I'm going to try something new here. Please post feedback related to scoring system here! Do you like it better or worse than what we have currently on the live server? Do you feel it makes the game more balanced? Do you feel like it allows for a chance to rebound/comeback? Does it just make the game take longer? Your opinions here, please!
New Scoring System Feedback!
Yeh I love how the games drag on now instead of ending in an instant. It makes the game more fun and you feel like you have to do more work if you want to win. It gives the losing team a chance to become the underdogs and win when the game ends or even tie.
I really like the new scoring system. Time actually runs out now before scoring makes it all the way. I have a feeling this will be more of the norm now when it gets released to the public.
It makes a chance that the losing team can overcome the points and still win.
I would have to disagree with everyone so far. I do not like the new scoring system. I like the idea of forcing us to defend our already captured control points, but the game drags on far too long.
I would completely disagree with Jenny. If the teams were balanced, then this would be a welcome addition. But because Lockdown teams are always one sided, it just drags out the losing.
And by dragging the game out, means it will take longer to collect coins, thus harder to get new items and earn money.
My advice would be to find a way to encourage us to protect our current control points, without making the game drag on forever.
Yes, this is great- as Dispensor-Problems says, the games are more even.

I was on the losing team, behind by about 200 points and by the end, we had caught up and actually won.
I find the system to be fine, It gives the team that may have started off poorly a good chance to catch up.
I do love the fact that the matches are longer, It makes for much funner games as you have more time per match
Oh, of course there will be the odd time here and there. But you have to remember we are only playing against twenty different people (if that). And from my experience tonight, these people are pretty evenly matched (also consider we have unlimited gear). Compare that to the real game. Think of how many times you have had an even match. I honestly doubt this will help this at all.
Also, no one seemed to mind the fact that they are losing money with this new addition. Haha. This game makes it hard enough to earn money, please don't make it harder.
Actually, I did an analysis in a different thread and I found that all games will hit 9 minutes because it's impossible to get 900 or 500 points before the time limit ends...
Though, I'm not sure how the points for a 5-point match accrue because that wasn't told to us (and i didn't really watch the points during a match, so my assumptions may be wrong.
Has anyone ever finished a game before the 9-minute mark? I haven't.
I have. Once or twice. But it was only with thirty seconds left.
It definitely adds a chance for a team to rebound; I had to keep on my "A" game because the tables could easily turn on us.
But I think you should test this on the regular server because everyone basically had ultimate armor and weapons, which people don't have in the normal game.
I like the idea, but now it seems the games last TOO long. Yes, it is more balanced, and gives the other team a chance to come back and win, but I don't like the idea of getting down to 50 seconds or less at the end of every single match.
I love it. Thanks to this system, it is easier to make a comeback on the leading team, now that maximum point accumulation has been reduced from 15 to 9, and 25 to 15. Sure, the games last a little longer, but short games aren't fun in the first place. Well, I suppose not everyone are going to agree to longer games, but personally I am very pleased with the new scoring system as it is.
Though if the time-limit starts becoming a problem as mentioned by Sypsy (I honestly wouldn't know, I rarely check it) then you might need to lengthen it, increasing the length for how long a game can potentially last, or lower the amount of points required for one or both of the map types.
Am not a fan of the new system, as it means all matches go on for much longer. (Including the ones where you get stomped!)
A little worried people might enjoy it on test because the matches feel fairer, but it reality it's just that we all have equal gear now and nobody can CE rev - it's not the system that is more fair, but rather the gear setup.
Almost all of our matches got down to at least the last minute, even ones where one team was clearly dominating the other. It kind of makes capping feel less worthwhile, when you look at the score and see you're still barely ahead of the other team.
Biggest potential downside I see with changing this is that on the actual server, where teams are very often imbalanced, a losing team now has to wait 6 minutes or more for their spawn camping to end, instead of having it over relatively quickly with the current system. It might lead to a lot of people ditching very quick if their team is losing - it will be much faster to quit and join queue again than to wait 6 minutes for the enemy team to stop camping you.
Perhaps some sort of boosted rate to point earnings if a team can "Lock down" all the points might be a good middle ground?
In the normal game it felt so one sided always , it's much better.
I really enjoy how the points are more tied than normally. Makes it feel more fair.
Plus the awesome music that plays when time almost runs out is more common!
