I've noticed that the only proper gunner gear is the gunslinger, but that starts at 3 star. What about a branch of the Skelly gear that would be the Howlitzer series? It could start at 3 star, like the others, but it would be easier to start getting it at 2 star. It could just be the helm, even. The names could be something along the lines of "Dread Howlitzer Head" or "Scary Howlitzer Head". The knight could be looking out through the mouth, like the salamander helmets have. If there would be armor, eh, I'm not sure how it would look, or what it would be called.

Great, an idea that has already been done before; do you have anything to add onto this or are you repeating what already exists? What is different about this "Howlitzer" set/helmet? We already know what it looks like from multiple threads in the past, but what does it do?
