Hi Guys, I'm here to advertise the World Guild Lockdown Tournament 2012,

The tournament will take place this summer and it is to determine a guild's skills in Lockdown. It is mainly to enjoy and have fun and (in my case) links to the Olympics. It's free to enter a guild into the tournament but please note the games will be in Tier Three Lockdown. We can only enter sixteen guilds so sign up quickly before all the places are taken.

Here are the stages of the tournament:

Group Stages
There will be four groups will four guilds in each group. Each game that you win will be worth three points for your guild with each game you draw being worth one and each game you lose being worth no points at all. After each guild has played three games each, the two teams with the most points will progress to the Quarter Finals

Quarter, Semis and Final
Each of the winning teams will play in the quarter finals and the winning guild will progress to the semi finals. After that the team that progress to the Semi Finals will play against each other. If a team loses the Semi Finals then they will be entered for the third place match with the winning team progressing to the finals. The team that wins the finals will win the tournament!

Prizes
We are working on prizes but they will be incredible and spectacular. They're will be prizes for:
1st Place
2nd Place
3rd Place
Highest Damage in the Tournament
Most Number of Captures
Most Number of Defends
Citizenship

It follows some exotic xenorules not known to the ordinary SK players :P

A defend is indeed killing someone who is on your point, reason being enemy on point > computer thinks they're trying to cap it > you kill enemy > defend.

Wut tier is this? Tier 3? Cuz my tier 3 gear isnt that good.... Will there be a tier 2 tournament? Well, id like to advertise Aegis team to join, i just gotta confirm it with my guildies to c if they wanna get in on it.

Side note: ppplllease have a tier 2 tournament. Itd be unfair for so many full 5*'s to go against a weak 4* like me.

It's great to see some organized events from the lockdown community, but the current game infrastructure makes it very hard to hold tournaments. Check out my suggestion thread addressing this if you've got a moment: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/60540

If you guys want to enforce a no revive policy, you can make this a 5v5 tournament and have one referee join each side to monitor the spawn for revives. Unfortunately there is not much you can do about UVs. I made some LD gear without UVs for fun, but it's a lot to ask of everyone to do the same.

To mean offense to you, chosen, every guild has an opportunity to win, UVs and CE revives are not the only solutions to victory. Won't say much because common sense could teach everyone how to win a simple game of capturing 3/5 points.

When we face the jemps i kill some and cap then the exact same people come back 2 seconds later with full health and kill me and steal the cap even when we stick together thats how it works. Its awfully annoying and they could win easily with that.........

I find it hard to believe u cant spend 6 mist on a lockdown game, after spending so much CE making your gear your going to complain about 6 mist pulling a team to victory? I'm sorry but i just don't see the big deal and I'm sure I can't be alone on this. But hey if you don't want to spend the mist I understand, its not like it comes back right?

Using SOME ce in LD like 4 or 8 is ok............but ce reving RIGHT when you die throughout the WHOLE game gets really annoying. The jemps can do that because they are rich.

I have only gone past the 8 once and that was a very close game for a magic bomb head. Jempire isn't as rich as you think they, (Ex: i have 7ce and 29kcr, im not ballin dude :3). Saying Jempire is rich and saying some people in Jempire that like doing lockdown have a good bit of wealth are not the same things. You are free to believe whatever you want, i cant stop you, but the truth is right here. (also incase it needed clearing up if you beat everyone and happen to lose to jempire u still get the 1st place prize).

I think some rules need to be set in place...

Ex.
1) Players CANNOT substitute players from other guilds to help during a tournament GLD match
2) A team that has a player that Leaves or Disconnects in a game will not be reimbursed with a rematch
3) After each tournament game, a screenshot of the game must be submitted to an official
4) A 'set' team of players (6 people) must compete and represent the guild during all the matches during a tournament VS another guild, but may substitute in between VSing other guilds
5) Guild unable to propose a team within a given time are immediately disqualified

And the list COULD go on...

THESE RULES ARE NOT OFFICAL and are NOT endorsed by Rein Of Fire

Be free to criticize or add rules, sometimes tournaments can be quite technical

I've learned to stop complaining about LD related things. Uv's don't make player's invincible, only better than average. Practice harder to overcome them. CE Revs, idk why it's such a big issue, the choice is always yours. Wether to cap, try to kill others, or heal. Btw, I look forward to seeing Rigorous destroyed >:D.

Teams shouldn't be "Set" because life goes on. A player might not be able to make it due too some reason, doesn't mean the guild should be disqualified.

I think the teams should be set with 3 people being extras incase something happens, and in the event of the Dc the opposite team picks either to keep the round or restart. This is turning out better than i thought, good job to you RoF, glad to see your guild is doing well, and i hope to see you all in the event. Good luck!

I think the Jempire should be banned from this tournament. The reason why almost all Lockdown guilds in SK dislike playing with the Jempire is because not only does the Jempire have the most immature and childish players, they also take advantage of their large concentration of p2p wealth in ce and abuse it to constantly revive in LD. Most Jempire LD players have ugly attitudes and unsportsmanlike conduct.

I'm sorry, but if you had read, maybe you would have seen we are not participating.

We CHOSE not to play because we knew people like you would whine about us being too "OP". Reign of Fire wanted us the participate, but we declined. We are only fighting an (I believe optional) exhibition match against the winner.

And maybe you should watch yourself before you generalize an entire guild and badmouth them on the forums. Just saying.

I've met a majority of the Jempire, And I don't remember them being as bad as you make them out to be, If they wanna use their wealth, Hell let 'em use it. They worked their way to the top and now their using it to their advantage, seems fine to me.
But just because a guild can whup you in GLD using CE rev's and uv's and what not, doesn't necessarily mean they are a bad guild. Neither does it mean the people in the guild are bad either, Me and my guild fought Jempire several times and we kind've find it fun having non-stop action.
