I'd love it, but do you know how hard it would be to make that?

I think the easiest way would

I think the easiest way would be to make it in java format. Not only it would be easiest, since the game is in java itself, but also almost all mobile devices support java.

Meh.

Some guy claims to have ported it for Android, but the underlying problem is that mobile devices aren't nearly powerful enough to run Spiral Knights in any usable manner.

We already got it for apple.

We already got it for apple. I'm playing on my macbook pro at this very moment. You should change it to iPhone.

No, plenty of people have noticed (including me) that it would also be incredibly difficult to make a decent interface for Spiral Knights on a mobile platform. It's just that we've seen this topic come up so many times that we're too sick of it to list out all the reasons against it.

I've seen a lot of clones of console games on mobile platforms, so it shouldn't be an impossibility. Imo the big issue is controls, since a lot of combat techniques we utilize with a mouse and keyboard are going to be near impossible to replicate on a touch screen.

As an iPhone dev, that would be an immensely challenging project. I would go with a Spiral Knights aid app. One where you can log in to your account and manage your inventory, check the AH and CE market, buy and sell things in the AH and CE market, and maybe craft

tbh first of all how would we play our steam linked accounts? the steam app only lets u check on ur account no play anything. also i see no reason why it SHOULD be added. ive always seen this game at its best on PC, mac, etc. and as a computer only game and personally i think it would ruin the gameplay because youd be covering the screen with ur thumbs. also do you know how hard it would be to play as a gunslinger like that? imagine DaN. also they would be forced to make the game even more of a PTW because they would need money to support BOTH versions.

Regardless of whether or not the game itself can be ported, the main issue has been addressed multiple times here: Interfacing and data usage. SK has far too many assets to store readily on a device such as a tablet, and even a minimalistic "port" like RoK drained data and battery in one fell swoop.

If Grey Havens were to make a mobile game based on Spiral Knights, it would either have to use a different artstyle altogether or decimate the poly count for the PC models.
