Also, check out the "Shadow Lair" article on the wiki. It gives brief recommendations for the kinds of armor and weapons that you want in each Shadow Lair. That advice, combined with the wiki page "Armor", should let you figure it all out.

SUNSHAAAAAAAAARDS
Anything that complements your playstyle while providing Piercing or Shadow defense. Shadow takes priority, because Howlitzers suck, but if you can't, Piercing is still good to have for the Wolvers and the Boss.

on top of searching, here is the loadout I used. It is a good loadout if you are sword based.
Item (benefit)
Crown of the Fallen (normal, shadow, poison, ASI)
Skolver Coat (normal, pierce, Sword DMG Med)
Barbarous Thorn Shield (Sword DMG Med)
Voltedge (for undead)
Barbarous Thorn Blade (for beasts)
Voltaic Tempest (better than freeze in my opinion)
Dark Brair Barrage (great for packs of wolvers)
Elite Slash Module (sword DMG Med)
Elite Bomb Focus Module (bomb CTR Med)
This loadout works if you have someone else to take care of the howlitzers. Just stay out of their range and cleanup wolvers and zombies.
