I'm asking on behalf of myself and many others to the people who sell energy for crowns. Please will you stop raising the prices for energy! i mean, 8,363 crowns fro 100 energy is a rip off! its not fair, and many of us can't afford it, so please will you lower the prices back to somewhere around 7,000 or 6,500 like it used to be. You can buy around 7,000 crowns for 100 energy, so why can't it be the other way around as well?
Energy prices
"I'm asking on behalf of myself and many others to the people who sell energy for crowns."
If you sell energy for crowns, then don't you want CE prices to be as high as possible? Or does it cause your customers to avoid buying altogether? I don't get it.
Edit: I missed the word "to". Never mind.
"You can buy around 7,000 crowns for 100 energy, so why can't it be the other way around as well?"
Three Rings extracts a fee, that is paid by the person selling energy. It has always been this way. This causes a *small* discrepancy between the selling and buying prices for CE.
Actually blame nobody. I want to get a good haul this time around and am loving the price of energy. Since a promo won't hit for a while, this peak is going to be very lucrative. Then once a promo hits, it should plummet greatly again, and I will profit.
@ OP
Don't Care anymore. Go whine in the graveyard while we raise the price some more.
Oh and wasn't it at something like 7300 the other day, or did I quit too early?
what if accessories dont get destroyed when removed then we can resell them
@Sparrow Please read other CE-related threads before posting stuff like this.
@Flash Auction House did not destroy the market, it merely made trading easier. The raise in crafting costs made the game a little longer to get to 5*, which can be viewed as good or bad. Also, there is nothing wrong with the Advanced Training Hall if it's just for practice. The reduced recipe costs happened because the money was no switched to CE, which can be viewed either way. However, this writer is way too emotional, and frankly, I don't think even they know what they're talking about.
@Skender That could ruin the entire market system of Spiral Knights, in terms of accessories. That would make me very mad for accessories I've had to destroy.
My opinion: Graveyard this thread.
Ohwait, the promo's gone?
Oh goodie, let the prices rise!
That said I still think 600 CE for 5* crafting is what it should've been from the beginning: not too easy nor too annoyingly hard to get.
The promo just ended yesterday, and prices have jumped from 7400 to beyond 8000 in a day. I do kind of think that it's a little absurd.
@Pokenuevo
I have to admit I did find it a little overboard in the link I gave. I don't care about the training hall, or that it takes longer to get to 5*. How can I be mad about that? I probably won't use it, but that's not my problem, and working for my gear never hurt. It's the same for the AH. I rarely use the AH because it's just more efficient for me to make my own weapons.
I just wanted to show that it's a problem that's so easy to see even to him (as you said, he's too emotional to be rational). I'm concerned with how the people from SK are going to attract new players if CE will be so hard to get. Just like I have read in other posts, my friends also quit because of the 10CE/level rule. They didn't like the idea of being limited in playing time.
I'd also like to say that I don't blame any player for raising the CE prizes. Heck, I'd do the same.
Well, to the graveyard or not, I still think it's a problem that should not be overlooked. That's probably the reason why there are multiple threads about it as well.
it jumped to 8k a couple hours after promo * whistles innocently*
I already said the biggest ce issue was them making 4 and 5 star items buyable from supply depot, that took out a lot of the side grinding.
I don't even see the point of the Supply Depot beyond 3* really.
The prices go so far that we're far better at crafting 4*+ stuff rather than buying them for CE.
I find it strange. I just began playing three days ago, and the price was like 7200. It spiked. I don't know why.
@ Sgtbrown
Some people don't want to spend time heating up gear to get their 5* stuff. Many players, prior to the SD patch, made some profit making regular 5* gear to sell to other players. The SD prices are set so that it's better to make your own gear than buy off the SD and far better to buy off the SD than other players.
@ Zydrate-Academy
You started playing during a promotion. CE prices go down during promos, then return to normal after. Usually the change back to normal takes several weeks, not days...
Sucks for me, then.
Yesterday while doing a mission with guildies, I kept creeping up to buying some energy but every time it looked, it would raise a little.
It was annoying :/
I managed to buy some though. And all is well. Trying to spend it wisely.
Crowns are more useful than CE to a lot of late game players... AKA: the people who spend the most (Either crowns or $$).
FSC is profitable even if you run on CE. The featured auctions and a lot of regular auctions of nice items are in crowns. CE wins out slightly with lockboxes, but you still need to buy lockboxes with crowns. Above all else, Punch only accepts crowns, so anyone who wants to roll for UV's needs to convert CE into crowns. When people are willing to waste... oh... lets say 6 million crowns for a good UV, then they either have to grind FSC for months on end, or spend some $$ and sell huge amounts of CE.
I said it many times..but the problem is that we dont have new content(a real update)Its sad to see the ce rises up(for the f2p at least)but its worse to have nothing to do in the game...You question yourself why i should buy ce?and when the ce rises up the people who were in their limit of boredom they go crazy and make rage ce threads...We ll not have a promo for a while so the ce is going to rise a lot this time...DO AN INTERSTING UPDATE FOR GODSAKE IF U CANT THEN U FAIL...And its obvious now that the promo is no solution to control the market...We ll see a lot ce rages threads this time and i am wondering how many players will leave the game....
Don't worry, they'll trickle out a danger mission or two every few months, likely containing the same monsters we've always fought, in eerily similar surroundings.

Just be patient, CE will deflate soon enough ( maybe )
