STOP Bringing Newbs into FSC
How do people even find these old threads... I thought we buried them deep enough.
Anyways thanks.. just looking at all the old forumers satisfy my somewhat inner need...
I think I remember when this thread first popped up. Or maybe when it was necroed the first time.
I remember avoiding it!
I wonder if we'll ever see some of these names again. Maybe when a big update hits.
All the threads that I find interesting enough to post something on are from 2012 or older. First, how could this happen? Second, why would it happen?
Newb = someone who is bad, but has potential to be really good
Noob = someone who is bad and has no potential to ever become descent.
No it doesn't? Newb=Someone new to the game, or to the thing they're doing. Noob= Someone obnoxious, rude, inconsiderate, "le epic troll", or other annoyances.
btw just go solo. It's way more fun :D
Omg. So all this time I have been calling the new comers to Don't Starve rude, obnoxious and inconsiderate?
*rushes back to Don't Starve steam forum and begins changing every "noob" word to "newb"*
Or you can tell them to "git gud", that is what gaint dad says every time he slays an invader.
I haven't read the entire post, but in my opinion,
Ye need to hold yer horses mate! (•ิ_•ิ)
It's just a game, play for fun, yes for FUN └(^o^)┐
I think ye play this game too much, like a pirate drinking Rum for hours, HA!
Ye need to take a break from yer Virtual life.
I always run solo and always have my party locked. If I play with someone who does not listen (one time someone woke up the rocket puppy after I explained to them to wait and watch me how to avoid it lol) and they die the death, well, they'll just have to sit there then, won't they? :P Seriously though, I run FSC with Norezilla (who is super awesome) or my guildmate Poetry if I ever want to run it with someone.
So basically if you don't like running with new people, then lock your party. Calm down and play for fun.
I had to actually do a complex mathematical equation to find that answer.
I agree with Ribbita.
Though this post is like 2 years old :P
Just run solo or make private parties that only allow friends. If unwanted people join, just ask them nicely to leave, or otherwise if they die, so be it.
I also agree that Nore is awesome.
He's the GM in our guild :D
yay
Just consider them each as one of the NPC knights your have to rescue that talk and roam more than fight. I enjoy training them sometimes. But usually they just follow me around.
Just another solo mode with perks.
Lots more "noob" players since the energy system change. I mean, they are really horrible compared to before, where players were more cautious with the limited (mist) energy we got daily. I'm competent enough to not worry about who joins my party or what gear they have. But most of the time nowadays, they die by the second floor of fsc/vanaduke and just leave. This is annoying as i prefer parties to speed kill the mission. If they could just survive until the third floor it wouldn't be much of a bother since i know i can play body guard for them in the later arenas. Or even sell them a spark if they really wanna continue, after going so far. But newer (since energy change) "noobs" players are really unreliable to last the mission.
Its easy to, no newbs to deal with.
Running missions solo is considerably longer than with a team. Big time saver with a decent team, D25 especially.
Also, helping players who need crowns and/or experience helps the overall game. I remember having friends help me thru fsc/vanaduke as a 3* to get a handle on the difficulty to expect and raise my bar. I've returned the chance to others as i was given. How will you learn if no one is there to teach you? I learnt a whole lot from other players - from tactics to details of how many fire tiles are possible at any one time while fighting Lord Vanaduke.
....why'd you bump this? And on that whole for-fun thing, I enjoy playing games for fun, but you really shouldn't be telling people how they should play a game.
It'd be nice if this thread just died quietly.
Bring more newbs to FSC.
This is exactly why I just play on solo or go on runs with my sensei. We have the party locked, and only certain people are allowed, even then we don't let anyone join, as with less people it goes faster, time equals money. The faster you can do FSC, the faster you can sell what you buy with tokens. My sensei makes about 220+kcr from every 20 runs.
A group of defender elites and I recently beat the FSC and I got to see the new treasure room before anyone in my guild did.
(FYI they almost never died and they never whined about lag like a lot of vanguards who play FSC)
First time i did FsC i was being carried while using 2* gear. Only days after i started playing. He had no complaints against what i was doing the entire time... :P
Currently rank 8-2 getting my last item to 5*...
Bring noobs to FSC, i do it all the time. It's good for them, they will now how to not m1 w all the time.
If they keep dying, so what? Don't let that slow you down.

The title should be "STOP Bringing noob/newbs into FSC"
I mean, who doesnt hate the nagging of T1 players asking for money, weps, and whatnot.
