reduce trolls on the forums
All in favour of deleting the suggestions forums?
"All in favour of Removing the Idiots off the suggestions forums?"
Nope, just remove it completely.
All of you are unjustifiably attached to a superiority complex because you can read other people's suggestions. But none of you are smart or can word a suggestion properly or even in a manner that it could be considered appealing yourselves.
It's quite the paradox.
They can just put the suggestion box back in the game but make it more like a mail kind of thing. Egos and problems solved.
I mean I know it's hard to imagine you might have to actually contribute to earn the right to have an ego, but you'll come to terms with it and be productive or leave.
lolTroll.
My threads aren't "Luk hers wut u ned to do...guild hall upgrads", and that's the end of it.
I don't claim to be smart, but I can word my suggestion in a manner that it's at least mildly understandable.
~Sev
That's still an undeserved superiority complex you got there.
Just because you can word your ideas better doesn't make them any more worthwhile.
~Shoe
You think these guys have superiority complexes? You ain't seen nothin', buddy.
They should just ban you from posting, it would make this forum a lot better.
I mean I'm all for chasing consistent morons out of the community, but how can it thrive if the only thing you do is spout rubbish at people who are trying to contribute?
Oh wait it can't.
I don't know how many of my posts you've read, but for the most part I've tried to contribute properly. It's just that people like you seem to take that as some kind of offense to the original posters. Yes, I've shot down many a thread, and I try to provide those threads' creators with information that I consider to be both reasonable and in conflict with their own. Sure, the reason some of us post here regularly is because we think we're right and that our righteousness should be shared so that others might be inspired by it. This is a forum, a place where people are meant to discuss things. This is specifically a suggestions forum, where people are meant to discuss suggestions. What is this suggestions forum meant for besides discussing the good and bad parts of others' suggestions?
As I understand it, you'd like the suggestion submission system to change into a suggestion box. In other words, you'd like to destroy this part of the Spiral Knights community, but let's put that part aside. What you'd like is a system which expects the developers to read each and every suggestion that comes in. For each suggestion, they must decide whether it's worth their time, and perhaps implement that suggestion without any form of feedback from the people who play the game except more suggestions against it in the future. This to me seems extremely unproductive, if not counterproductive, especially given the fact that the Spiral Knights player base consists of more than a million players (citation here). You could argue that the developers don't have to read or consider every single suggestion, but then there's no point. The developers might as well just do whatever they want with no community feedback except for substantial changes in the player base each time they make a change that people see as really good or really bad. To me at least, this seems like a bad way to conduct business.
The way I see it, this forum was created so people like me (and you, even) can provide the developers with a better idea of what things they could implement to make their client base happier with their product. That's just how I see it, so by all means feel free to sling more crap around.
How can the community thrive if the only thing you do is spout rubbish at the people who are trying to contribute to the people who are trying to contribute?
Oh wait it can't.
If this was nine months ago you'd be in a world of trouble, but you're not really worth my time.
I mean I could have a field day with that post but I think anybody reading it can see what's wrong with you.
PS: The suggestion box existed up until the official release of the game, then they removed it and it's corresponding hotkey (F2) from the game.
Probably for fear of the volume of feedback they would receive.
But personally I don't think it would be all that difficult to catalog suggestions. Just get people to classify their own suggestions in the form.
That way they know what to look at and their input on changes as well original suggestions will increase, without the contributions of people like you.
You yourself are a troll and are trying to remove trolls...

I doubt it was the fear of the volume of feedback they would recieve, it was the volume of feedback they were recieving. If you look at some of the necroed threads around here, a lot of the suggestions were just as silly as many are now.
"But I think anybody reading can see what's wrong with you"
Nope. Schat is making much more sense.
We just don't have time for seperate accs so Pow lets me use his.
@Little-Cloud you are not part of the troll army, you are an outcast....
Problem with the suggestions forum is that the current number of non-contributive forumers outnumber the contributive ones.
When a few the annoying ones get bored and leave, we'll get back on track. Till then, we'll have to endure irrelevant topics, hopeless troll threads, and three word OPs, to mention a few.
If we had an admin around here the streets would be cleaner and void of sewage.
For the sake of common entertainment I shall provide this link. For future reference, do not post these troll threads in suggestions; instead provide links to them in normal trolling posts in response to existing and worthwhile threads without interrupting their progress, else I shall fake press the buttons on your microwave. The internal organs of your parents and pets shall be placed in the microwave.
Another issue is we need a better forum system, so we can tell who is actually being serious because we can check their post count/rep.
Too many arguments arise out of new people that don't know who's who and get offended, and serious forumers don't know who the new people are, and patronise.
