In Tier 3 I use a very archetype guardian setup.
Full volcanic plate mail/helm with my trusty (snailslow) triglav, and a freezing atomizer on the side in case someone needs to cool down. Quite a lot of fun, walking around like a big, slow tank to the point, getting the shield up, whack some wolvers around, heal some friendlies. Still sort of getting used to it though, so scores and captures are still far from perfect, but oh well.

I used to play Lockdown a lot...as Guardian.
I used Guardian because I have no trinkets, so I was afraid to use a Striker. I used Guardian for a really long time, up until recently in fact. With no extra weapon slots either, my weapons of choice were FF and AP.
Now I use Striker, and still have no trinkets. It was an accident really. Some other players and I got pretty well acquainted after playing like 20 games together, and were flipping through classes. I tried out the Striker class, and found I did better than Guardian by a long shot.
As a Guardian, my average damage was more like 5k or 6k. With Striker, no trinkets, my average is more like 9k or 10k, using the same two weapons as Guardian.
Ever since, I've used Striker in LD. Maybe I've fought against so many Strikers that just watching them for hours has helped me know how to play as one, or maybe they're just that much superior to Guardians. Either way, it works better for me. A striker with no trinkets is also a lot more competitive, in the masochistic sense of the word.

Im a Whiner. My preference is to cry and whine all the time about how people use AA because I suck at aiming myself. I also like to cry about bombing in Lockdown because unlike actual pros, I suck at evading bombs :(
Oh lets not forget those damn P2P players who are able to spend money on this game just because they have this thing called a job. Jobs? Pfft, dont need those. I have my parents to pay for my needs. I just wish my mom would just once buy me some CE, grrrr.

Although I am more of a BN player now I do still like to indulge in LD every now and then.
In T2 (my laptop can't really run T3 that well so yeah) I play as a Jelly/Guardian, my main weapon being my SF and my Hammer as a side-arm. Usually I just shield cancel with my SF but if I need to be a bit more mobile because my opponent is competent, I will shield cancel my SF twice then switch to the hammer. It's surprisingly effective.
I used to have some nice UVs on my gear till I rage quit LD and went to BN. I know. Shame on me. I do hate it when people tell me to get Dusker though, like seriously, I do fine with what I have thank you very much. I'd rather be considered to be different than a 'normal' run of the mill clone. I also would feel bad for using the hammer if I wore dusker. Although people still complain about it, like seriously, I'm a Jelly/Guardian. It can't hurt that much.
In T1 I play as a Striker/Gunner or a Recon/Bomber. I enjoy both ways of playing. I will admit I am more competent as a bomber though.

I am forever recon.
I'm probably the ultimate hybrid: I rolled an ASI High DA forever ago and that's since become my main sword, but of my weapons right now, storm driver and valiance get just as much or maybe even more use.
I also tend to carry Electron Vortex with me.
I use the Fallen set, because it gives me ASI for all weapons (works with my gun>sword combos) and it's my PVE gear lol, but since my playstyle varies between guns, I have different loadouts switching gun damage and sword damage trinkets, depending on what kind of players are on the other team.

Nearly 7 months later...
- I still main recon
- I do the best as a pure gunner-recon now (Justifier set, Hail Driver/Storm Driver/Umbra Driver/Valiance), though I'm starting to get back to hybrid roots now that my gunning ability is satisfactory.
I'm pretty much awesome.

I sometimes use recon or striker in gunning because I die less and rarely guardian, sometimes recon and paratically always striker with swords. On a good day, my damage is good (for me!) with swords and thats why I like it.
