We need to organize the suggestions section.
Recently, there was a new player, who was shocked by how unbalanced LD was. And when he posted about it, he was met with jeers from the more experienced (and jaded) crowd.
I've noticed that there's been a huge amount of content which players agree that it needs to be fixed, but since the problem is so old and well discussed, that nobody bothers talking about them anymore.
Such as Iron slug. Ionized Salt bomb. Advanced guild halls. Cutter charge. Irontech Destroyer. 5* spur. etc.
Meanwhile, the things that the Devs have been changing has been a bit random. Who complained about antiguas? Or why are they so fixated on modifying RSS?
And the changes we're suggesting are usually not that hard to change. It would take less than 1 min to give Iron slug a damage buff.
So here is my suggestion.
On top of every forum, there should be an option to create a poll.
In the poll, players can add suggestions entries to the topic of the forum. Each suggestion entry has:
1. A ranking or 1 to 5 stars, 5 being the best
2. How many people voted/ranked this suggestion
3. A short description of the suggestion
4. A link to another forum/poll/website to for more details about their suggestions
5. An area for devs to show whether the suggestion is used in a new update, whether the suggestion is irrelevant, or just for general comments
All players reading the poll can rate each suggestion on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
Players can vote as many times as they want (notice that the top emtry is the one with the highest rating AND lowest number of votes, to encourage discussion).
All players can add new entries.
Players can only delete or modify their own entries.
Entries are ranked in the order of
1. New entries (less than 1 day old)
2. New and Highly rated entries (few votes, highest ratings)
3. Old and Highly rated entries (many votes, highest ratings)
4. New and low rated entries
5. Old, low rated entries...
Ideally, with the links, we can structure the polls so that the form a sort of ranked wiki of suggestions so that the Devs will have a better understanding of what they need to change.
Did I miss anything?
This thread may be a repeated concept, but the concept itself is worthwhile; the issue is when people use their derpbillion alternate accounts to vote for themselves. It would also come down to community bitterness. Not all users have a positive history. Not all users are welcome for something they may have done. These users will intentionally interfere with the system out of spite. If there were a list of regular users who had exclusive rights to this voting system it would be applicable, but the manager of it would have to be able to identify alternates and trolls and exclude them from participation. In my thread I created an index of stuff from other threads which has been received well, though the favorites of everyone may not be there. The creator of bad thread derpbillion wants all their garbage to be approved regardless of how commendable it is and will spam to get it there. We have a search function which searches for the word(s) throughout threads rather than the actual subject, but that would be subjective.
