you not using any of these, you won't be penalized for omitting your weapons and shield.

@Kezzang: Of course! You can enter as many categories as you wish, but you must have different costumes for each category.

...NOT! I did spend some of the CE I saved up for the contest (7k CE to be exact) and got lucky enough to get ASI VH on a Sealed Sword. Sold that sucka for 30k CE and got enough CE for the prizes. All it is, is that you can only use the full Rose sets on the Rose category, not on Open. This was done because some people felt that it was unfair to have a Open category that excluded the Rose sets. So, I only permitted ONE piece for these sets on Open, whereas the Rose categories can have the full set. Sounds redundant, I know, but I can't satisfy everyone's wants.

SPECIAL UPDATE!!!
Several things I'm going to throw out; I already have the prize money, everybody is anxious about the event (even I), and I got finals to study for on the weekend of the original date for the event. SO... THE CONTEST HAS BEEN MOVED TO APRIL 28!!! This should work out for pretty much everyone, because we all want this event to get here! So, I'm doing us all a favor! So finish up on your costumes, submit your entries if you plan to submit photo entries, etc. etc. LET'S DO THIS!!
The few days before the event (Thursday, Friday, and early Saturday), I will be sending out guild invites, as this event will take place on a guild. So if your name is NOT on the receptions list and you wish to either participate or spectate, INFORM ME NOW!!! We are almost close to C-Day, so let's make them count!
Prizes will stay as is. 17.5k CE is already a lot to give away, so I won't be giving out any more. Besides, more peeps are in it for the fun of it, not for the CE.

Surely it might be a wise idea to edit the description of the rose category in your first post since it is completely misleading as to what is acceptable (refer to the first quote in my previous post or your initial post) If you can only use a full rose set why would the description state the opposite. Just a thought so people are not disappointed.

I've done everything possible to make these rules as clear as glass, but if I still can't get them to sound right, then oh well. I can't please everyone, like I said. As it is, most of the contestants here are primarily focused on accessorizing their costumes, not creating a shield nor equipping weapons that match the outfit. So for those who spent more attention on accessorizing, it would be unfair for them to lose because of something irrelevant."
I agree, which is why I suggest that there be a *separate category* next time you run this (if you do) where weapon/shield combos will be considered. :) Just a thought.

Hmmmmm...
I would honestly prefer the public, as I feel there are there are a few ways to avoid getting too much of a crowd. Simply find a low populated Haven, send PM everyone the number, and have it held in the arcade. The reason I state the arcade is because ever since the missions, you don't see many people there.
As for the other option, I'm sure I can arrange something about momentarily swapping guilds, but I'm wary of guild activity, as it hasn't bee entirely active; and I still would like to keep ties in case it does. I'm also an officer on the guild.

Pros and Cons
Guild:
Pros: Guaranteed, No intruders will enter.
Cons: Limited amount of people can enter; some unwilling to leave their guild for contest.
Haven:
Pros: More publicity; more spectators; no one has to leave their guild.
Cons: High chance of attracting the wrong attention; high likeliness of the event falling apart.
Tough choice this one is. Decision I cannot make.

Blueknighter, I appreciate the time and effort you're putting into this! I believe, as long as it's semi-secret, the haven should be fine.
I have a question regarding judging: Does height and/or eyes affect your "costume"? What I mean is, Are your new eyes and height (if you changed it) part of your costume? I ask because my main costume has become 10x better with the new changes. Oh, and I'm almost done with it ;) The final accessory shall be bought soon enough.
