All today I've been having this weird issue.
It seems to happen when Im returning to town or entering a mission, never mid run. The screen goes black, then I get bumped back to log in screen. If I try and log back in. It says I can't connect to server. If I want to log back on to SK. I have to restart SK (sometimes multiple times) before I can log in again. I know its not my internet. Because I took a break and played another online game for a bit, and never disconnected. Also while its not letting me log in I can load web pages just fine. I tried uninstalling SK and reinstalling in steam. And ive tryed rebooting my comp and restarting steam. Does anyone have any suggestions. I'm on a Macbook pro running Lion.
I have the same issue.
It happens when starting a mission, between lockdown games, entering or leaving the ready room, or leaving the Advanced Training Hall, but seems to be random. After a minute of black screen, I'm presented with the login screen, and attempts to login are answered by "failed to connect to server", although other internet functions are normal. This seems to have started after the major server crash on the East Coast. I'm running the downloaded client (not via steam) on a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard (the OS before Lion).
I can get back on, but it usually takes 5-10 minutes of login attempts.
Edit: i believe this is the same issue mentioned in the thread Missions aren't loading The maintenance patch helped for a while, but since the 7/4 maintenance reboot, it seems to be worse than ever.
