That point where they collide is the pinpoint and it fluxates naturally based on need and how many are being sold. IF the need outways how much there is, price will naturally rise! Now what you are advising is a putting a roof on the economic system. Doing this will create a bridge between the demand and supply and will lead to a MASSIVE fluxuation that will kill the economic system. The US government has tried doing the same thing with gasoline decades ago. Gas immediately became severely scarce and companies stopped producing because it became more of a loss than a gain. This is why capping is a bad idea. It kills an economic system that has already been established.
