I got some footage of what the wings look like on max.
Dunno what happened to the audio in tha later half of the video, but I'm too lazy to go fix it or something.

That's a really awesome looking shield, too! Good job, SK!
Game Masters Aphrodite and Atlanta visited with the Spiral Knights community recently. Aphrodite was dressed smartly in the newest celestial costume while Atlanta was wearing, er, well, this.
The Dragon Princess is not sure how to describe this, um, very unique get-up. Atlanta clearly has, er, very special fashion sensibilities, that, hmmm, beggar accurate analysis of just, um, what this look is trying to convey, but . . . well, we were glad to see her, and I think she is one of Bechamel's finer creations!
You're just trying to be too kind. Here let me try!
Atlanta what on Cradle are you wearing? Did you make that blind folded? You resemble something random that has come out of a blender which had every accessory thrown into it. I still think you guys are awesome. Love you all loads!
On a more serious note. Mawashimono I would be honoured if you could do a little mawa special on my costume please.
Don't be hating on Atalanta's fashion choices. She can be a duck for all I care, as long as she interacts with the community more.
Now that I think about it, I wanna see some of the GMs parade around Haven 1 as ducks.
Hello all you fans of fashion. Big news today -
Recovery tickets have been added to the Supply Depot and allow you to recover an accessory from your gear.
The prices for these tickets, however, are quite high (as much as 10,000 energy), so while it's a great option to have, in many cases it will be cheaper to simply buy a new one. So you'll most like use these tickets for only the rarest, most costly and hard to find accessories. Still, it's a very happy update!
Also on this patch was a bugifx that was causing the Dragon Princess no end of consternation.
- Fixed a material error that causes Plasma Wings to turn white when compatibility mode is on. The Dragon Princess is quite happy that her earlier post was instrumental in bringing this to thier attention.
Finally, all of us can see the Plasma wings in all their glory. And here in all his glory is arguably the most glorious-looking knight amongst us - Ladeback. He has used a variety of non-celestial accessories with this look, such as the polar halo, frosty scarf, and sun crest - all carefully chosen, no doubt, in order to complement his color and gear.
What other accessories do you think might look nice instead of those?
And here's a knight who's changed his name and upgraded his look to this awesome emerald ensemble - Thoranhippo. the Biohazrd gun and Anceint Plate shield look fantastic with this outfit.
The Gremlin in Knead mission during the third anniversary of spiral Knights was one of the cuter and more entertaining special missions. With the tokens from this mission you are able to get either a prismatic frosted (cupcake) helm (costume) , or one of three prizes from a special anniversary prize box - a field cap (costume), a plumed cap (costume), or a Grand Topper accessory. (all shown in fancy colors here. )
The Dragon Princess was especially taken with the novel Grand Topper with its unique, quirky look. Matching it with a helm, however, proved to be a tricky business.
The tailed helms seem to look best with it, such as a proto helm, or if you don't have that, a firebreak or emberbreak helm matched with the heavy color of a Grand Topper looks nice, as Zenje shows here or on a spiral round helm.
Infernal-Seraphim put a Regal Grand Tooper on a Storm Dragon Helm to nice effect.
Furynator shows a Regal Grand Topper looks great on a Spiral Demo Helm.
Nanil shows hows the accessory looks on a Black Kat Cowl.
Nergale also shows how nice it goes with a Mask of Seerus.
Not content with the heavy pallette, the Dragon Princess chose to match it with the fancy gray hues of a Fractured Mask of Seerus. Since most of the picture cut off the wonderful sparkler effect at the top, you can see it better here.
Hey on a scale of 1-10 what would you rate my outfit?

The Dragon Princess brings you Zenje's Volcanic Surge outfit
That's my Surge Tailed Helm! I'm glad he put it to good use.
Here's Aremac showing that frosty is fun!
As a knight who loves his mercurial mail I find it hard to find accessories that look good on me and that don't clip into my suit.
Polar accessories look nice and so do eyes of fury but short of them I have trouble finding matches. Due to this I have left it alone, but still I feel drawn to put something nice on.
Could you please give a poor plain mercurial knight some tips on accessories?
Nicoblitz as a galactic guardian
and some of the new Lovely accessories and costumes.
Unfortunately I'm an advocate of "less is more" in costumes, and I wear full Skolver as a base. So, probably not happening.
The Guardian costumes were one of the finest additions to the fashion aspect of the game.
Here's Madventurer in his tricked out Infernal Guardian costume.
hey, Subhazrd here, just to get on and say what a big fan i am of yours and that i enjoy reading your posts. i will however, refrain from putting my costumes on the Thread (i have many and a few more still in the works) mainly cause i just want to be surprised, but also cause i have no idea how to do this. so. yeah. love the thread hope to see more costumes
FN Paszak, USN, Destrukshun, and both Subhazrds
That last post made me sad. when I read guardian I was expecting plate mail!
In other news, I need accessories for my galactic guardian vest/magic hood costume that I'm still unsure of.
Arceys didn't have inspect on, so I can't accurately describe everything, but he sure looked cute in some of the newest costumes and accessories. The whiskers fit the kat helms especially well.
The Dragon Princess just noticed that these new wings are similar to the way Whitephox depicted my regal wings.
Always like seeing people who have an interest in fashion, and I am glad Mawashimono takes the time to gather them up in one place.
Here's a neat combination that the Dragon Princess has never seen before. Chloette's cat-like Bombhead Mask sits atop a Tabard that looks ready to fly off into the Cosmos.
And here's cute Urta with the new Seraphim accesories - boy those wings are small!
Yeah, I'm kinda confused about that too.
I read The Dragon Princess Chronicles, but it's confusing as to if The Dragon Princess is a knight acting like a dragon or a dragon in knights armor and the rank of a Spiral Knight.
The Dragon Princess, Divine Flower of the Orient, Wielder of the Enchanted Lionheart blade and founder of the Lionheart guild, named for her deceased lover (Curse you, Seerus!) is a dragon species of knight (ahhhhhhhbviously, darling) who enjoys sharing her exploits in a Treasure Vault thread title "The Dragon Princess Chronicles" and maintains a fashion appreciation thread (as you well know).
She is often in the Townsquare radiating cuteness and dispensing wisdom and blessings to her many fans and friends.
I think i have a pretty good looking costume
Noxiousnarwhal used to have Prismatic Dragon wings which were purplish since that's his personal color, but the new Dread Wings take the purplish dragon wings to a whole nother level. Choose the right sword and shield and add the purplish Baleful Aura and the Deadly Virulisk set never looked better than this!
And if you want to get intimidated, Cozza-Frenzy looks ready to go medieval on your (bleep). Those eyes are just perfect for that helm - lol. His other look is just too mentally scarring to mention.
Time for summer fun with a few re-skinned weapons and some brand new swim gear armor. We've got sarongs for the female characters and trunks for the fellas. I'm wearing the Dusky Sarong paired with an Arcane Salamander helm.
I have a question
Is Mayaura an alt of yours or did you change your name from Mawa?
Shindyvarrek shows how nice a personal green color looks with various military greenish gear. Too bad the blossom aura doesn't show up a little better here, but the Dragon Princess loves the way it flourishes in Town Square.
You can change your name for 3500 energy (which is not all that much for long time players), which is what I did.
I checked with an alt to make sure this name was available before I bought the ticket.
It resonates with me for a number of reasons: 1) it's close to the first four letters of my old name and nickname (Mawa), 2) it's still somewhat japanesey, but sounds a little more pleasant ( I say it May Aura), 3) i liked the "aura" part cuz it fits in many games, 4) it's easier for people to read, remember, and type ingame.
I also made an alt on the same account with my previous name, which allows me to keep the forum name and protect the brand name :)
The Malachite Musketeer look is one of the most vibrant in the game, with a neon green that really pops out of your screen. If your personal color is green, you can make some great outfits out of these, especially with prismatic accessories like the cat tail in the picture.
Krabby-Patty looks like a squinty-eyed forest dweller with the leafy aura and ancient wings, which generally have a mossy look to them. The use of military green accessories is a good choice. Canteens are a favorite of the Dragon Princess, but the bright green proto crest is also a highly recommended front accessory for the Tabard.
Has the endless wait for the long-delayed gunner update got you seeing red? Well, you're not the only one. The whole Spiral Knights community is experiencing a wave of Raging red costumes. These costumes originally appeared as shiny golden Storm outfits, which looked especially great with regal gear like this.
But if your personal color is red like Red-Galaxy's, then you've got a ton of great options to match with the new Raging costumes.
Another great match for a Raging helm is the Vitasuit Deluxe. Here Riverock shows how nice it looks with a quicksilver helm with an extremely rare and wicked Apocrean Crown.
Good luck and have fun to all those #FashionKnights out there.
just walked past this guy while in haven and thought, " this is a cool costume." So without further wait... Kennergy, who is sporting a Ground Breaker Helm and Armor from the preview event, has these costume items tricked out with some nice accessories. On the helm he's got a Golden Laurel and a Crown of Summer. He's beefed up the armor with Not only a Crest of Summer but also a Sunshine aura (cause you can never have too much sun now can you?) and to top it off he's got a back that protects itself with those Wings of Fury! Yeowch, those will getcha if you're not careful! sorry about the link being at the bottom, im still trying to figure out how to link this thing without it.
Hey! I made a couple of jelly sets as soon as the promo released; thought I'd post at least one of them here.. El-Springer
Forever-Envious had the Dragon Princess feeling just that as he drifted by with his blossom aura, but it was this frosty costume that she liked the best.
Thanks for sharing that with us El-Springer!
That's one of the most vibrant and expensive jelly sets I have seen so far, and you are one of the best designers out there I would say. Keep it up!
The Apocrean costumes are some of the most ominous looking gear in the game, and Dementia-Praecox has done his up right! The newest accessory - the Dread Seal - is the ultimate coup-de-tat to this awesome outfit.
Hey all! Looking for a second opinion or suggestions on an outfit--you can do that in this thread, right?
With the cornucopia of new accessories, is there anything out there to make this look more cat-like (pictures below)?
And what are your thoughts on the Hallow Scarf (Inspect & Map View) vs no scarf (Inspect & Map View)?
Thanks!

I have some things that I've already planned to make/already created that can help with some peeps here and their accessorizing problems. I've got several already made through Spiral-Spy than can help with some looks. :P
@Cheshireccat
I'd go with the scarf since it's more like a pumpkin cat around the base of the head plus that you get something more swishing behind you. :)
@ Holy-Nightmare (Probably late... derp)
I have a current Mercurial set I'm working on that can help you with that problem a bit; I got so far half the accessories in check (Leaving out prismatic wolver tail, shadow scarf, and shadow vertical vents) to being close to done. (Also model is with cyan color btw)

So yeah: That's just SOME, and I mean SOME, ideas I got so far in my mind That I'll be strolling around with currently and in the future; there's plenty more to exploit an- wow this list is long. :S
Aww no worries then :) I'm sorry for being a bit impolite on my reply, as I was looking forward to read what you would write.. And that's a yes, it does flicker with animation :)
