On the issue of the actual thread, I'd love to see it go up that high at this point. The higher it goes, the faster OOO brings it down for us. I'm soon to start stockpiling cr too; I saved up a few thousand CE, crafted right before it rose, and have a good 1.3K CE left over to play on for a month.

The ce went over 10k cr once a little after snarbo came out.
Hell broke loose and some dude, i dont remember the name, bought 40k ce and then lowered the prizes over the peroid of a few days.
Many ppl helped there. But the main thing that helped was the coming in of steam into the picture!

i would prefer the prices down
For players like me who can do vana run 8k ce is not a big problem..But for starters who wanna make 3 star gear i think its a little hard..I think many players will leave the game because of it...I dont like the fact that some people want to sell higher their ce.i think that these guys(sellers) have already full 5 star gear why dont the give the chance to new players to upgrade their gear?If this continue less people ll join this game and eventually the server will be dead...They make(admins) an event with free elevators to motivate more people to play and the next day bang the ce 1k up its pretty funny :P.

I don't think it will pass 10k. Even the FSC grinders will find it unprofitable. The forums be [sarcasm]fun[/sarcasm] if that ever happens, assuming Danger Missions don't offer higher payouts.
I think it will cap at around 8.7k The current discount isn't doing much to lower it down, although it is slightly affecting it.

The issue with the economy is that CE sinks are too effective while cr sinks are not very effective. Let's look at it this way:
CE sinks
- Elevators (everybody plays the game obviously)
- Unbinding (every time a 5* weapon is unbound, 4k CE is sucked out of the economy)
- Extra item slots (anyone wanting to optimize is gonna get some of those)
- Crafting (you gotta spend a large amount of energy if you want a better item)
- Shadow Keys (1800 CE sucked out of the economy whenever people do an SL)
Crown sinks
- Appearance modifiers (I would NEVER consciously blow fifty thousand cr just to make my avatar look better)
- Featured Auctions (like I said, not many people are gonna blow all that money on making their avatars look better)
- UV rolling (regardless of your preferred weapon class, you can always get your offensive stats to Very High or above with armor, shield, and trinkets alone, so you wouldn't need to roll many UVs anyway)
- Lockdown (not many people play this, and some of the money that goes in comes back out)
- Crafting (amount of cr spent is insignificant to the amount of CE spent)
- Emberlight/Moorcroft travel fees (these are insignificant and don't even apply to missions)
- Recipes (again, amount of cr spent on the recipe is insignificant to the amount of CE spent on crafting the item)
...
If it goes on like this, then the CE price will continue to inflate slowly, unless something is done about it.
agreed. i believe after 8.5k sales wont be up and luckly some sellers will bring it back down :D
anyway while this is happening, im NOT buying any CE at all, whatsoever. 8D
just reached the 98k mark and working on getting 150k :D so keep making CE price high so i wont feel like getting any :D
