Apparently people likes to bump old forum threads just to annoying people who rages about that practice. (Example)

Would be nice if the forums were configured to automatically close threads with 3 or more months since the last reply. Enough time for long standing threads to stay alive, and prevent people commenting on year-old ones.

Although it is a bit

Although it is a bit annoying, suppose someone in the Tresure Vault wants to continue a story he/she wrote a while back because he/she was very busy?

How about 6 months.

And couldn't they recreate it?

Or it should be bumped by friends...

Better idea- give a warning

Better idea- give a warning to players attempting to necrobump. That way, if its their story, they can disregard it.

Said warning would consist of a page saying something along the lines of-

"Warning! This thread is X months old! Please reconsider posting in it, as you may be penalized with a ban!"

Sometimes old threads have stuff that is useful to current events. Sometimes the discussion needs to be reopened

Some threads may simply be linked in later threads. HANDS OFF MY EVERFROST VALLEY.

If an old thread has useful

If an old thread has useful data, that should be in the wiki, isn't good to be buried in the forum. Also isn't that hard to link/refer in a new thread if needed.

Old threads can be Fanfics which may be anytime be continued (I will do chapter 1 tomorrow, Valve Time)

cut and paste your fanfic. It shouldn't take you 3 months to create new content neways.

Either that or move threads to graveyard after 3 months, if they remain untouched for another month, lock them.
