Contri is a pro.
What is a pro player?
well, pro is a person who is prefessional at something. Therefore he is actually making money out of what he is doing, so in that case, none us are pro...we are all bad at something in SK, whether it is soloing, FSC, gunning/bombing or maybe LD.
-Someone who doesn't die as often/You can rely on him or her to survive in clutch situations
-Able to handle his or her own load and comes in to assist with yours
-Makes good judgement calls and contributes to the team
Everything else is icing. If you can't live, you can't play.
is a player strong enough to carry the entire team, but humble enough to tailor his/her strength so that they still feel useful
A pro, in reality, would have to make a living off this game. Which I would love to happen (eSports FTW), but sadly it's not the case. As is, someone who is "pro" is generally viewed as being good at the game, and fairly mature.
How is this necro?
I mean... This thread's been on for only like almost hours.
Anyways, my answer's similar to that of Neodasus'.
Yes, I saw the date. Buuuuut... What I meant was the *current* comments.
You need waste hours of your valuable time of your life sitting in front of a computer interacting with coding made by someone who wants your money in exchange for giving you the feeling of accomplishment when you have indeed been completely unproductive in the time that you have played the game. If you care to think about it, it is kind of like drugs.
Someone who doesnt complain about everything and helps other knights without teasing or laughing at how "noobish" or "weak" or "rich" another knight is. They play to enjoy the experience with the other knights.
But having 5* gear and propper experience isnt bad to have either.
...but all together a total mess that leads to misunderstandings.
Pro - short for professional.
Being a professional would require you to get paid to do what you are a professional at. A professional is getting paid for what he/she's doing because he/she does it good.
Saying pro to a Spiral knights player means you think that player has the skills required to be a professional.
Pro = skilled player
OP asks what I think a pro is. So I'll tell you what I think a skilled player is like.
A skilled player focuses on speed in PvE, because it's already simple enough to do safely every time.
A skilled player knows how to aim and aims on his/her own.
A skilled player knows enough not having to look things up in the Spiral knights wiki.
A skilled player has good UVs NOT because he/she needs them, but to maximize his/her already amazing skills.
A skilled player has a slight foresight based on experience when it comes to player and monster movements.
A skilled player can behave like a [retracted] [retracted] in public and in the game chat, and it will not change how skilled he/she is.
A person/player who doesn't measure himself/herself to how much cr he/she has or how good their gear is. It depends on how they actually play. How they treat other players. And how they enjoy the game. It's as simple as that. -w-
Pro is everyone at the Coliseum and Arsenal. Of course, I'd prefer the Arsenal any day over the Coliseum.
But...what about the cool, casual players who throw out thousands of crowns to beggars and randoms alike? I thought I liked those guys more...
