STOP Bringing Newbs into FSC
Dont post other comments that section is useless..the solution is a million times posted..chill and lock ur party or invite only guys you want to be with in fsc!
And in the end,the purpose in a game is to make you happy not angry...so chill and enjoy ur time...
I'm personally encouraging this OP's mindset, in a sense.
Though you're free to run them, they're generally better off actually getting used to the game and its mechanics by them actually playing the game instead of coasting in FSC.
I know I wouldn't be able to do much if I did everything like that, so I stuck with what I thought was my current skill+gear ceiling and did the daily grind as practice.
In turn, I feel I'm more of a contributing player in any situation a party would need because I'm well-learned and I browsed for advice and information regarding monsters, their behaviors, and learning the patterns of the individual dungeon floors.
And I did all this alone, never once relying on any higher-tier players.
All in all, it'd be better for them if you let them actually play through missions/arcade themselves rather than have them be a heat mule/crowns leech, otherwise their gear will belie their experience, much to their frustration in the end.
I can understand the daily grind getting to people and that's fine but new players really shouldn't be involved in that sort of thing, I'd personally at least recommend them at 4 stars for the sake of them actually learning before ever carrying them through FSC but again, you're free to do as you wish.
This is simply my opinion on the matter.
Newbs are how I heat up my gear. They get more crowns than RJP, I get more heat.
I like going into FSC in a Proto set. It's hilarious to me that it takes a lot of effort combined with my other party members also in Proto gear to take down one of the siege machines.
Yes, I hate noobs coming into my perfect party. They do not even know how to do anything correctly, and SOMETIMES, they don't even listen. Fine, The arrogant noobs are learning, they might be heat generators (lol), but I really don't like them coming. All it does is make FSC 10x harder. A lot of the noobs listen, but then a lot of them don't. I'm not just talking about those T1 and T2 noobs, there are T3 noobs lurking around not knowing what to do.
I just think it's unfair we T3 people have to deal with these unexperienced people who aren't supposed to be even here.
You might say "Take a Chill Pill" so might as well. /me swallows a Chill Pill
Okay! nvm. Forget what I just said.
You complain about newbs, yet say "Jelly King"
Hypocrite much?
Orangeo said, "Newbs are how I heat up my gear. They get more crowns than RJP, I get more heat."
Drag your own alts. Then you get *everything*.
Wow this thread is still going! I didnt think that would happen.
@marthedge
I agree with your view and I have also made a similar statement before. Not sure if other people saw it or not, I only take people who are 4.5 stars and above. Meaning half of their gear must be 5 stars. (people who are close enough) Again, if someone really wants to help the newb, I think it is best for anyone of us to go down to their own lvl in their own mission that they have trouble with.
ex. The Guantlet, Silent legion, Romulus twins, Jelly King boss or whatever. If the mission is easy, then just let them do that mission by themselves.
You only have so much mist energy a day. You don't have to go to every single invite.
Drag all the noobs, get all the heat
charge fee for bringing their asses for the ride
instaprofit
@Batabii: Most people refer to the boss as Jelly King, including a lot of 5* pros I know and my GM.
We know what they mean.
Why the hell do you feel the urge to make such a massive fuss about the term?
"Some of them come in and ask you for tab when they "don't want to use their CE" or "pretends they dont have enough energy" you can look at the icon next to their name and see if they have enough. They shouldn't join a game if they didn't have enough energy in the first place!" just here to say that only shows if they have 1 energy or not. 75% sure. *note not tier three, though i am pretty good*
I've had some bad experiences with n00bs in FSC. Recently, a woefully underpowered fella joined at the end of d27. We asked him if he was ready for this, his response was "yeah, I did this before". He then swung his Tempered Calibur as a demonstration.... At this point we knew he wasn't ready. Once down there we gave him instructions on how to play. We told him to just put out fires, and to NOT attack Vanaduke (he didn't have anything useful against Vanaduke). He was warned that if he attacked Vanaduke, he would be kicked. We started the fight, and he proceeded to immediately run up to Vanaduke, and slash away with his sword. He was immediately killed. We revved him, and warned him not to do it again. After the mask stage, he put out a few of the fireballs.... then ran up and started slashing again. He died immediately. We kicked him.
I don't care if you're running with friends, ask them before joining, and listen to instructions. But please don't join random parties, and proceed to ignore all instruction.
I know not to go there because of my extreme lack of skill (Even though I have all 4/5* equips), and the fact I need better shadow Defense (My greatest weakness! Ack)
I went there twice, once I did alright but timed out (With other people, and I followed their advice), and the other I got to vana by myself and died a horrible death.
I just grind Snarbs and ICMF for heat/crowns because I can never die in those...
From experience, dragging alts is easier than idiots through FSC. Alts profit you. Alts don't die every half second. You control alts.
NEWBS, on the other hand, just lack experience. I'm more than happy to guide them through, provided they don't do anything outlandishly stupid and listen to my advice.
Step 1 - Start Party, Invite only
Step 2 - /afk Nope.
Step 3 - Invite a friend if he wants to come
and guess what, problem solved!
Friend of mine and myself enjoy grabbing a newbie in super low star gear and dragging them through FSC for their reactions. Occasionally they do marvelously well. Occasionally they're really fun company. Occasionally they're a pain, but whatever, we're just doing it for the laughs anyway. Often they end up learning something or other.
On the other hand, the 3* to partially 5* acquaintances who pleads for FSC runs hoping to get their insufficiencies covered... Those are not enjoyable FSC company.
Carrying a newbie who knows they have a hard time contributing but came along because they were invited is sooo much more fun than needing to carry someone who begs to be brought there, even if they have kind of almost appropriate gear.
Blargh, I dunno. The way the OP starts by defining the difference between noobs and newbs and then proceeds to blame newbs of stuff that is blatantly noob mistakes irks me. :/
"what if they put on proto?"
Proto isn't really a big deal (unless you mean -full- proto and nothing else). I've run FSC innnn... All three breaker lines, with an iron buckler, in seraphic, with polaris as my only 5* weapon (and downed Vana in a duo using only polaris and volcanic pepperbox), etc, etc. Delicious heat for all of the things. It's all about being able to dodge while dealing damage.
FREE HEAT!!! :D
and loads of people try to kill each other.
I was once in a 3 man run, and we all needed heat. so we were trapping each other, getting trojans to smash each other, running away, nitronome spamming, etc.
all dat friendly stuff
ive ran vana so many times now i enjoy watching newbs get smashed about! hell sometimes i join in if partys being all 'professional' but there was a noob with pulsar today that well can u guess? noobs and pulsar = zombies in ya face! anoying after while, so i see ya point!
> Go Solo
> Lock Party
Problem solved. If you're pro enough to carry 3 under levels, you should be pro enough tp handle FSC alone. Vana is "iffy".
I have to agree, but mainly because of experience from other games (as I am a "newb" myself at SK)
I hate it when someone asks your advice (ex. "Should I get avenger or faust) and you respond, but instead of considering it they just decide to do something like "ok... yeah I'll just get the cautery sword."
Also, there are times when you just wish that you could somehow control both of your knights at the same time, just because they keep making mistakes that you would never make, and then die, and you are forced to revive them. If you don't revive them, you appear to be hostile, and I try to be friendly. And if you do revive them, then they will still die.
I agree with most of the comments (though some were exaggerated).
Basically, this is a thread for people to rant and let out their anger. So stop telling people to take a chill pill, they are cooling off by writing about how stupid their party members were.
And why bother posting in this thread again?
Ye are fined for necromancing. 10$ please.
N-N-N-Necro!
Now that the obligatory pointing out of the obvious is done, I completely agree with everything Sketman said
Edit: Thunderbog, this is not the first time you have ninja-posted me, and I am sure it will not be the last.
Forsooth, sayeth I that newbs should learn from volunteering players that are willing to mentor them on depths to depths, since all the boss levels is always the same.
If ye're tad hatred to them, lock the party and either solo or invite 'professionals of slaying' friends ye know. :/
(like I do from above, otherwise time wasting made me go pubstomps)
This was truly amusing. Well done. I have never seen such a small inconvenience receive so much unneeded hate. If you get someone who brings a noob or newb, ask them politely to leave. If they don't abide by your wishes, politely or impolitely, then just leave and search for a new party. No need to write your Declaration of Rage.
Not really agreeing with you on everything, if someone is nice and I feel I'm good enough to carry them I don't care if they're 2-3 stars and wanna come to Vana, but one point in particular really gets on my nerves every time:
"-Messy revives. They die every 5 min or so. If you don't revive them they complain and annoy you throughout the game asking to be revived. Nobody has unlimited revives."
A million [frakking] times of this.
Had my fair share of FSC or other T3 places where a 2* got invited by the party leader, died in one-hit and then kept begging for res.
Once, for a particularly annoying guy, I even died on purpose while he was still alive to check his dmg, it was 14dmg/hit whereas I dealt over 300dmg/hit, next time he died and started begging I told him he should just stay down because wasting our health to revive him just to see him die again wasn't gonna help our cause, expecially since he dealt 14 dmg compared to our 250-300dmg, he then started insulting me.
If there's one thing that ticks me off is people who don't understand their position even after it's been explained to them.
"A million [forkful] times of this.
Fixed that for ye.
-------
Like I said,
"If ye're tad hatred to them, lock the party and either solo or invite 'professionals of slaying' friends ye know."
Otherwise, fight back the insults from them.
"We got the skills and might, not ye. Ye're here to loot, not to fight, so be quiet and enjoy yer free money."
Helpful enough. If still ignorant as ever, a potential kick solves any problem, we don't need rookies that love to brag. We only accept the willing to get carried as a friendly and socialable person. If these don't ever help, don't ever bother going to Firestorm Citadel. Settled.

I was 3-4* when when I first did Vanna, and I died too much I'm sure, but I also did not beg to be rev'd, and I also tried to hang back and gunsling so that I could rev the 5s every chance they needed it. I took their advice about how to play the levels, watched, followed them closely, and did what they did, and tried to help, and when they told be to do, or not do something, I followed their instructions.
≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
Now Technically I was a 'noob' but that did not matter, because since I am not a Douche, I still was a good teammate for them, not the best, but I did help. My clan now ( Tier Zero ) is amazing, we have legit guys who are happy to bring along newer players, and don't give them any crap unless they keep doing something bad, or don't listen to directions.
≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
I have played with PLENTY of TERRIBLE teammates who where 4 and 5 stars, and every bit as R-tarded as the "noobs" that the butt-hurt OP was crying about. I'm sure you all now the ones I mean, the losers who stop fighting the monster they were against, just to run past you to try and poach the drops of the monster YOU just killed, also leaving you open to the pursuing attack of the monster senior r-tard just abandoned.
≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
IT IS NOT ABOUT `noob` or not, it's about if you are good teammate, or a scumbag.
≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
THAT IS ALL , THEN END , THIS IS ALL THAT NEEDS TO BE SAID ON THE SUBJECT
≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
You do know that it's impossible to poach drops, right? Crowns, heat, and tokens are mirrored between all party members, and the material/equipment drops are pre-selected.
↑ Malsvir-Branea
A) Congratulations on completely missing the point of my post.
B) I know that most drops are shared (heat is NOT btw) but that does not seem to stop some players from douchily diving for a few dropped crowns, as if they won't get them either way..... So , dumb & douchey playing , I guess.
I have used about 700ce on reving at FSC and people still kick me, they never seem to see my kindness.Once i was about to leave the party as a friend needed me so i reved the 2 dead guys and then left.I remember reving at vana a dude for 360 energy. there are only like 4 players i know that will let me in /sad and you guys are like so Evil!
Werent u guys noobs once?
Didnt u guys admire Pros when u guys were noobs?
Moral Dont judge a book by the cover,Treat others as how you would be like treated
I'm really confused about why you are so angry with beginners (the term "newb" seems a bit rude). I've never had any problems with them, I actually like having them around =) Reminds me of myself when I just started playing and was amazed by everything XD.
As a 4* who frequently jumps into guildie/friend FSCs, I want to say thanks to those who carry me. I use nothing but my Prisma Driver (Undead high) the whole way through, and I usually don't take any slag damage. It's all about experience.
Why are people complaining about beginners when they are just insulting their past selves? In a way you are putting blame on yourself as well........
solo everything. i think theres only 2 missions i havent soloed....terminal melt down and silent legion....and GIM
I was invited to my first T3 level (prestige mission) today.
I asked my friends not to invite me back until I have better equipment.
IMO that simple request solves half the problem.
Back around january and I had 3*, my guildies (I was in resistance back then) let me go with them into FSC. Sure, died alot but I learned a bit:
-Don't go near the shadow fire. Touch=Instant Death
-Always block after attacking.
-Don't go in the rocket puppy room. Ever. (Even to this day when I have 5*, I still avoid the room)
I understood all the orders ("Don't go in the rocket puppy room!" "Just throw water globes at Vana!") so I was *sort* of a good team mate. Proves to show that not all people are douchebags.
I do it because it gets lonely when soloing Vana. I don't bring them to other people's games and anyone who is at the right level that decides to join me is doing it on their own free will.
I don't care if they die, I don't revive them. If they mess up something too much I just kick them. I have not had someone mess up anything too bad since they end up dying on most of the hard parts.
I have notice that several of them are immature kids with no manners, I just kick these ones. I have no tolerance for that kind of stuff.
-They go into FSC to get crowns. It's ANOTHER reason why the CE market is so high.
I actually don't really care xD Sorry guys.
-The game lags more when people join games. Inviting 1 person means inviting another person. The newb's friend will have other friends join regardless if they want them to or not. Not everyone have fancy computers! Lag kills all pros. We all know that.
I've never once had this happen at all ever xD
-Some of them come in and ask you for tab when they "don't want to use their CE" or "pretends they dont have enough energy" you can look at the icon next to their name and see if they have enough. They shouldn't join a game if they didn't have enough energy in the first place!
I just don't tab them. If they don't have the mist/ce then they don't come. Simple as that
-It never ends! If you let 1 in, more will come! It is like giving free crowns to a beggar. They don't stop and it gets worst and worst.
All of my runs are invite only :]
All I managed to do on my mission was set my teammates (all of them) on fire
I have encountered many newbs in FSC, sometimes I need to carry 3 of them, I do have enough skill to carry all of them up to D27 end but sometimes not vana, due to my impatiency. xD
Most of them aren't a problem, I ignore them, they want me to revive, and I still ignore them... If they annoy me a lot I'll simply ask for a kick - if someone is generous enough to CE revive. ;/
There was one time where my friend and I had to carry 2 newbs through vana, not reviving them and finishing the match. After we killed vana we both got kicked, the reason was being a selfish ###k and a deushbag (yes, he can't spell). That was funny and amusing. :)
pack mule? haha! try always being asked "have u found PK yet?". im not sure i understand the pack mule thing UNLESS they havent unlocked the mission yet and even so a 4* or close enough is fine its 3* and under u have to worry about. as for the economy thing its getting worse cause ppl aren't buying CE with real money to sell on depot cause the game is boring for them cause theres no new content worth theyre time... thats why when a new set of prize boxes come along it goes down a bit. crowns might have a slight effect on the economy but not enough to warrant the hate. also like ik someone else said how else do u get ur 5* stuff fast enough? grind the T1-T2 bosses untill u have full 4* then find someone to take u to vanaduke and get ur 5* stuff and if u want them to be better at vanaduke then they have to learn... and learning requires doing so expecting to make a master out of someone who just started FSC is nuts. and not all noobs are really noobs... they can be alts or really good gamers who learn quickly so thats another factor. ive been to vana before with no more than shivermist buster and blitz needle (no swords) and done quite well so really i say a first good weapon for vana runs is the strike/blitz needle guns. noobs (or newbs if ur THAT picky) get too much flak sometimes anyway. everyone thinks all noobs are annoying but maybe thats only cause they non-annoying noobs keep quiet and to themselves. A nob is also kind of like a child in that it must be led and taught otherwise what will it learn? everytime i start a new MMO i start off by asking around for guilds that can help me learn about the game and become pro :P. and honestly if ur annoyed by ur friends randomly joining then yeah lock the party or something... one could ask why ur friends with a noob when u hate them so much in the first place... i agree that 3*s and under probably should not attempt vanaduke but when u reach 4* that 5000crs/800ce price for crafting 5*s starts to make it necessary to get as much as u can... and just as a side note its silly to kick out azure armor users... understand its the free recipes they got so they dont have to pay 25k for a frickin' recipe alone... + ive been in a duo run with an azure... no deaths... so i hope this gives everyone a better understanding of how some noobs (or newbs >_>) might feel when u act prejudice against them and dont allow them to grow up into the pro players of tomorrow... and again the economy is bad cause CE isnt being bought cause OOO does mostly box promotions now instead of actual updates... so whine to them about making something awesome and new to get buyers back and stop making excuses to pick on noobs.
I'm not going to bash what people already said. There are enough pro's and con's thrown out about FSC. What I do wonder, is the complaint about the CE price that goes up because more people FSC...
Some people said there was a steady influx of people into the game. But the CE sale could probly have remained the same. If you do not have enough resources, the prices usually go up. That's the standard issue of an inbalanced economy.
I doubt the shear hight of the CE price should be blamed on more people playing, but also maybe on lesser people buying CE to sell it through the CE market making the price go up.
---
There were moments that events made people buy more CE. The used to be price (back then) dropped from 6,5k to 5,5k.
O.O.T:
people seem to be particulary annoying about grammar. They expect everyone that isn't American to type it more perfect (than the average American.. not difficult i.m.o.). What happened to the "whoa, we can understand each other?"
@luckyle i think u spend way too much on revives xD but i agree u cant judge a book by its cover and its still a human being so treat it kindly :P.
@tacohz I have seen my heat meter go from empty to a tad bit full when i never grab a single heat drop in a party so it IS shared as far as i can tell but i do agree that u dont need to be a noob to be terrible and u dont need to be a 5* to be pro.
@bohhty nice post bro :].
@incoherrant also nice post funny idea to take noobs to FSC for reactions xD also yes 3* to 5* peeps can be just as jerkish as some noobs so it doesnt really matter... short story: i was on a vana run oncw where these bronies wanted to convert me to my little pony... after rejecting the offer several times they call me insecure and that they wont judge me if i watch it... thats not the point! its my choice! i watch it or i dont watch... i personally am not brony or anti-brony but its stuff like that that makes the whole rest of the run quite awkward and uncomfortable.
@Orangeo fair trade off
i have replied to a few comments cause honestly i couldn't stop talking about this post and to be quite frank... it makes me want to invite more noobs to FSC just to defy the point xD but seriously in life some will agree with u and others wont and when they dont they will say something about it... but it boils down to deciding whos right and actually listening to the other person and not being one-sided... im done :).
I often invite friends who want to earn a some crowns, and it isn't that bad. It's actually good practice! I can easily complete the vana fight solo, but with more people in my team, the challenge is tougher, and that's the way I like it! ( Technically I carry my alt too so in fact I'll carry two friends and an inactive alt ^_^ )
@Tacohz, crowns, heat and any minerals picked up are shared evenly around the team, ( just two days ago a friend I took on a FSC run learnt that for the first time XD ) so nobody ever misses out on that. The only things not shared are materials, which are randomly distributed amongst team members, random item drops (I cried when I got an emberbreak shield after my vana fight T_T) and pickups suck as the vials and health caps. So in all honesty, the only real competition between party members are for the pickups, everything else is shared =D
i hate being ask to take someone to FSC its getting annoying or when i try to do one run cause i need tokens and people that are not prepared join and monsters sneeze on them and they die then complain cause its our fault that they are not ready.
